I ordered 4 lighted knit hats. And my husband LOVED it. I gave one to my mother-in-law and am giving one to my son. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they don't ship to Canada :( I had to send it through one of those mail shippers (BongoUS) who ripped me off on the shipping cost. It was a good thing that The Grommet gave me free shipping, cause I ended up paying more to the shipping company that I did to The Grommet! But all in all I was very happy with the product that I got. I see a few bad reviews, but I can honestly say I had no trouble and I loved the product. Now if they would only ship to Canada, I would purchase more stuff from them.
Gadgets gizmos etc. Lots of stuff but nothing you really need. Just more junk to clutter up your life. And the shipping is pretty bad because it's all independent businesses. I ordered something accidentally and immediately tried to cancel it and was told that wasn't possible because my order had been automatically sent to the vendor. When it arrived (a fancy lintbrush), it didn't work that well and would've cost more than I paid to return it. Then I found the item that had really interested me on amazon for free shopping. I'll never shop at grommet.com again.
I paid MORE than the product's cost to have it shipped Fed Ex Overnight Delivery, yet it did not arrive at my house until FOUR days later (and I only live 2 hours from where it shipped). When I wrote Customer Service explaining the issue, Jessica wrote back a rather snippy response without a resolution (she didn't even take the time to look up my order and had zero knowledge of the shipping options offered). First time ordering from The Grommet and my absolute last time. Waste of money - Steer clear!

Once you open any cosmetic purchase it's over for you. I ordered a 50.00 root touch-up, light brown, it turned my roots bright red. I was informed it could not be returned because I had opened it. How else would I try it and find it to be absolutely awful.
I would never trust them again.
I love Grommets' products. They have such unique items and often inspiring ideas. Customer service personnel have almost always tried to help. Since Ive ordered so much from this company, have had a range of experiences. Even problems with shipments were handled promptly and with kindness. Being handicapped, I truly appreciate this & will now pay more (if I have to) for great CS. Because ive had good experiences & love these products, I have gone back (& usually, I WOULD NOT) after being completely ignored & rcg NO RETURN CALL -as I SUGGESTED So asnot 2 keep her on phone!-

Would not recommend this site to anyone. Essentially just a middle man for smaller companies. Customer service reps seem uninterested in resolving problems, probably because they have very little vested in the individual products.
Maybe Amazon.com has spoiled me, but my experience with thegrommet.com caused me to make my first purchase my last. I had a problem with my order somehow adjusting between confirming my shopping cart and pressing send on my payment. I IMMEDIATELY called the company to try to get the order adjusted - forced into voicemail. I sent an email and received a return call later in the day. The rep was nice enough, but everything about their policy was not customer-friendly. First off, the order could not be changed, so I was advised to purchase the item that was not correct on my order again, trust the person on the phone to "look out" for the order so my shipping could be refunded, and then contact them once my order arrived to get a return authorization for the product that should not have been added to my order. Oh yeah, and I had to make sure I processed the new order that night or the "deal" wouldn't be possible.
That seemed like a lot of heavy lifting for a simple transaction. Though I received a small discount on the product for purchasing three items, the same items - plus other scents not available on thegrommet.com - were found on Amazon.com for the original cost. And, Amazon has customer service and refund policies that were far more flexible that grommet's. Ironically, when I looked up the product on Amazon, I was surprised to see numerous reviews of the product, all at 2 stars. The grommet return policy does not allow you to return a product you've used just because you don't like it. That's pretty scary with products that have 2 star reviews.
Just sayin', use caution. Most of the items I found on this site were also on amazon, and I know I won't get stuck in a defensive and unfriendly customer service process or policy.
Interesting website promoting new and innovative products in a variety of areas - home, travel, children, etc. I've ordered twice from the website and have been pleased with both items. Products were shipped timely and were as advertised.
