The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding warranty claims and customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled promises, poor communication, and inadequate support when issues arise. Customers often feel misled about warranty terms and express disappointment over the lack of resolution for product defects. However, there are also positive notes regarding the professionalism and care of delivery personnel, with some customers appreciating timely and careful service. Overall, while there are instances of satisfactory product delivery, the prevailing sentiment indicates a need for substantial improvements in customer service and warranty handling.

Bought Bedroom set, kitchen table, stools etc... to the tune of approx $3000. 00
The Bed is junk it's broken., need bricks under the frame to support.
Tonight we took the leaf out of the table and the table inside literally shattered. We tried to complain about the bed and got no where... we won't even bother to tell them about table... it's not worth the pain.
Do yourself a favour... don't buy from the brick.
Never again,
Disgusting to whom it may concern we had two beds totally wrong and we wanted and then the sales lady had her hands all over my husband and look deep dirty look that went right through me very creepy dirty slimy sales woman watch out ladies watch out for Katherine At the brick store in Hanna Alberta Canada
I got a TV from the brick and they delivered a wrong one after 6 days. Their salesman lied to me because of getting his commission. It is a shame for that shop. He showed me a black TV but they sent me a gray one. I called them and asked to return it. But they answered they could not do that. I never ever trust the brick salespeople. Please be careful when you are shopping and check everything completely because they are not honest. I do not recommend you the shop that I purchased my TV.
I have the worst customer service experience with Bricks where I have broken SOFA in my family room since May 2020 (today July 7,2021). It's been 14 months since I opened the 1st service ticket with Bricks service department of New market in May 2020. A rep visited my place after 3 weeks and assured me the repair will be done in 2 months. I followed up in Aug 2020 & they said due to the pandemic, the parts are delayed. So I should expect the Fix in Sep 2020.
I again started following up in Sep end and their operations manager (I think) apologized and assured me that part will come in Oct 2020 for sure.
I again started following up in Nov 2020 and the gentleman in the new market service department said the repair was already done. It was an extremely frustrating moment as I had already spent six months with broken SOFA. I visited several times and calls but their service department in NEW MARKET was always poor in response. They NEVER NEVER respond and work for customers. I asked them on what ground my ticket was closed in Nov when until Oct 2020 they said part is on it's way.
I even sent the pictures to prove to them that It's still not fixed, so how come they closed the ticket in their system?
I realised after 2 months of struggle that they were not interested in helping their customer, hence I opened another ticket (*******) from the website in Jan 2021. Again their contractor visited my house to take the same pictures. And this time i was given the tentative time for May 2021.
I started following up in May & they moved the service date in June. I followed up on June 1st week and they said it should be done in June last week.
Now today is July 7,2021 and no1 from the bricks service department is concerned. They have not acknowledged my emails. I called the Newmarket service department and the gentleman told me that his Ops manager is on vacation & he doesn't know how to respond.
He insulted me by offering $300 and closing the service request.
I still have no IDEA if there is any ACCOUNTABILITY within bricks who can address their customer. I feel like I wasted $400 by purchasing service from Bricks.
I request ALL BRICKS customers to NEVER PURCHASE THEIR WARRANTY SERVICE & never respond to their customers.
Is it not the usual practice on a manufacturer warranty the replacement is between the customer and the manufacturer. Came into store for a reselection mattress on warranty non pro rated as the mattress was about a year old. They said I had an instore credit for 2129. 00. So to get a new mattress from stearns and foster had to pick something on sale. The price of mattresses of course went up considerably and ended up paying another $1000 as the sale price was 2699. 00. I am not impressed with their mattress warranty policy. They use it as a way to profit from a warranty. If i had picked one that was not on sale
I would have paid double. The way a warranty is handled is replacement from manufacturer is authorized and the mattress reselection choice is given. They will not see me anymore. Not a good policy.
I bought some items from Brick. After payment, my delivery was booked for July 2. The delivery men David and Ray were right on time and very courteous. They were very professional and careful not to damage the property. I was surprised to see no damage considering the sizes of the delivered appliances. They also cleared the whole carton mess and were considerate to remove their shoe and put on shoe cover. This is to say a gigantic thank you to David and Ray. You men were fantastic!
We went there looking for all new kitchen appliances and came back very satisfied. Nadine was our salesperson and she helped us throughout the entire process. We loved everything she showed as and we loved everyone's cooperation there to help us pick out our appliances. Very satisfied with their service.
I purchased an Angus leather recliner couch couple of years back. Two years in, the cushion is almost non-existent and it feels like sitting on the floor almost with the sagging, and even worse when recliners are up! The problem isn't just that the furniture itself is cheap quality, it is also that the Brick people sell warranties lying straight to the face. When asked about what the warranty covers, they give a pretty rosy picture saying it covers almost everything except that it does not. This is realized only when it is time for claims.
I did think that anything under 3 years would be definitely due to furniture issue, so I took the 3-year warranty instead of the 5 year one, but it did not matter because the cheap quality furniture is just one factor with other factor being warranty lies. I wish someone posted their experience with Brick or with their warranty which would have made me not purchase their product.
Brick by far has the worst furniture quality and it makes it worse with the value they give to their customers. Also, when you file a claim, they would send a person from Belaty to verify who would just take some notes without even clearly observing the issue and few days later, they just decline. Looks like partner-in-crime!
Bottom line, lesson learned the hard way. It is the last thing I buy from Brick. I hope my experience will be useful for others looking to buy furniture from this store. Don't fall for low prices! The quality is much cheaper than the price and would not last even couple of years. The same product is 1000$ more now on their catalog.
If you want to avoid having an experience similar to mine, AVOID BUYING FROM THIS STORE!
I don't normally shop The Brick because of its shoddy reputation for product and sales support. I recently was in the market for a Murphy bed and saw one on a sales flyer. I went to the Winnipeg, Kenaston location and met up with sales rep Roy Tia. While that location didn't have the item on the floor, Roy worked hard to answer all my questions about the product. Later that day, I was contacted by the Kenaston store and advised where I could see the product in another Winnipeg location. After viewing the floor model and comparing the exact product with a number of on line sources, we found the Brick's price was very competitive. We decided to purchase the item from The Brick and Roy worked with us to seal the deal and ensure that the item was available at the distribution centre when promised... this required him to spend some of his day off in confirming the arrangements to ensure my pick up experience was positive and productive. Pick up at the Distribution centre was friendly, efficient and competent. We'll see how the product works out at home (we just received it), time will tell. This has been a positive experience due to the diligence and professionalism of Roy Tia... good job Roy!
Very bad pickup system and customer service desk unprofessional at all. 50 minutes to receive pillow in a small box, delivery man was shouting because I ringed the bell twice. And 20 minutes on the customer service desk to talk to someone. Customer service manager's reply was "go and file complain online"
Very very bad service
I had an outstanding salesperson, Liz Hatoski, at the Upper James Brick.\Extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with.
Warning would not buy couches from the Brick, I have been waiting 8 months for a couch and no one has been able to provide update on the status of my delivery. Telling the customer "next month" when you have done that for 6 months straight, is not an update. I have followed up numerous times speaking with several different people and no response to my question regarding an actual delivery time. Hard to believe a long standing Canadian Company would have such poor customer service. Let alone how is any retailer is able to advertise or sell a product they cannot deliver in 8 months baffles me. They were quick to charge me for the couch, so they have the money for it, but I am still empty handed.
Avoid yourself the headache and look elsewhere for couches.
Purchased a coffee table online and although I was forced to wait-out the pandemic timeframe, the customer service in the Midland store was second-to-none.
Dan, the Midland store's manager, and Susan, the store's Customer Service Rep, made the experience enjoyable and worthwhile. This is my first Brick purchase; I'm confident it won't be my last.
5 star rating for The Brick in Brantford On, Best customer service by Fred R. I was very pleased with the time and expertise in all the items I was looking too purchase for my new home.
I ordered furniture from brick and was completely satisfied from beginning to end. When my furniture piece and tv were delivered, during covid, the gentleman were excellent. Hence I suggested brick to a friend. She ordered a tv and stand also but unfortunately the delivery men barely put the articles inside the door, in boxes and everything. My friend is a senior living alone and she asked the fellows how she would install everything. Of course the answer was, not my problem. Now brick is charging her over $100 each item to come and take items out of box and plug in the tv. To be honest they should be ashamed.
I recently got a sofa and I'm very satisfied with their service this lockdown their online services very helpful. Especially their employees I was talking to one of them named Kan, he was very helpful and well behaviour.
Thank you for all your help Kan
We had a very good experience with The Brick on United Blvd. Coquitlam. Julie, the lady that helped us gave us an outstanding service. She is very professional, polite and friendly and made us feel very comfortable in making our choice of the furniture. The furniture was delivered in the promised date and another piece arrived earlier than promised.
The delivery guys, I did not get their names, were very efficient, polite and professional. They worked very fast and cleaned up the area they worked in.
We would shop at the Brick again. We are happy customers.
Best customer service! Brick White Rock I had a great experience with Fatema & Harmin, 100% recommend this place!
Beware with the warranty you purchase at the store, The sales people encourage you to buy warranty for anything you buy with the insensitive that if you don't use it you can get that money back towards staff at the store, Watch! That warranty only has 90 days after the delivery date, my warranty was passed due for 2 days and they didn't want to honor it even though the stores are closed, I have always purchase my staff from the Brick but after this I will never put a foot in any of their stores
1 star because I can't get lower! Mother in-law passed away leaving a 2 month old chair with extended warranty, foam is sagging and bunched up already, looks like the chair is at least 2 years old and it's not covered under warranty of course, what a piece of crap and not a cheap one. I definitely won't be purchasing anything from The Brick ever.
Answer: Brick has worst customer service. Their service department in New Market office are extremely pathetic.
Answer: They are a massive scam company. No customer service, no loyalty to their customers. Once you have paid, good luck receiving your merchandise on time, or getting replacements for the damaged goods. They lie through their teeth about timelines and promise things that never happen. They do not communicate amongst themselves, so one person will tell you one thing and the next has no idea and says it can't be done. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. Stay away!
Answer: Many furniture companies out there who are more reliable in shipping products on time. Amazon and Wayfair were good (although, I had one Wayfair order which had some damaged pieces that Wayfair has not been good at replacing).
