The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding warranty claims and customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled promises, poor communication, and inadequate support when issues arise. Customers often feel misled about warranty terms and express disappointment over the lack of resolution for product defects. However, there are also positive notes regarding the professionalism and care of delivery personnel, with some customers appreciating timely and careful service. Overall, while there are instances of satisfactory product delivery, the prevailing sentiment indicates a need for substantial improvements in customer service and warranty handling.

I purchased protection plan for my sofa, when it broked they told fill a form online and we will call you in 5 business days and it passed 1.5 months they never called. I called and they told sorry we are delayed we will call you back, when asked when they said we don't know and hung up the phone. I had to make a plaint against them to receive finally a call and to have a credit of 900$on sofas which actually means nothing because their sofas are more expensive with 1000$ than in other places
Ordered furniture. Was given multiple confirmations of delivery timeframe. Delivery time was missed at which point I tried to call customer service (no driver contact info available and tracking was not reliable), customer service line hung up on me a couple of times and eventually got through to an agent who assured me that it would be delivered by 4pm, so I waiting another couple of hours and then at 5pm the driver cancelled. At this point I've been waiting literally all day so am really disappointed. I contact customer service who offer no solution and say it could be days before they can try send it back out. No real solution offered, meanwhile I am without furniture and down about $1700. Would never go near this company again.
We recently purchased a washer and dryer at the Brick Kirkland. When we were called about delivery
We asked about having our dryer taken away when they delivered the new one. Angelique was very helpful in getting back to us with this information. She also helped me navigate the online payment site so I did not need to go I to the store. Thank you Angelique for being efficient, courteous & patient.
I have been a Customer of the Brick for almost 2 years now. I have had nothing but the most wonderful, experienced Ladies, help me with my purchases.
They know my budget. They know these are " Big Purchases, " for me and Emily, who I first met when I went into The Brick, when they were just opening at Charlottetown Mall.
I had no INTENTION of buying ANYTHING.
I went into look.
I found immediately, a Couch and Loveseat that had EVERYTHING I ALWAYS wanted.
I talked to Emily, the Amazingly Wonderful Sales Consultant and told her what I could afford.
SHE MADE IT HAPPEN.
She did not in anyway try to " up sell " me or talk me into more purchases.
Actually, I look at her now, as a Friend.
I recently went back, because I ALWAYS wanted a " Recliner. "
She found me the most PERFECT ONE, matching my other Furniture I had purchased, PERFECTLY.
You would think it was a " Set."
I ALWAYS found a Beautiful piece of Art, a Bookcase, and the same Lamp, that I love, from my previous purchase. I love it that much, I bought the same one, but for another room.
Again I told her what I could handle each month, AND AGAIN, MADE IT ALL WORK.
THANK YOU, EMILY. I CAME OUT WITH A TRUSTED FRIEND, AS WELL.
Than, Emily was on Vacation and I needed some quotes on MATTRESSES and got another FABULOUS Woman, Clarice.
She went up and beyond to help me with this situation and I am FOREVER grateful.
These Ladies know their stuff. They are willing to work with you to make your purchases, AFFORDABLE AND POSSIBLE.
I RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE.
I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH THE BRICK AND ALL DUE TO THESE TWO LADIES.
PLEASE GO SEE THEM, TO MAKE YOUR DREAM FURNITURE A REALITY.
THEY CAN DO IT, AND YOU ARE NOT PRESSURED ONE BIT.
THEY LOOK OUT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS AND KEEP THEM WITHIN YOUR BUDGET.
AND, AGAIN I LEFT WITH TWO LIFELONG FRIENDS.
SINCERELY, LYNN MACNEILL
Worse customer service I have ever encountered. Was advised my furniture would arrive today only to be advised it will not. When I called the last resolution was to come in and get a refund. Wow. First time and last time ever going to the Brick
If I could give zero star I would, I bought set of sofa, they were damaged upon delivery, it has been more than. 2 months that I'm still waiting for the parts to arrive, every time they give me stupid excuse…. September 2nd I received half of what I order ( queen mattress and split box spring). Terrible customers services, poor management.
We bought putty sofa from the brick and their pet sentence while selling the things is "u should buy warranty as u have kids" we bought warranty for five years and foam of the sofa got saggy within 1 year and ripping of the cloth started even within 6 months when we claimed our warranty they refused to provide it as they told its just normal wear and tear means we wasted our warranty money... their dealing and warranty is just SPAM
The Brick Anjou in Montréal. Worst worst worst service customer EVER. Never call me
Back, never answer, delivery the wrong TV, need ro pay an extra 500$ to ger the tv i was suppose to getand i was lucky to get there cause it took me 16 hours of call, emails, chat etc et. In 2 weeks to have it. Grrrrrrrrrr
Less respectful ever seen….
Never again!
Angela, has been very helpful and efficient. Many thanks for your help and service! I had a bad experience with the salesman with my table and Angela diffused the situation and ensured that I was ok because the salesman upset me immensely in trying to rip me off big time. Angela took it upon herself to help snd ensure that I received the best customer service
We went to the Brick at South Common, Edmonton and the sign posted on the door read open at 9 A.M.We waited in the parking lot till 9 and then entered the store. We browsed around for 15 minutes before an employee approached and said we had to leave because the store did not open till 10. Never in my 50 years of shopping have I encountered a more incompetent or rude establishment. It seems they are too lazy to change the hours of business on the front door.
I posted the following review a while ago as the Brick's customer service would not respond.
After the review, I received a quick response promising to connect with me.
Now, after being ghosted yet again by their "customer service," I am back.
I would not recommend purchasing anything from the Brick - it is not just that their sales reps and managers are ill-informed about their product, but it's that they do not have the integrity to back up their promises.
While buying a sectional I asked the sales representative if the fabric on the one I was looking to purchase would pile. She assured me that it would not. I asked again (to be sure) and she brought over a manager who also assured us that it would not pile. I asked what I should do if it does pile and she said, "Just bring it back."
To our surprise, after such a clear guarantee, the couch did badly pile.
I went to the store and was told that the Brick does not warranty against piling. I told the manager that I understood that different types of materials are prone to pile but that is why I was so clear and so careful to ensure that the one I was purchasing did not … and that the sales representative guaranteed that this one would not. He said that just that morning he held a meeting with the sales team to tell them to never guarantee against pilling. That is great for future buyers but it did not help me with what was either dishonesty or ignorance of the sales representative who guaranteed my couch would not pile.
I reached out to the warranty department through the Brick's website. I could see that they sent my complaint to the local store (who did not contact me). I tried a few more times to try to get anyone to even call or email, but there was no response.
I understand that a sales representative and manager may not know their product well, and so make guarantees that they shouldn't, but then integrity would dictate that you still stand behind your promises. I was so clear and so careful in my questions.
We have been looking for new king size mattress set for a while, decided to go to the Brick for the sale. We had been a number of places looking. Met a nice salesperson name Licia. She helped us make a good choice on a great mattress, and better yet helped me understand how great "cooling" pillows can be if you are a hot sleeper - and I learned something about how I sleep which has really helped with the cooling pillow I bought. Thanks to Licia and the sale Manager for helping me amalgamate my order and save on delivery too! We got the text for our order as promised, no delays, and better yet no pressure sales - just good service. Thanks Licia on Regent! Angie.
Worst place ever to buy anything. Customer service is the worst. Bout a couch over a month ago the put the wrong pieces on it so it won't go together. The arms for it are not attached because of this. Waited over three weeks for them to get back to me and nothing. So went back to the store and they send someone out to look at it. Then they call me and say the wrong pieces are on it. Well Duh. Waist of a call there. Then they say we gotta look into it to see when we can get the right parts. Well going on four days and of course no call. So my advice is shop anywhere but the Brick. The Brick in Vegreville is the worst. They really need people with customer experience. That how my couch sits.
Long story short I bought a washing machine that took my clothing hostage (a complete lemon) at The Brick and they wouldn't return it even though it was within warranty and because I called for a service tech from samsung and not them. I suggested I call a service tech from them to confirm that machine was a lemon but they refused. No refund, nor return was granted.
I've also bough furniture here and it turned out to be extremely cheaply made.
I'm never buying from them again.
Customer service is not a priority at the store! My mom purchased a mattress that was a floor model and told to buy the mattress cover in order to exchange, but upon delivery she discovered it was not suitable for her bed frame. I return to the store to make an exchange and the sales woman firmly said no exchange on floor models. It's not stated on the receipt and the mattress is in the original cover.
This is a store that has rude and pushy staff and dose not care about customer satisfaction.
I have purchase a Sealy Mattress from the Brick on cyrville rd on early sept 2019
On feb 2021 we notice the mattress thread on top all getting loose and side seems all falling off you can see the sponges we fallow up with warranty with pictures because it's under warranty for 10 years. Up until now we are in august 2021 sealy wont replace the mattress the brick washed there hands out when I try to call the store no one would answer the phone at the end the day Sealy agree to fix it in our home they set us up with a very independent technician he only service morning hour meaning If you have a bussiness you need to shot your door for his convenience I waited seven month nothing was it done wasted of time cause us a big headaches I made myself a promise never step a foot at the brick poor management

I would like to acknowledge the efficient, friendly and helpful service provided by Liz Hatoski (sales) and Sabina (Customer service) at the Upper James location. These wonderful ladies helped us manage our issues and offered personalized assistance at every turn. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help us work through our problems. AM
February 2021 I ordered appliances for a Brand New house in Ottawa and waited 5 months for a refrigerator and 7 months for a gas stove that I had to switch to a different brand that was scratched and not in a box. The customer service sucks, not even one day had I been informed ahead of time on not meeting the supply date (by the way the supply date was extended every 2wks) and only got to know when I called to follow up.
The stove replacement was delivered on July 25th, my Friend had to open the door for a very rude delivery guy. By the way I work out of town and I do not live in this house and noone has ever lived there and this is a brand new house less than a year old.
On Aug 5th my friend's husband went to give access to a contractor from the brick who was hooking up the fridge and gas stove and both the cotractor and my friend's husband noticed damages on the floor in front and on the side of the stove floor space. They took pictures and advised me and I then emailed the brick. One can tell that it was caused by the stove. The brick's answer after 4 days is that I should have reported in 24hrs. I paid hundreds of thousands of $$$ for this hoise and I find it taken advantage of by the brick. I WILL KEEP FIGHTING Until they fix my floors. Anyone who was frustrated by the Brick? Any advice?
We have had a horrible experience with The Brick in Vaughan. Do not shop at The Brick they don't care.
The Brick Sunridge in Calgary-
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Their sales people lie to you to get the sales and the commission. I wish I could give them 0 stars but that is not an option.
Ordered a Reclining Sofa and Chair in March 2021 and was told sofa would be here for May and recliner not until July. Second week of May comes, I contact them and they tell me no furniture until end of July.
I go to the store and freaked out on them... Sofa was delivered 3 days later.
Now it is August 9th and I call about my chair and am told not until November. Told that no stock of this reclining chair across the nation.
What the heck? They are still selling this recliner and telling the new buyers that it will be 6-8 weeks and taking full payment. They know darn well that they can't meet these dates but they will LIE to you just to get your money.
I feel like I have been robbed... The Brick took my money in March but just keeps saying sorry, it is delayed.
The Brick takes advantage of people like you and me to take our money, hold it in their pockets and the little guy (like me) is left with nothing but empty promises and so called delays.
The whole situation has left me sitting on the floor, out $2,000.00 and stressed like you wouldn't believe.
Answer: Brick has worst customer service. Their service department in New Market office are extremely pathetic.
Answer: They are a massive scam company. No customer service, no loyalty to their customers. Once you have paid, good luck receiving your merchandise on time, or getting replacements for the damaged goods. They lie through their teeth about timelines and promise things that never happen. They do not communicate amongst themselves, so one person will tell you one thing and the next has no idea and says it can't be done. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. Stay away!
Answer: Many furniture companies out there who are more reliable in shipping products on time. Amazon and Wayfair were good (although, I had one Wayfair order which had some damaged pieces that Wayfair has not been good at replacing).
