The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding warranty claims and customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled promises, poor communication, and inadequate support when issues arise. Customers often feel misled about warranty terms and express disappointment over the lack of resolution for product defects. However, there are also positive notes regarding the professionalism and care of delivery personnel, with some customers appreciating timely and careful service. Overall, while there are instances of satisfactory product delivery, the prevailing sentiment indicates a need for substantial improvements in customer service and warranty handling.

Ordered a couch January 2022,
Henry, has been saying out couch will come in at a date, we have to call to see if it is coming that day, then only to find out has been delayed, this has happened 3 times and we still have no couch. Only spent 4000$.
Consistently changed my delivery date (now 4 times). I spoke with numerous employees mostly from the Hamilton Location where I had purchased the bed, and was consistently told the date for delivery was confirmed. The day came for delivery, and nothing. When I followed up with a call, I would receive a NEW delivery date.
I was told by sales person we maybe would get it by bthe first week of June but by the time we walked out it was up to last week of June. Then it seems that every time we call it has move up 15 days. We are now up to the end of July. We are wondering if this is some kind of scam where they get your money and make interest on it and know for a fact they are not getting the item for months. Thank God we didnt go for there $500 extended warranty.
I bought a table & chairs & "matching" bench seat from the Brick. They delivered it 3 months late. I was leaving the following day after delivery for 3 weeks on a planned trip so did not have opportunity to unpack the bench seat until I returned. It is the wrong height. Although they were 3 months late delivering, & I foolishly accepted delivery the day before a scheduled trip, they will not allow me to return the bench which was delivered incorrectly as I didn't notify them within 48 hours. No acknowledgment of being 3 months late in delivering it - guess I should have canceled my vacation due to their inability to deliver in time. I will pay double elsewhere before ever shopping at the Brick again. Shawnessy Store manager Lisa was particularly unhelpful & rude.
The Brick Review
Worst experience with a furniture company ever. Though our sales rep was nice, the couch was to be ready for May 2022, then pushed to June then to July and then to June 2023. Found out it was being made in China and not North America not impressed. They oversell but do not deliver nor do they communicate date changes. We found out through different means and not from the Brick about the delays. We are getting our money back but even that takes 3 to 5 days. Terrible business. Never again
I purchased a sofa and chair set from the Brick in March 2020 and purchased the extended warranty on them. I had to have the seat cushions covers replaced because the covers were coming apart at seams that was 13/10 2021 now the seat cushions have fell apart again and the store is not giving me a date for replacement I spoke with store manager and still nothing I have spent a lot of money at this store (188 Clarence St. Brampton) and will not shop there or at the Brick anymore I feel they are lying to me
We purchased a tv from the brick that was damaged upon opening. Because we waited for then 48hrs to open the tv they said there was nothing they would do to help us. We were never told about the 48hr policy verbally or in writing. Nothing on the bill of sale to show this. Blamed us for the damage even though we sent them pictures of the 0hrs used on the tv. We had shopped with them for over 20 years and they would not do anything. Even the sales associate said they could have taken back to tv and wrote it off under damages but they simply chose not to. We will never shop with them again.
The Brick has absolutely horrible customer service -- read non-existent. No one ever picks up the phone, nor replies to emails. When given this feedback in-person, they just shrug. Do not shop here!
The delivery was on time and the two men were very knowledgeable on how to handle the furniture and were kind.
Their delivery system is an absolute joke. You will get told one thing and arrange to be home then at the last possible second you get a call saying that their delivery drivers were out drinking last night and didn't feel like coming into work today. Also, I am in absolute shock that a company as big as the brick doesn't have a driver on call just in case their drivers don't feel like showing up. Guess that's what happens when high school education isn't a pre-requisite and judging by the employees, discouraged.
I recently did a renovation to my home and spent over 10 K in appliances from the Brick. Dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer, Stove, Washer and Dryer. We ensured to buy the additional warranty. After 6 months my Dryer stopped working. We contacted the Brick and were informed the extended warranty was held by King and State. We called them and the sent a technician and were told the Piece we needed was on back order and it would be two to three weeks. For six months we kept calling them and they said it was on back order. I washed and hung dry clothes for six months ( family of 4). They finally came and repaired my dryer, which then broke again three weeks later. The Brick keep trying to sell us a new dryer at a discount. And King and State is saying they will give us a pro-rated amount on our Warranty. No one is taking accountability. I would never. Ever shop at the Brick again. And will warn everyone i know to stay away from them as well.
Service désagréable, il n'ont pas assemblé le divan comme ils auraient du, ils ont faillis accroché le ventilateur du plafond, et ils ont déposé les divan dans l'entrée en bloquant l'accès au salon. Pire service à vie.
Extended warranty cash towards a new purchase if the warranty is not used is a scam. My email receipt, pdf copy, phone call over the phone with how to claim the warranty money back, and sales person in the store all failed to hint or mention any conditions that may prevent you from retrieving your money after. When asked where the policy is stated on my purchase, I was given a new print out with it on the back and was told I am expected to read the fine print. Funny how none of the staff I spoke with mention that? Although your sales people are friendly and helpful I think most customers would appreciated it if you could be more upfront about your 90 day policy on getting your un-used warranty money back.
I have bought all of my Appliances/Electronics/Furniture over the year from the Brick and have always received outstanding service. My most recent purchase was a Sofa and Love Seat. The price was excellent (on sale) and it was "Made in Canada" which also sealed the deal. I was skeptical at first because I thought I would be waiting months for my furniture delivery date due to 2 years of Covid and lack of Merchandise. To my delight the sales rep "Zane Little" indicated that the Sofa could be delivered to me in 5 Days! It arrived and set up speedily and efficiently by the Brick Team. However, the Love Seat could take 2 weeks to maybe October or November to arrive. Zane said he would see what he could do and try to hunt one down in the warehouses across Canada. I just received a call today and my Love Seat is ready for pick up June 7th! Thank you Zane Little, The Brick Victoria Langford for an
AWESOME JOB! Judy Selina - Victoria, BC
My rating would be Zero - if I could - the 1 star is way too generous!
When it is the homeowner's responsibility to fix damage done to a $500 screen door when delivery personnel is removing an un-working appliance? When the delivery personnel takes advantage of a young adult and advises that the document they are signing is just a delivery notification. The Deerfoot Meadows, Calgary, Alberta store (by Ikea in the SE) states that it was the damage sheet was signed and now I am left with a screen door that does not work.
DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Service was great. Explanations on warranty and about the products was great, no pressuring to up sell he listened to exactly what we wanted within our price range We left very happy with exactly what we wanted!
Thank you Pedro!
The Brick is a sales-focused organization, meaning hey will do whatever they can to make the sale and leave you high and dry when it comes to warranty, support, and installation. I received a stove, washer and dryer, and fridge. The washer and dryer needed installation, the installation order was done badly so it took over 2 weeks for an installer to come, and many back and forth with the brick to get any assistance at all. The salesperson who facilitated the sale stopped replying to my emails. Recently the stove had issues and they said I had to contact the manufacture, even though I paid for the warranty, saying their warranty only kicked in after a year, which was not what I was told and understood.
I know the deal might look good, but just stay away, they are a poorly serviced company and you will probably regret it later on.
I bought a mattress last year around $900 from Beacon hill Brick store. The mattress started giving me back pain and I contacted them. The staff sent me a link to fill it and put pictures of the mattress. According to them the mattress should be sinked till 1.5 inches then only they will think about it. They didn't care about my health and my back pain. I sent 2 times the picture of the mattress that showed it went down till 1 inch. I feel like it is my biggest mistake to buy from brick. I could rather buy from Costco. Very bad customer service.
We had a sofa (sectional) the laying part was broken (wouldn't connect to couch), sofa chair had no padding in one arm rest. They brought us new pieces and never took the old.
They are extremely impolite and uncooperative. They sent me a damage mattress they were not cooperating me for a return. No one listen to you and they just tell you their terms and conditions. I had such a bad experience shopping with them
Answer: Brick has worst customer service. Their service department in New Market office are extremely pathetic.
Answer: They are a massive scam company. No customer service, no loyalty to their customers. Once you have paid, good luck receiving your merchandise on time, or getting replacements for the damaged goods. They lie through their teeth about timelines and promise things that never happen. They do not communicate amongst themselves, so one person will tell you one thing and the next has no idea and says it can't be done. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service. Stay away!
Answer: Many furniture companies out there who are more reliable in shipping products on time. Amazon and Wayfair were good (although, I had one Wayfair order which had some damaged pieces that Wayfair has not been good at replacing).
