My friend bought a bridal gift (menorah) for my daughter-in-law online in August that cost $150! The menorah arrived broken.
Since then my friend and daughter-in-law have been trying to get it replaced. According to the Hudson's Bay, this item is from a 3rd party seller but you would not know that from going on the Bay's website where you purchase it.
The Bay has said they are having difficulty contacting the seller but would continue to do so and that a return label would be sent. That was well over a month ago and still no return label received.
How many times does The Bay think a customer should have to contact them? How does it become the customers issue when they receive a broken/damaged item from the Bay?
Been dealing with this for 3 months….the wedding has come and gone! Being such a large company, The Bay should be refunding the item and dealing with their 3rd party seller themselves!
My package was delivered by TForce, and at my apartment door without being contacted first to confirm if I was home or not
My package was stolen, TForce won't take responsibility neither is The Bay
Now my package is gone do is my money
I have asked The Bay multiple times never ship by this awful and unreliable shipping company to no avail

After receiving 3 sofas and a reclining chair, all defective, i am ready to give up. I have spent countless hours submitting photos and being placed on hold trying to speak to someone who can help me. I bought a natuzzi leather sofa. Ive received three and all are defective as was the reclining chair. I am still trying to get the third sofa returned for a refund. I was finally able to get a reselection for the chair… i chose 2 other natuzzi chairs, long story, i paid for 2 chairs. 4 were delivered. I sent two back and cannot get my money refunded. I did not steal 2 chairs! As for the sofa, turns out that Natuzzi will no longer ship to north america and im sure the bay has sent me anything that was returned by other customers. At one point they offered me 15% off in the bay gift cards to keep the sofa. Unbelievable!? I want the sofa that is as the floor model is! So im disputing the charges to my credit card for the replacement chairs and im still on hold with whatever excuse they call customer service. I know it sounds crazy. I cant believe it either!
Tried to return a Polo short without receipt. They told me they have to mark it 90% off, i. E. on $140 shirt I get $14. Outright robbery. They are still living in the 1990s. This was bought through their credit card but I was told they o not have records of anything. Sad story for the Bay. They will not last in business for long.
I bought an 'intelligent mopping machine' from their market place, the item cost $50 in total (RED FLAG). The item does not work at all, it stops whenever it hits an object, it does not even try to go around it. I started a return and received no answer for 1 week, I contacted the bay and they said they will escalate to the seller and that's it. NO HELP FOR REFUND. What's worse? I wrote a review 2 times about my purchase and non of them appeared. Another intended buyer will get scammed again by this seller because the bay blocks the bad reviews for them :)
Blocking my bad review from showing up was so dishonet, I will never ever buy from the bay again, this is so concerning.
I ordered a $500 toaster oven which came with the upper corner dented in. As the packaging was good I do not attribute the damage to the Bay. HOWEVER, as the return process is complicated and I would have had to wait for a replacement, I asked if we could come to an accommodation that could make both parties happy. They offered me a $20 coupon - 4% of the purchase price of a VERY expensive appliance. I countered that I felt 20% would be more appropriate and they just stopped talking. No response to emails AT ALL. Maybe they just hope I will go away... not likely!
They decided to put plus size with regular clothing so you love a shirt and wow not in plus size. Looked at 10 racks and no plus size. Was told I have to walk the whole store and look for it manually or look for a mini plus size rack in the middle of the hundreds of regular size choices

If I could give zero stars I would, but it does not appear to be an option. My order was lost, and their suggestion was to take it up with the carrier and/or go buy another one of the lost items. No replacement product was sent. Not responsive customer service. Requested a return and they gave me a timeline of two billing cycles(if it was going to be approved!), which is two months. Just absolutely atrocious, won't be ordering with them ever again. I hope they go bankrupt with this sort of attitude towards their customers.
Worst experience ever! Purchased a pair of uggs online from HBC, they apparently contract out their deliveries to a company out of Quebec Intelecom. Driver made one attempt, refused to give me 2 minutes to get to the door, drove away. Texted he'd return next day. Never made another attempt for 3 more days. I called customer service for delivery options, scheduled a new delivery date. Waited all day, no delivery attempt made. Checked tracking, showed my purchase was already shipped back to HBC!... what a joke! Never buying online from HBC again. HBC, please use a certified delivery company like UPS, FedEx, etc.

I have sent several messages wanting to speak to a "buyer" at Hudson Bay…. Regarding some pillows that I purchased…. Every time I speak to customer service and ask to speak to someone that being a "Buyer" within head office they want to take an order from me absolutely sooo frustrating. Not only have these pillows been amazing sleeping pillows the cost was $200 each and I have purchased these on multiple occasions the last two times I have ordered them they are awful they have changed how they are made not using same quality product they have in the past like Hudson Bay the company that makes these pillows sources out their customer service and cannot answer any of my questions as to why and even better the price at Hudson Bay has now increased by $100. The pillows now cost $300 each I had a customer service rep on the phone today who lives in South Africa… really nice?… and the reason I cannot speak to someone in Canada what a joke…..
I ordered beauty items after that I got wrong item. I called customer service they said l need to return it. When l was such l need to print return label and went to return sop and l did. I need my order so l called customer service then they didn't care about my situation and l asked my gift card before l used with my first order, they said l need to wait 24 hours to get it. Waiting more than 29 hours l didn't get it. After that l call customer service they said some free item must l need to get already gone. But l ordered again without free item then it will come more than one week
Oh my god don't do it any online order with Hudson bay customer service and workers are not help and not care about customers

I ordered online and they sent me nothing. When I follow up my order they sent me a photo behind the building door, a box that even not a clear photo that is your package and it is delivered and you should call the police we are not responsible! Now I really don't know what should I do?!
Just visited the bay in Southcenter Calgary. Very put off. My wife and daughter asked for directions to chg room and showed rooms on the 2nd floor in mens department.
I went looking for them and was sent to main floor womens chg rooms.
They need to get there act strait. Don't send Women/Girls to chg in Mens Change Rooms. So stupped... Will not return for a long time...
I ordered furniture jan 22, arrival to b june 22, I called the week before arrival I was told everything was on schedule, I threw out old furniture and tv, painted and prepared room. Two days before delivery I was told there was a 3 month delay, but all furniture was in the garbage, I called numerous times, told to BORROW FURNITURE from local store, really, I was told by supervisor that I was lied to, when asked about delivery in june, the bay was told in may from the supplier, that furniture was delayed. They lied to me, now I have a supervisor Pat that said she will take care of the problem. Great. I phone her every day for three weeks, she wont call me back.
Dont ever purchase anything from the bay
Hudson's Bay blankets are prized around the world and it is often, in my experience, that the people who most want to buy them live outside Canada. I have just been told that if I want to send this extremely heavy blanket to a relative in Ireland, I will have to buy it here and ship it myself. Can this be true? I really don't want to buy it from Amazon but you can see why Amazon is successful. The customer service guy tried to help but he was tied to a script and could not. He tried.
Maybe you could have special shipping systems for uniquely Canadian items to be sent overseas as gifts.

The day The Bay was sold to the US, this once great company went down hill. Americans have no class, remember their Target fiasco? The site is now using American spelling and it's offensive they want to gather details about your body including your race when setting up a profile. Appalling. We need to stay Canadian and not be absorbed by the horror that is below the border.
I recently made an online purchase from The Bay store. They shipped a box to my home with my name and address on the label bit when I opened the box it had someone else's order and invoice. I called up customer service and the lady was very uncaring said to take the box to The Bay near me and I will be credited for my purchase. I took the box to the store and the manager said that this mixup never happens. She said she could not credit me for my purchase at the store because mine was online so she said to call customer service and explain my situation to them. I did that and their investigation just showed that the box was delivered to my door. Then they said they will send me a special label to send the box back to the warehouse but the store manager took the box from me, so I didn't have the box to return and they refused to give me my refund. They shipped my purchase to someone else and they don't want to take any responsibility for their mistake and issue me a refund. I've called customer service 4 times and explained my situation and everytime they say they will have the investigation team issue me a refund but, up to now I have not received it. I can't believe that a big company like The Bay is robbing their loyal customers. This is horrible service!
I tried a dress that was under the price banner for 69.99. There were 3 identical dresses hanging. Took the trouble of trying them. Went to the counter and price read 134 $. Manager Hasán was called and he said the dress was probably misplaced. When I told him that they were three of the same. He goes, checks and comes back to tell me there were none. I did not buy the dress and I went back and took the picture of the rack where they were two dresses hanging. He not only lied to me but he was also condescending and unprofessional. Will not be going back to the bay at Square One. Honestly I'm turned off from shopping at bay.
Answer: They are a legitimate company which is managed poorly.
Answer: After calling them several times many of which I was put on hold only to be disconnected I finally get through to a representative. Not an easy process at all
