The Animal Rescue Site

There are so many much more legitimate rescue sites to donate your money to. If you want your money to go to helping the animals rather than overhead please look elsewhere. There are local sites for rescue where ALL of your money goes to the care and well being of the animals. If you are just buying their products because you think that they are cute that's another story. As a retail outlet, their products are marginal... not worth the extra bucks and their customer service could use an overhaul. I bought a pair of shoes from them because I thought they were a legitimate rescue site. I received the wrong sized shoe and was appalled when I looked them up to return the shoes. They work through an third party to advertise and collect your money, and you know that that's not free! I would have returned the shoes and happily paid the postage if I'd thought I was still providing help to the animals, but knowing that they are just a retail outlet I would have expected them to pay the postage to correct their error but they won't. I will pay to return the shoes, get my money refunded, and donate it to a much more worthy rescue site. Oh, and I'll quit following them on Facebook too.

I'm tired of all the BULL that your people are giving me on my order, plus I don't like being told I'm a liar. I was told that my order would arrive to me on Tues 20th of Dec.So far I have been told 3 differnt stories from you. These items were a Christmas gift. You have some VERY RUDE people working there makes me wonder how they treat their pets (if they have any) since they treat their customers wrong.Won't be ordering from them anymore. Makes you wonder if this company is for real. Warning, don't shop there. Donate to your local shelter, or the ASPA.

I used a new program I have that automatically finds promo codes for me and applies the so I don't forget. When it applied several, I figured it was OK and went through with my order. Almost $100 worth of things that I purchased. A few weeks went by and I didn't receive my order, so when I contacted them they told me that due to my abusing their promo codes that they had canceled my order. They didn't even contact me to try to remedy the situation or allow me to explain, just accused me of wrongdoing and cancelled. I'm sorry, but I didn't need any of the little crap that came with those promo code's, or to be accused of doing something that I didn't mean to. Far as I'm concerned, they had a glitch in their code and that was their problem. They should be thanking me for pointing it out to them and not making a big stink that I didn't get my items. Flat out insulted and alienated a new customer.

I placed 2 orders in the last week with the Animal Rescue Site. Right after I placed my order I realized that I forgot to add a code for a free scarf with the order. Finally I get a respond almost 2 days later from customer service saying it's too late that my order has been shipped. I checked again and it's still not even shipped. Very poor customer service. I will not be ordering from them in the future. I bought a pair of shoes from them a while back and one of the shoes has a rip in it after just a few wears.

I ordered what appeared to be a decent quality pair of rain boots. Before ordering I read the comments / reviews and many suggested that if you are a 1/2 size to order up to the next size that they run small, so go bigger. So I ordered a full size and 1/2 larger thinking in case I wanted to wear socks I would have extra room as well. Size 10. I normally wear an 8 1/2 to a 9 depending on brand, so I figured can't go wrong with a 10.
Received the boots and the odor of the rubber / packaging was incredibly strong. Tried on the boots which were of very thin and poor quality and no where near a size 10. I could barely get my foot in.
It is obvious after receiving these, that they are made very cheaply and probably out of the country, so definitely not USA made.
I have emailed the company asking for a full refund, including taxes and shipping as the fact that these are not in fact accurate sizing and the quality is so poor, none of which is any fault of my own, they must refund me in full. I also emailed that if they want their boots back that they will need to send me a full postage paid return label and package to return them as I am not going to pay anything for receiving or returning a misrepresented product that is not accurate as described.
Based on the reviews here I am very skeptical that they will refund my purchase in full including all fees, taxes and shipping but we shall see. If it turns out good or better than I expect I will post another review.

I ordered 4 items from The Animal Rescue Site. Two were fine and what I expected - The Pays Galore Day Excursion Bag and the Baby Paw Sterling Pendant. However, two of the items I received were not what I expected.

Both the Cat Face Satin Coin Purse and the Paws Galore City Bag (Black) are MUCH larger than I had anticipated. I did read their size (in inches) on the website. But it was hard to visualize until I saw them. As soon as I lifted the City Bag from the well-packed carton, I knew I had made a mistake! The city bag 16" wide, as it says on the website, what it does NOT say on the website is that it is VERY HEAVY even empty. And - to me - it also looks very cheap! I realized immediately that, if I were to put even a few usual items like a wallet, glass case, etc., that I always carry inside - it would definitely be too heavy - and awkward - for me to carry. The website photo of a woman with it casually slung over her shoulder is misleading. The bag weight of this bag was NOT disclosed on the Animal Rescue Site - if it had been, I never would have ordered it. I placed it back in the box, along with the large Cat Face Coin Purse and the packing slip, packed it securely and called to ask for a label to return it.

PLEASE READ THEIR COMPLICATED, COMPREHENSIVE RETURN POLICY! For me, it means I have to pay $11 to return a $35 purse! Even if you order and immediately change your mind, the policy says you pay for UPS ship out PLUS a UPS fee PLUS return UPS ship back! I don't order often online, but I was absolutely shocked by this policy. Clearly, this website is not interested in competing in the marketplace or they would be more customer friendly.

In addition, my simple question about how the animals get all the bowls of food they say will be donated as a result of my purchase was not able to be answered by customer service!

Because of my disappointment in their inaccurate representation of the city bag, I will not order from the Animal Rescue Site again.

This past month I made my first purchase through the Greater Goods Store. I had originally found them through the Breast Cancer Site. My best friend rescues animals & I didn't have a clue what to get her. I help her cause but wanted something for her. I bought her a bunch of different shirts, a fleece jacket, & a door mat. My order came with a few freebies as well. In the end she is getting some fun Christmas presents AND it provided almost 100 bowls of food. I am glad my purchase can make a difference.

Shipping was decent for the time of year. Everything came nicely packaged. If it smells it can be washed. Everything is treated with chemicals these days to keep all the different warehouses from sending you their bugs!

As with all internet purchases read the fine print to know their return policy.
