I saw an ad in my newsfeed from this site. I love them for their donations etc but I was highly offended to see their current promotion on The 4th of July was a flag shall. Literally the flag. All comments were negative. No feedback was provided. I'm livid at the company that I mistakenly thought did better.
I have bought items from the animal rescue site many times. I am usually very satisfied
I love their shower curtains and blankets.
My wife and I decided that we needed an emotional support dog for our son who has ADHD. Through extensive research we decided we wanted to get a Stafford Shire Bull Terrier. Our apartment complex normally doesn't allow dogs, but we spoke to our leasing office and they gave us permission as long as we have a letter from our sons doctor which we did. From the research and feedback we were given from some of our colleagues they would be the perfect fit for our home. On our application we informed the facilty that we have a documentation about our approval to have a dog, because we were interested in a Stafford named Chase. Someone named Lois then emailed my wife stating the application was being forwarded to the foster home for review. The foster mom, who was extremely pleasant informed us that Chase was with another family but she had an older Stafford named Layla. She is 3 years old and extremely well trained and super laid back. Sent us a picture and video of her and we after a long talk agreed that she was right fit for our family. We were very excited and looking forward to Layla being an addition to our home. We were told that Layla would have to be transported to New Jersey and agreed that our home would be a great fit for her. We made arrangements for her, noted what her diet was and my wife has been in constant contact with Layla's foster mom to make sure she has all of the information needed to make her transition smooth. We had fees that we paid and Laylas foster mom let her know that she taking care of her paperwork so there were no issues. My wife received a call from Lois notifying her of the pick up date and times for her arrival which was Sunday May 31st at 9am in Williamstown NJ. Lois then verified that we paid the adoption fee which she did send through text message. Lois was surprised that we were allowed to have a Stafford Shire. At 347pm Lois calls my wife back and informs her that she is "back peddling" on our application because someone she knew informed her that pets weren't allowed at our apartment complex in Central NJ, even though the facility is in Jacksonville Florida. My wife then informed her that we had all of the proper paperwork to forward to her that we did have permission to have a dog. Additionally we have other tenants that do have dogs because of different circumstances. She said it didn't matter that we had a letter from a doctor and my wife restated to her in order for us to have approval we had to have this letter. She then says she will refund the adoption fee and ends the call. My wife visibly upset and heartbroken tries to call back to reason with her but no answer. When she finally gets back in touch Lois she is extremely short with her even saying she doesn't look at the applications she just forwards them and doesn't look over anything until she is about to transfer them. Even insinuating that its the foster moms fault for not looking over the application. Lois decided that she is too busy and will speak to the foster mom and hangs up on my wife. All of this is very unfortunate, my wife has been caring for patients for over a decade as a Nurse and we have a loving home for Layla to thrive in. There was no reason to deny our already approved application after already being screened and the ability to care for Layla as good as anyone else. In addition she would be a great companion for our son. I find this behavior, rude and shortness unacceptable. I can clearly see that there are many dogs on the website that have a need for a good home. Why deny Layla that.
Wow, I am honestly SHOCKED at the negative reviews on The Animal Rescue Site (/greatergood). I have been an AVID donor AND customer for 2 DECADES & NEVER ONCE did I have a problem, concern or negative experience. (And NO I do NOT work for, partner with or have EVER worked for The ARS).
I have also recommended MANY of my animal loving family & friends to them, and according to their feedback, they had the same or similar experience as I.
I have absolutely nothing to gain off of taking my time to write this review & I write anywhere from 2- (absolute maximum) 5 reviews A YEAR (which for an extremely active online shopper, is nothing). I am merely writing this to get a VERY honest, thorough and true review out there.
Remember, this review consists of TWENTY YEARS, not just a one time deal where something was off in my order or shipment.
Lastly, the items are good quality FOR the price you pay. Don't expect something that's $200 quality for $20 but you also won't get 20 cent quality for $20.
We've bought several pair of flip flops. They are comfortable and holding up even after 2 seasons. Shipping isn't the fastest, but nothing to complain about. We've never had to contact customer service, so can't comment on that.
I ordered a week ago, then I read the reviews here and got worried but I got my package today and I am 100% satisfied with the fast delivery and quality of the 2 pajamas and 2 travel mugs, super cute and well made.
Great for holiday/gift shopping! Lots of amazing merchandise for a cause.
I've purchased a king size paw print blanket and it's my favorite.
I have purchased from this website many times over the last couple of years. Everything I have received has been great quality and super cute. I've also received each shipment in less than the amount of time that they have given. I will continue to order things from this company. They have never let me down!
I several times tried to contact them. They never answer!
I doubt if the clicks i made over years are helping animals. I think it is helping the people behind the website!
They dont sell hardly anything for men? Why, because women, sorry, are easier to swindle.
I ordered quite a few items from this site recently, and then just sat back and waited, hoping the items would be usable. Have received two out of three boxes, and every single item will either work for myself or as a gift. Very cute items, well worth the price, especially since they seem to be having a lot of holiday sales right now. One top I had seen on other sites (for a lot more money) was a really nice surprise, as it actually was true to size, and usually those "made in China" types of tops run really small. I had been prepared that the $120+ I wound up spending might be a washout, but decided not to return anything because it really is a good cause. However, since everything fit fine, and I love the purses and I just received the cute mugs and love them as well. Definitely five stars from me.

Getting mad reading the reviews! Lots of these negative reviews are only because they don't like the outcome of their clothes! Hello this is a donation site! I do not work for this company but I must say if people are so against what the causes are for why are you buying from them or just leaving a bad review! I paid money towards this company on till they all have a home sweater and it came fast and fit great. Its lasted me 5 years and in the photo u can tell still great!
Thank you for supporting the many various causes we raise funds for. We just hit our 60 million donated mark in October and we couldn't be more proud of the customers such as yourself that contributed to this achievement.
Please stop making petitions about things you know nothing about! With 20 million wild cats, not domestic, killing our wildlife and even in your own country, a decline in birds, no one can catch neuter and release. They need to be wiped from the environment. So many species on the verge of extinction because of drought! Do your research before you organise petitions. Wildlife is always, always more important than pets.
Cats are not an endangered species!
My daughter gave me a set of sheets for my birthday. They had paw prints on them. Fit the bed well. No problems sleeping on it. Don't know why there is so many negative reviews.
Barbara - I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the sheets. And thank you to your daughter for making the purchase and supporting such a great cause.
Wow so bad i will never buy from them
I had an order and i only got 1 itam i only found oyt becouse i called in my email it shows me both will be shipped to me this is crazy
Scam
This site does have cute stuff. But if things go wrong, don't plan for an easy send back. All of the shoes/sandals are made in China and they aren't true to size. I had to send back a number of sandals from this season, and included two pairs from last season's order which were too small (brand new, in packaging, and the same items they are currently selling). They said they would not refund me for the too small items, and were keeping them! To sell, of course, since they are the exact same new products as this year! Unbelievable. Just keep my money and NOW the product as well. I won't buy here again -- it's too easy to get the wrong size or an item that really doesn't work. Their customer service isn't accommodating, when you need them to be. I'm going to have to deal with this probably through my most recent credit card purchase since I can't get satisfaction from the company. Avoid this company.
Another Chinese based knock-off site, like many of these pages that come up in your Facebook news feed. This is one of hundreds, mostly hosted by Shopify that try to appear to be legit but are just out there to take consumers money. They steal images from artists, designers and photographers. Buyer beware of FB pages that advertise pages like this.
I was lured into placing an order by the flood of FB ads in my feed, the cute designs featured in the photos, and the idea that my purchase would support the care of "rescued" cats and dogs.
From my experience, I suspect that the gushingly positive reviews on their site are fictional. Poor quality merch, nonexistant customer service, and returns for ANY reason are on you.
Just give the money to a local charity.
The Animal Rescue Site is an amazingly easy way to donate to 9 different causes by simply clicking the link for either a single cause, or as many of their 9 selected causes you prefer or donate.
Clicking to donate only takes a second & all 9 less than a minute, making daily donating fast & easy.
They will even send you a daily reminder if you want.
Each has their own link along with an explanation of what the charity is, what your click will provide for it & how previous clicks have been used to help.
There is also a link to The Greater Good, an online specialized boutique that donates a portion of purchases as well.
The items sold are good quality & reasonably prised with daily specials.
I have personally been using both sites for almost 10 years now and have never been disappointed by anything pertaining to them.
I was sent 2 of the same item even though I ordered 1. In the same order I received a Hooded Jacket, the inside was full of animal fur and other unidentifiable stuff. Very pre-used and returned by someone else! I contacted them for both items and was told they can do a refund or reship but your responsible to ship them back. $18.00 for shipping!
Buyer beware, return shipping is on you no matter what the reason!
Gerard,
Your story is very interesting and I am sorry for the issues that you have encountered with the adoption of your pet. However, the Animal Rescue Site is not an adoption agency and this adoption would not have been facilitated through our site or our partner GreaterGood.org. The Brantley Animal Rescue Coalition may receive donations in the form of grants from GreaterGood.org and the Animal Rescue site, but we have no authority over the personal adoptions of pets.
