They have algorithms that spin you so you cant login. Lying your password and username does not match after a reset. Rediculous

Don't use this app for anything you want to keep - they may suspend your account for no reason at any time with no explanation and no way to get the account or the data back. Actually encourages people to use it only for bad purposes since it can't be taken seriously.

My experience is not good for textnow because I not work properly... Therefore I request u to solve it.

This app is a complete scam. I live overseas and paid for a number for 1 year. I used it a few times and then my account was locked. I emailed support and what I received is below. As you can see, they wont explain how you violated the terms, nor will they reopen your account. BS SCAM!

They are fraudulent, completely fraudulent. I subscribed and within a day they ban me from using their platform and i had not even used the number, they said their system detected an algorithm that tells them that i am not using the phone number according to terms and agreement and they wont tell me the reason and so they blocked me after collecting the money i paid to get the line locked for me exclusively and they wont say why they feel i went against their terms so i dont understand what is going on except that they are fraudulent

After five years of using this app and being general fine with the service I was terminated from it for violating their Terms of Service (ToS). They won't explain what I did or reinstate after chatting with them (no customer service number to call) but of course they're going to keep my money and Apple won't refund it either since it's been more than 60 days since my subscription renewal.

Great little scam they and Apple have going on. Cut the service but keep the money. Then split the pot at the end for a nice payday.

Don't get sucked into their scam world and save yourself the aggravation.

I've been using text now for like 3-4 years because paying a phone bill sucks and sometimes is not possible when your on my kindof budget. I was skeptical of the sim card thing for free service but I love it! I hate that I didn't do this sooner, it works, I have full bars of service, and no bill, not an Obama phone type free phone it's your regular phone but it's free. Textnow is by far the best

On June 12,2021 I paid $6.99 CAD to lock my number for one year, but it was taken by someone else on July 15,2021. When I contacted the customer service, they accused me of releasing number or claimed that someone else used my account to release my number. They repeated this multiple times when I asked for a refund. This is an example from the transcript:

I quit using TextNow several years ago. Now someone has my number, and my contact list! He texted my daughter and some friends, inappropriately.

I used the Textnow app for a little over a year. I consistently got spam calls and messages, my boyfriends texts would never send properly, and occasionally I would texts from my contacts of long strands of Chinese letters that they didn't actually write. The only upside of the app is the unlimited calling however even then the calls volume wouldn't always work and it'd glitch out my phone. This app is awful and I highly suggest you try a different app such as textfree.

I am sick and tired of this company letting scammers use their services. Their "solution" is to just text EACH of the scam numbers the command #STOP to block them. Only, when that happens, another one quickly pops up in its place. They are not doing properly verifying members as required by US law and I am frankly sick of it. Reporting the numbers does nothing, but reporting the company to the FTC and lawyering up should do the trick. If you are being messed with by scammers using the crime-permitting app, then please, if you are an American, consider the following information for your reporting purposes which can be found in the attached photos.

Login is an ongoing and constant problem. There are no real solutions, and no real customer service. Customer service is non-extant, even for paying customers.

Takes several minutes to launch the app and make calls; need to reboot the phone repeatedly; crashes repeatedly; long lasting black screens; no calling audio settings that you would normally find with a traditional cell phone carrier -- all of these snags despite a perfect Wi-Fi connection, which makes me conclude that TextNow is a totally useless app that makes wild claims about its performance on social media.

Textnow was the answer to all my needs for reliable texting AND phone calling. BUT, today, IT ALL changed. I have been able to complete ONLY one text so far today using Textnow. And even typing that one text AND sending it was VERY DIFFICULT. BECAUSE starting today, TEXTNOW has become riddled with VIDEO commercials(that have no "X" to CLOSE them). These video commercials pop up and remain on the screen, and not just somewhere on the screen, but COVERING 97% off the screen. And when one commercial video is through with its interruption, I am able to return to my text message I was in the middle of typing, and AGAIN, THIS VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT POPS UP A GAIN, and Ilose my train of thought AGAIN. This happened repeatedly, the SAME video commercial, too. I am so frustrated and LET DOWN by Textnow. But I have to say, TextNow, you were a great thing for me for many years, thank you. But now, I have to find a replacement, unless this PROBLEM can be dealt with and FIXED!

I was writing a text message, a long one at that, thinking I could recover it after phone dies, well guess what, NOTHING! There is no backup, saving so forth, dropped calls, broken calls, and yet they don't help fix the issues, its a freaking joke, I'm sooooo done with this stupid app, they want people to use it but they don't do anything to help ar fix problems, IM DONE!

I have 0 chance of ever coming across this company online or registering for this company's service. However these days I have been receiving spam emails from them at a really high frequency, which makes me question their professionalism and also care for potential customers. The email is even upsetting and you cant even unsubscribe from their suspicious mailing list. It says you are going to lose your phone number soon - WHO DOES THAT? Definitely not what a responsible company would do.
