Do not open an account at TD. I recommend any local credit union instead. TD was very responsive and accommodating to in order to get me to place my money with TD, but as soon as they had my money and the staff earned their commission, they completely ignored me and made me feel completely disregarded. I have been contacting the staff who helped me set up my accounts in an attempt to invest my money, as they state I cannot do that myself, and they have been ignoring every email and attempt to contact them (in attempts to invest my money) for over one month now.
Be aware of the people who works in td easy web. Somone trying to hack my account from their department,. They changed my email address and my husband's email address and sent me a change pasword notifications over the text, 4 times! I will close my account soon! This is really alarming!
My identity was stolen after applying for a credit card. The card was used in Toronto before I even had the card delivered to my home. The bank will then claim that they will do a fraud investigation, but they won't. Please do not deal with this bank. Everything on-line seems to indicate there is a breech in confidentiality when it comes to accounts. When a fraud occurs, you will be responsible for it, regardless of what their online guarantee states.
If for any reason, ie theft fire etc. you need records of a bank account at TD Canada Trust you are out of luck

When your mortgage is bought by another bank, you don't have any say in it. You might think that all banks are alike. Not true. In dealing with TD Bank, who bought out rmortgage, I have NEVER dealt with a less professional financial institution.
On September 27,2023 at 10:25 pm my elderly friend called TD bank for help to find his checking statement online. He doesn't have enough English, so the agent invited an interpreter. It took about 10-15 min of interrogation even his account information was in front of him and he did his best to answer her questions. As a result he never got the answer about WHERE on their site he needs to look for the statement and after the question about her name the agent hanged up herself and interpreter. I witnessed this conversation and it was an amazing experience. Wish TD bank have a recording of it and somebody will listen to it.
TD bank statements online are really hided and for paper statements they charge $3 from elderly people with extremely low income.
I was very unhappy with my recent experience at T D bank. It used to be a friendly, competently run branch. Fortunately I was able to catch two mathematical mistakes before signing the document I went to the bank to see to. Correcting these mistakes after signing the document would have been time consuming and difficult. The Financial advisor was impatient, and seemed oblivious to the mistakes he was making. Was his treatment of me due to my age or gender? I'm looking for a difference bank in Victoria.
TD Bank is deliberately punishing me for no reason. I deposited a legitimate check for $1,500.00 almost a week ago. The money had already been taken out on the same day I deposited the check. My check cleared & TD Bank had the money quick. I called their CS line, but the person gave me an attitude, rubbed it in about how I have to wait until 09/13/23 to receive my own money & and then ended the call after I demanded my money. I have bills due and groceries to buy. They don't care.
Do not deal with this bank. I spent HOURS on the phone correcting this "bank's" mistakes. Each time, I was on hold for more than 10 minutes before talking to someone. I went online to their website to change the checking account that the automatic payments were made from. TWICE, they incorrectly pulled the money from the previous account leading to an overdraft. I finally got frustrated and canceled the TD credit card. After at least 3 times on the phone and canceling the account and paying the balance from the correct checking account, I shut down the account. Days later, I received a paper check for the amount due and I looked online and sure enough, I owed ANOTHER BALANCE after closing this account. I called AGAIN and was on hold for about 15 minutes. They offered to "take the payment over the phone" and told me that I could simply cash their check. I spent at LEAST 2 HOURS on the phone over all of this and now DUE TO THEIR MISTAKE of sending me a paper check, had to go online and make another payment and I have to go to my bank to cash their damn check. This is the MOST USELESS bank I have ever dealt with in my life. They can't do anything write and will leave you on the phone for HOURS trying to correct their numerous mistakes.
I complained about very bad customer service. As revenge, my account was frozen. My money was stolen. After a week of fighting for it, I got the money back. Belinda was especially rude, saying they didn't want my business after 6 years. I said I didn't want their business, after lying, cheating, stealing, and bullying!
After waiting for 18 days, I'm disappointed that TD Bank has yet to address my concerns. Even my attempt to reach out to the CEO as a shareholder was met with silence. This experience strongly suggests that TD Bank prioritizes profits over service improvement. It's concerning to see this lack of responsiveness, as it could lead to customer neglect in the long run. Given these circumstances, I cannot recommend TD Bank and am considering selling my shares. Investing in a company that remains silent at all levels seems unwise.
I just started bank
At TD. I noticed TD
Taking.12 cent form my saving account. So they could charge N.S.F. Charges.
Bill payments.
To icbc. No taken.
Causing more Fee's. It's a daily event going into the bank.
Watch your money
They are well know
For over charging customers. Look up the lawsuits!
Omg. Wow.
If I committed fraud I'd go to jail!
Not T.D...lol
Avoid doing business with TD as this is the worst bank when it comes to withdrawing your money!
The worst bank in Canada. They embrace discrimination and racism throughout their management chain. They are the peddlers of the green.
Refused to help with unauthorized charge on Visa. Told me I could block it after I pried the information out of him but hung up before explaining how to do that. Rudest person I've ever had at TD and I've been banking there since I was a kid that's a long time ago. Time to put all my money in the other bank, I have
I have never had a worse experience with a bank. TD Bank will get your for everything they can. They charge fees that are not in align with the reason in addition to them editing profile information without customer knowledge. The 1-855 number hung up on me at least 9 times while trying to connect to a representative. The Customer Service representatives are not knowledgeable of their jobs and should be trained properly on customer questions and needs. I recommend using another bank for ALL your banking needs.
I lost my debit card recently and because I don't drive I called to have the card delivered to my house not realizing that it would lock me out of my online banking app. When I called to see if they could help me gain access to it via username I was told "no" and that he couldn't give a username over the phone. It's mainly frustrating because I can't pay my visa. I'm going to go into a branch on Monday and see if I can do it there but they honestly need a better system we're you are not completely locked of the online account.
Message: I just stood in line for 15 minutes watching their sole teller attend one single customer. They were having a nice conversation between the two of them as the line grew to 6 people. The line formed in front of the manager's glass walled office to no avail. Finally, I left, as did two others. This is a shame considering all the money they make to provide spacious, empty centers, with ancient legacy computers and apathetic employees.
I wrote them to say: "Feel free to come to my house and wait 15 minutes to pick up my deposit."
I had some GIC investments with TD Canada Trust. In August 2022, I converted these to a RIFF. I had to do this in person at the bank--180 Dundas St. In Toronto. The employee I dealt with said I would have 15% of my monthly payment of $600 withheld in taxes. That seemed fine to me. However, for the first five months I received the payment, only 10% was withheld. Then, in the sixth month (January 2023), no tax was withheld. I did some research on the Internet and found that because the payments totaled more than $7,000 a year, by law, the tax withheld had to be 20% per month. Therefore, I should have been getting a payment of $480 a month. I complained to the bank, and the next month, I received around $475 (the wrong amount). I complained again. In March, I received $450. At that point, they escalated my case to the upper echelons of customer service at the bank. I was assured that the problem had been solved, and the bank gave me my missing $30 plus another $70 as an apology for my inconvenience. In April, I finally received a payment in the right amount--$480. I sighed, deeply relieved. However, in May, I received two payments--one for $480 and another for $393.76. How can a bank not get a simple RIFF payment right? What else are they not getting right? What kinds of mistakes are they making on million-dollar investments? In my view, TD Canada Trust is so incompetent, they should be out of business. Their business is managing people's money, and they can't do it.
