I am from out of town and was looking for an oil change for my vehicle as I was going to be travelling quite a bit on the weekend. Found this place on the internet and was very pleased with their quality of service. Thanks again guys and I will be back.
They were great in very way. They checked on me and let me know how long it will take. They asked for I needed anything like a water bottle. The service was great in general
The tech screwed the plug on too tight. Caused major damaged that cost a lot. These take 5 shops are not worth the convivence of a quick oil change. Never know if the techs are trained are not. Company lacks integrity. Never worth it!
Took my Rover to the Preston Rd location in Dallas. After 1 hr of sitting in my car while a bunch of idiots wrestled with the air filters and skid plate I left after paying $108. Later I discovered the oil filter was 4 full turns short of tight! Pathetic.
Went to 5 minute in Morehead City NC today. A little pricey but i didnt have to bust my knuckles! Like the fact that its drive in drive out.
5/4/2023 8a.m. Paid $92 with a $5 off coupon... guy says to me we tapped off your fluids and washer fluid, well I said I didn't see you do that, he said there quick well sorry guys I had water in my washer fluid tank so you didn't tap anything off. Lying just lost a Customer
The workers are friendly, helpful and fast. You can't beat free top ups either. They noticed I've been burning oil so I was told to go in anytime to top up. I did and am happy to say they topped up not only my oil and windshield washer but also tightened my tire bolts for me. A great group of guys and great service!
This was my first and last time ever going there, the prices are expensive for a not so great experience. Now I understand why their competition is always busy, I will continue to take my service to the competitor for a lower price and quality service. They youtubed on how to shut off my maintenance light and failed at that. For almost $100 of service that I normally pay $70 expensive lesson but a learned one. ALL LIES!
My experience yesterday at Take5 was definitely positive and over-the-top customer service oriented.
Seth engaged professionally and took time to answer my general questions —
Christian assisted in a kind and friendly as well and the two of them worked so well together
I told Seth I would write a review as I shared more to appreciate about his and their services and topping off fluids, checking air pressure!
Waited ~15 min for an oil change (they were busy upselling the customer in front of me). Charged me $105 (including a first-time customer discount of $10). As I drove it out, the car started shaking. They had no idea what it was, but after a couple of minutes, it stopped. So, they said it's fine. Driving it home, the transmission was not engaging well, the shaking returned and got increasingly worse, and the check engine light came on. Got it towed to a Ford dealership. They ran a diagnostic and determined that the air-intake hose was very loose and the air filter was not reset properly. The diagnostic cost $150. Draw your own conclusions.
They were fast efficient and quick got me in and out within 15 minutes or less. Filled all my fluids and checked my air. Great service great location.
I took my 16 year old son to get his 1st oil change in his car and the whole procedure was terrible. A brand new location i thought would of had great friendly service but it seemed like only one person had a clue what they were doing. What made the whole deal worse was it was windy and a employee was more concerned about a flag and then made the comment loud enough for us to hear she said "they had better bring that mother Fu!ing flag back. I made a complaint to the head office and got a call from the manager and he offered me a free oil change so i go to get the free coupon and he apologized to me and i agreed id try them again. Then as i am driving out i hear a employee say "get the fu!k out of here" 'm not sure it was directed at me but here i am getting a apology for bad language and then i hear it again. I don't recommend this place at all.
The about us page on the website says let us impress you with our staff. Its not happening at all
I was having all 6 of my cars serviced by take 5. The had a new guy in the pit and he stripped my oil plug bolt. The new guy came and apologized and after was pulled to the side by his lead. I saw him getting loud with him so i got out of my car and asked the lead what was going on? He said, Nothing but he should have let me speak with you. I told him you did and you did not say anything about the plug except you were working on it. They put a repair plug in and i took it home. It was leaking oil on my driveway so i took it back. I was then given the run around multiple times and they attempted repairs. Finally the fourth time to take 5 in two weeks. I had enough i requested to speak with the manager or DM they both played catc& mouse. Finallyvadam the manager calls and says read the print on your receipt it clearly states we are not responsible for damage to your vehicle. I called corporate to place a formal complaint byt all you get is voice msg. To leave a message but you never get a call back. This company is the worst. Year back Walmart changed my oil they stripped a plug on my new car. Came and told me had my car towed to Honda and paid for rental & repairs. I didnt go back after, but this compay is a joke and management is very rude and unprofessional. Oh theyvalso refused to give me receipts to multiple repair attempt. I was told i didnt pay anything so they dont provide receipts.
I received the best Customer service & results regarding my Carfax messed up with the Carfax synchronization system. Robin from Take 5 Oil Change in ( Coquitlam BC) Just went above and beyond to fix my problem.
Absolutely recommended!
Be careful when you pay by debit here! There is a tip option on their debit machine. I sent my teenage New driver to get my oil changed, and she thought it was mandatory to tip since it came up during payment, so she tipped. Since when did tipping become a thing for oil changes?! This is not only ridiculous, but absolutely despicable! I will spread the word. Shame on you Port Coquitlam Take5! Last time you see my business!
I had my oil changed, coolant replacement, and filter. When I left my check engine light and a caution light was on. I had to take it to my shop and find out what was wrong they had left a plug UNPLUGGED, they looked for so long under the hood to figure out what was wrong and it was so obvious as soon as you lifted the hood you could clearly see it was unplugged. I used to go here for all my oil changes but I will NEVER return here again!
My 1-year-old daughter's mother went in to get an oil changed as she usually does she loved to take 5 they'd always take care of her car needs and well, in this case, I'm not sure what happened yet we are doing an investigation on the car ultimately caught on fire while her and my child were in the vehicle the brakes stopped working and the car was engulfed in flames luckily she was able the rescue our daughter witness on the scene said that if she were 30 seconds late she would not have made it. This is in Indianapolis, IN
First you need to tell people how much it is BEFORE you change the oil. Second stop ripping people off. My car for an outlander was 88.00 after a 12.00 coupon. That is stupid. Should have went to Jiffy Lube 69.99, groupon 61.99. How can one place be 69.99 and you guys 100.00 (without coupon)? I will never be back and will never suggest anyone going here.
Take 5 in Mukwonago, WI took it upon themselves to put synthetic oil into my vehicle without asking me. They said that I have high mileage & did I want the high mileage oil. I agreed since I know that regular oil has a high mileage version. When finished my bill was $101. I was used to paying around $40 & I asked why was it so much? They replied that the oil filter for this vehicle (this was my 1st oil change with a new to me, used vehicle) is very expensive, the highest priced oil filter for any vehicle possible. I thought, bummer, I just bought a used car with a super expensive oil filter? What were other things going to cost for this car? I am now selling this car & looked up how much an oil filter actually is for this car so that I can warn the new owner. Online the filter sells for $1.33-3.00! I thought I was looking up wrong part. Called the Take 5 & asked. The woman said they now are under new management, but it looks like the employee took it upon themselves to put in synthetic oil. Nice… I then asked if every time I was there did they put synthetic in? She replied,"the last time they put a synthetic/regular oil blend". I asked that I thought once you put synthetic oil into a vehicle, that you always have to stick with synthetic? Her answer was, "I don't know, that's a good question." She told me that she is the new assistant manager of this location, but she does not know the answer to this simple basic question? Scary! Steer clear of this place if you don't want your car engine ruined, possibly.
