T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

I found T-Mobile to be the worst carrier ever.My wife wanted to get 3 lines for the family because of the 3rd line free promotion. She got 2 lines and was told she have to wait 2 months to add a third line. So. I said okay I will go with them also since she had less than a month to go. I got 2 bills talked to T-Mobile and they said we had to do a transfer of responsibility which my wife approved t mobile saying we would now have the 3 lines they lied we ended up with two separate bills and they said because she could only get two when I told them that they themselves got her approval I was there when they asked her. I would not advise anyone to do business with them. They don't seek customer satisfaction just use deceitful practices to steal from people
After being with the company for 20 years (since they were VoiceStream), I had to close my account with TMobile. To start, it has the worst reception of any carrier in NJ. They make you buy a signal booster which marginally works. When they upgraded the service in the area not only did it NOT help my cell signal, it also caused problems on ALL my phones on the account. TMobile refused to help and I had to cancel service. Not only did they charge me full price for bad service, but they charged me two months AFTER I switched carriers. And then they charged me 300 dollars for the signal booster with a note saying I had 60 days to return it. WOW. I switched to Cricket wireless and have zero problems AND its cheaper!
I have NEVER seen a company who can truly care less about Customer Service and Satisfication... Due to the way I was treated when contacting customer service I will be cancelling both my accounts and make sure EVERYONE I know does too! I will also be filing a formal complaint with the BBB
These guys lie after they get your, service. Customer service will take money off your credit card when unauthorized. Youll have zero recourse and deal w people who yes you but do nothing and won't confirm in writing. Ultimately they change, stories if you. Ever get to a manager. A lot of bait and, switch and you. Can't nail them down. Stay away. Run. Better business bureau should be stepping in and catch these, guys. Please, take my word for it. Run as fast as you can.
T-Mobile is the biggest fraudulent cellular provider on the planet nothing but lies and rip offs just a big piece of $#*! customer service is under the rug a bunch of $#*! roaches hopefully you burn in hell you snakes
I switched to Cricket. They give me a deal $150 for 4 lines... YOU GUYS SUCKS! 5 lines almost $500.00 a month? I been with you guys over 5 years and spent furtune :(.
Don't forget over Huricane Irma we couldn't use our lines over 2 weeks!
Please, take me from the list I don't want to deal with you guys ever gain! I am telling all my friends to stay away from T mobile, don't want anybody else make a mistake as I did!
If you never have a need to ask a question or contact customer service, I'd give them a 4. But then all the carriers rate that. Plan on taking two days off from work if you need to call customer service. If you reach someone, it will be in the Philipines, in a room with dozens and dozens of other call agents, and no barriers between them. You can't hear the agent because of the deafening roar of the others. Do not believe when they promise to contact you back. Do not believe that the email address to management works. Do not believe if they say they will put you on with a supervisor.
Perhaps try the website. You will go in circles. Information on how to do something on your phone? Expect to log in at least 4 or 5 times... why? Expect to put in your phone information each time--why? And don't expect the information to be accurate.
I've had TM forward my calls to voicemail so I could not receive calls at all unless I decided to check in on my voicemail--not once, but three times. One time required me to spend a full day on the phone with them. They tried to tell me someone hacked my phone and forwarded it to an unknown number. Later I found out that unknown number was the one they use for their own voicemail.
Want a question answered? Need Help? You won't get it. I don't change because I am not certain the other companies are better, and I can be almost certain that I won't be able to get T-Mobile to stop billing me or release my line.
I have to say that T-Mobile's customer service deserves awards--one for one of the worst I have ever experienced in my life.
As for billing programs? If I buy three more phones my rates go down. It makes sense that the price per line would go down, but not the total.
And of course there are taxes. When you go to a store, do you pay extra for their Workers Comp taxes or real estate taxes? Do you get surcharged for their electricity bills or insurance policies? No... the company pays that out of their own profits. How do the cell companies get away with "passing on" their fees and taxes.
But my calls go through.
T Mobile is $#*!. Nothing but a big $#*! circle you have to go around. Can't add lines online, can't upgrade on online. Full of crap. The down payments for phones are ridiculous. Why would I put $600 down on a $700 phone. Crazy, f**king bananas. Do what I did, got to Verizon, pricey, but well worth it! Trust ME!
Can i put non i went to t-mobil store to buy a family plan they told me they closed my old account and open new one and i did not happen after 3 month a they give me 500 bill that i owe them for plan it already canceled this what they told me
After this i was already with them in new plan so they charge me extra money when i called asking why they keep telling me they change my plan without telling me they taking 50 a month made my bill went to 200 without asking or telling and if i want cancelled this plan i owe them almost 450 dollar so what ever i do i must keep paying them whatever
Bought TMobile in Florida then moved the Little Rock. Performance here is horrible. Trash latency, dropped calls, poor coverage. Looked at cell towers distribution and wow Verizon has TMobile out numbered about 6:1 in towers in this area. It is embarrassing if you ask me but I guess the population is too small for TMobile to care about Arkansas unlike Verizon. I hated Verizon before because of all the fees but now with one flat rate for unlimited internet LTE... no question Verizon owns Arkansas and TMobile ain't even trying to play catch-up
I went to my local T-Mobile store as I was considering changing cell companies and I got totally lied too. I connected three phones paid all of the fees and signed up for their unlimited plan and all I have gotten is dropped call after dropped call. I now have to go back to verizon, what a waste of time, energy and money. I wish people would just be honest, fortunately one of the tech people told be that they couldnt lie to me after seeing all of my dropped call and admitted that the coverage was average at best. After trying to get a refund, since my service sucked, they said they would credit me half of a month. Well, I would rather just make sure everyone knows what a rip off and the fact that their representatives flat out lied to me about their coverage in the state of CT. Horrible service and coverage. Don't believe all of the press about how good their network is, not worth it. You know that old saying, one happy customer may tell nobody, but one unhappy customer, will tell hundreds. I plan on telling everyone I know to never trust T-Mobile.
I have been loyal to t mobile since the first opened. I presently have 4 phone lines and I have paid full price for every phone... well they offered a buy one phone get one free... and they said that I couldn't take advantage of the offer unless I opened up another line! ----- why would I open up another line? So I can have 5 phones with crappie coverage! We put up with the poor coverage, so that we can be kicked to the curb!
I'm angry tmobile since because my tmobile bill very $#*!ing night $401.26 for my 3 line phones. Tmobile are dirty business damn it I don't happy about this. Because I am deaf that's not cool. My name is yocaira hernandez
Is the worse phone company ever I don't recommend them at all they charge you with fake bill and threat you to report to credit bureau if you don't pay
I have been with the company since 2008 and I they have changed for the worse. They use to care about their customers, but now they only care for their profits. I have had issues with Samsung phones twice on less than 6 months! To get a replacement is rare without shelling out another couple hundred dollars.
The service is poor and does not work in areas locally and when traveling. The Samsung phones are having problems but They do not notify customers or they run diagnostics that cause your phone crash then offer nothing but dishonesty and too concerned with placing blame then they tell you "you can always upgrade. Just pay $185 to get a phone today. " Sounds like a BIG SCAM TO ME!$! They find ways to get out of warranties, the so called insurance, and accountability of misinforming customers! I also asked for a superior, Igor, and he was so much worse than the reps! Condesending, arrogant... but they care about customers? Doesn't sound like it to me! I would never recommend this company to anyone! Save your money, time and effort for a company who cares about customer satisfaction!
The customer service was extremely incompetent. They continued to mess up at least six times in a few months, then deleted my bad review.
I did not receive any range booster and tmobile has issued charges for that. Worse thing is they did not sent me any bill/invoice or did not notify me with letter and directly sent it to collection. I have been calling them since July/2/2017 not yet resolved. When I spoke to the Customer service spoke to Anna (her emp # *******) she said they found the device in their wear house and we have cleared the charges. After couple of days they sent again to collection for the same and collection people are calling me to pay more money. So you cannot trust their customer care reps.
Interesting thing I found cases were filed against tmobile To FTC, here are some links:

My experience is too long to type but I will just say of you are thinking about switching to T-Mobil... DONT...
I got my newest phone at the store at 7164 Beverly Blvd. In Los Angeles. That is the only positive thing of the review I have. The reason I have not added any more stars is my recent experience there. I went there for their T-Mobile Tuesday deal. I have been there before and was able to get their free swag within 5 minutes or even less. This time, there was only one person to mind the store. He was busy with another customer. Since the customer and the customer service representative were both Jewish, as this is a predominately Jewish community, I was waiting there for my free swag for 10 minutes before the representative acknowledge my presence and said that he will get to me as soon as he can as he was getting the customer's iPad working. Why didn't he just ask me if he could assist me with the free swag and determine that what I was there for would only take a minute to complete the task? Those 10 minutes could have used to get closer to work. Since I am not Jewish just like his rhythm-less Jewish customer that will never get his own reality show, I guess I was not important enough for him to even say "Hi" to me as I entered the store. Gentiles, you have been warned.
THEY LIED TO ME ON AT LEAST 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS IN ORDER TO GET ME TO SWITCH TO THEIR SERVICE, INCLUDING SAYING THAT THERE WAS SERVICE IN MY AREA WHEN THERE WAS NOT! DO NOT USE T-MOBILE. I SWITCHED BACK TO VERIZON AND WILL PAY MORE BUT WILL RECEIVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CARE AND SERVICE EVERYWHERE I GO!
Answer: Take the cheapest, clunkiest, most useless data coverage you can imagine. Now imagine it not even working. You pay for something that is USELESS.
Answer: This is typical of t-mobile. It will not let me leave a review.
Answer: T-Mobile will let you keep your old number... IF IT IS AVAILABLE. I do not know the requirements or rules, but years ago, I was allowed to keep a number I had had for years past.
Answer: See, your other customers see the same thing. In plain words, you suck ass.
Answer: Better Business Bureau is the only way to force an american to talk to you
