T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

I has awakened to a disconnected cell line do to none payment. Billing new billing date on the 19th, disconnected on the 22nd.
On line it said pay $97.10 pass due. I paid it. After payment to restore is $197.28 to restore. I'm in a hardship during this pandemic but TMobile doesn't waive any fees and now are forcing a payments agreement that I cannot afford.

New expensive phone
August 20, 2020

I had a problem with it after 3 weeks. The tmobile store They could not do anything for me. I went to the store and they called the 1800 number for me to talk to customer service. Then they decided to replace the brand new phone with a refurbished phone. I had a 50 dollar screen protection. The manager could not give me the screen protection replacement. Called customer service same responce. If you get your phone from Sam's club you will save tons of money. If you go to Costco you will save tons of money. This profection plan between 15 and 20 dollars a month. You get the same plan from Costco for 80 dollars one time payment for the lifetime of the pbone. Equals 500 dollars from tmobile for 2 years. If your phone go bad costco return policy is 1 month. If you go to Walmart you buy all accessories half the price and you get the same equal service tomobile store provide so why pay extra. T-Mobile do not honor customer loyalty. Tmobile is a horrible company i can not wait to go to another company.
I wish I can give them zero star

Avoid at all costs
August 19, 2020

I was searching for a new provider and reached to T-Mobile. They required all kinds of things to set up an account. I was told I would get a refund if the service did not work. Learned from a friend that the service would not work in my area and so I reached back to cancel it before I even got started. Took forever to cancel, but finally they did refund my deposit. A month later I got an email that they had successfully ported my number. What? And I have to start over with my current provider and have been without a phone for five days. T-Mobile did nothing to help. Their supposed customer service is a joke. Avoid this company at all costs.

I recently just spoke to Giezel of T-Mobile customer support and she was extremely understanding and helpful! From checking my plan/rate to making sure I was content with the billing situation, she was a pleasure to speak with. T-Mobile has some of the best customer service representatives I've spoken with. Thank you so much!

I switched over to T-Mobile from ATT due to continuing increases of ATT service on May 6,2020. At that time I was told by the "Port-in Dept" that I would be able to keep my original number for my two phone lines and the watch paired to one of the phones. I was also told T-mobile would handle everything and cancel the existing service with ATT when the phones were transferred and the watch paired. What happened was initially my numbers were changed. Finally that was resolved. Now I find out my watch service was never stopped as I was told, even though T-mobile charged me for the watch service. So ATT has continued to charge me for a service that I was told by T-mobile was stopped. Now T mobile only response is I'm sorry, I don't know why the watch was never correctly "ported" But we cant do anything about the bill cause by their incompetence.

After 15 years, my relationship with t mobile is over. Yesterday I called in to upgrade my phone. I was told of an offer that I agreed with... but they would not mail me the new phone, I had to go to the mall in person to complete. As we are in the mist of a global pandemic, that seemed problematic. At the mall, after waiting in line with mask, I was told that was not a valid offer and would have to move to a new contract at a much higher cost. At home again was told not to worry, go back to the mall and have the manager call in to verify the deal and that there was a notation on the account to satisfy the manager. At the mall I was turned away again with the admonishment that " customer service will tell you anything to get you off the phone and in the store". After 2 visits to a Covid hot spot mall, I now need to self isolate from family for 14 days, as a family member has a compromised immune system do to cancer. T mobile has gone from cool to cruel'
I will now try a new plucky upstart company called Ting with fingers crossed.

This is absolutely unexaptable! I need a manager call me. My number is 5O3-951-1963

I have been with T Mobile, only for 3.5 weeks, and total incompetence with setting up my account.
T Mobile sent me a pin number that is not associated with my telephone number. The pin number was sent by text message based on my telephone number.
I tried, on and off, for eight days and several hours to download the two specific T mobile apps and the McAfee app specifically designed for T Mobile customers.
I received the same error message " the email is not assigned to this telephone number."
Six days ago, I sent the developer, of the McAfee app for T Mobile, an email. NO RESPONSE so far.
The T mobile store, three weeks ago, assigned my account to someone else because the clerk was not paying attention to the computer screen when entering a new customer into the system.
It took 4 days to clear up all the problems but now original or new problems are occuring.
I called to day to get support. Covid or not, I was on hold for thirty minutes then T Mobile disconnected the call.
I called back 5 minutes and the call was disconnected again, three times
When I finally got through all I was told my pin number was not valid for my telephone number.
Remember, when the store screwed up the accounts, the store did not send a new pin number so I cant get service without a pin number nor can I install three important Apps from T Mobile.
Oh how these millennials are so computer proficient!

T-Mobile has option to pay extra on phones bought through them so I paid off my phone in 8 months instead of the 24. They will not release contract even though it is paid completely off and they are still billing me for the phone which means I'm overpaying. Customer service rep and then the manager were no help after 1 hour and 35 minutes on phone with them. I paid my phone off early and was going to turn around and get the iPhone Pro Max but have since changed my mind and will wait till contract is over so I can change cell phone companies. Absolutely horrible customer service!

We ordered 2 T-Mobile phones in December that we were going to give our children for Christmas. As I looked around, I found Verizon had a better deal, so I called T-Mobile and gave them the opportunity to match the Verizon deal. They would not, so I requested the return information, and sent the phones back to T-Mobile using their label. I ended service with T-Mobile and switched to Verizon. In March I began receiving emails that I owed $1513. 99. I have called them at least 7 times. During the first 5 calls I was told the box was on the dock (it apparently sat there for 3 months). The only reason I got that far is because I kept the shipping receipt. During the next 2 calls they told me the phones were missing. They have the IMEI number. They can locate the phones is they are turned on. They can shut down the phones if they are turned on. THIS COMPANY LIES.

Honestly I thought I was making a great decision when switching to TMobile after their ads on TV but I was wrong supposed to have excellent coverage almost everywhere but when I really needed my phone it did not work not until I walked over a mile to get service. My mom and I switched over and got two phones from them for around $400 and we got the two lines and the third for FREE but it was not free and this is how we found out. I was tired of the weak service, dropped calls, the terrible customer service in stores and on the phone that we switched and imported our numbers to another carrier. Now at this time we never used the third line it had a number but never connected a phone to it and never made calls so we thought it was not active until we got a bill in the mail for over $500 dollars and nothing but excuses from T-Mobile because all they cared about was the money and how they can screw as many people as they can. If you want someone that has great service and is there for you when you have a problem then TMobile is not for you.

As a 13 year T Mobile user, I do not know what happened to their service and customer service?
They are advertising 5G service, that is not in ALL areas. Be advised.
Service for 4G has greatly declined! Am not even receiving 4G service now for the past few months, and I have been calling for several weeks to deal with it; only frustration. Today was the topper. Tech Support tells me I only need one bar, I do not need 4 bars or 4G, and Customer Service actually told me that I should be happy with the 3G I was receiving since I am getting WI-FI for "free, with assistance of their Cell Spot." I PAY for Wi -Fi Service and Data.
What is going on?

I bought a prepaid sim in LA with the promise it works nationwide.
It did not work in New York City.
When I inquired in an NYC shop the I got some lame excuse about improving the network.
The agent which was extremely rude refused to help me and told me I should complain at the shop in LA. She refused my request to talk to her supervisor.
