T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

I was excited about going back to T-Mobile after 23 years. But now I'm very disappointed with the plan I have. My former service provider provides the same service and better for much cheaper. And to add insult to injury this Revvl phone is the absolute worst! I have to call some one three times because getting thru, the calls will drop, and I hate this RTT on my phone. It's difficult to multitask and hang up after talking to someone. I tried to get another phone after having it not so long, they wanted me to buy an expensive phone. I'm going back to my former service provider.
I got a Samsung watch through promotion. The watch was free, just paid taxes, in exchange for 2 years of line service. I just found out recently I've been paying $12.50 a month For the last 15 months. That means I was not getting the promotional offer and I am paying $10 a month for the line. Through chat corresponded with a gentleman name Jason For over an hour. He was supposed to get back to me today, follow up in regards to the full refund of $187.50. Because last night he could not give it to me he stated it would be refunded $12.50 over 24 month. I do not want that I want my $187.50 refunded. We have bought phones through T-Mobile I purchase a watch through a promotion through T-Mobile we have four lines through T-Mobile. My family has been with T-Mobile not just under my name but under other family numbers names for our family and a hole has been with T-Mobile for years and years. We deserve to be compensated back the $187.50 one time refund not allotted over many months. Btw Jason did not follow up. And to top it off I just found out I over paid for 2 promotional phones. Looks like $300. The monthly payments proceeded over 2yrs
Purchase new phone, new line and made several attempts to return in person and phone with "cust. Care". 14 day in store purchase buyers remorse will not exclude holidays, or anything. They NEVER attempted to Help in any way on day 14, 15, 16, 17! On hold for ever, phone reps just say "our hands are tied" store says "our hands are tied". Right: but to screw over a new customer it is all hands on deck! Drop your line, ok Pay full price for the phone you do not need. A discount on a phone that you Don't need or want? Nope, all they can do is Upgrade + pay for half of the phone you do not need/want. Wow. They make you use your email to register phone so they can legally cover their asses by sending you documents not easily accessible during the sale. Only After the sale! Legally binding you yo get kicked in the you know what. Garbage service 100%
Negative 5 should be an option for these reviews. About 21 years ago, I had T-Mobile. My phone didn't have service in my own apartment, in the middle of my state's capital city of almost a million people. I switched to Sprint and had many years of great service and coverage. I had cell service everywhere, even backpacking in the mountains. Then, T-Mobile bought Sprint and ruined it. Now, my cell service is as bad as it was 21 years ago. Everything T-Mobile says in its advertising is a lie. It is a fraudulent corporation. If T-Mobile offered to give me a free IPhone and an IMac to boot, I still wouldn't sign up with this despicable company. I doubt I will get better coverage with any other company. The quality of everything is collapsing. But, as soon as I can, I will switch to a different carrier, even if it is out of nothing but anger at this fraud of a company.
The worst mobile service ever. They always play a word game. Never tell you openly whole truth about plans and promotions. They always $#*! up. Whole waste of time both in store and over call. Never use it.
I signed up with to get service for my business May 2023. The Business Manager for the Clearwater FL area process the order and I guess he was not aware of our color. My son visit a St. Petersburg location to pick up a watch that was not available at Costco. They gave such a hard time even after showing ID'S.
One week later tMobile canceled our services and requested additional proof that we do owned the business. I sent, my tax ID, bank statement, my driver's license and incorporated docs. After speaking with several individuals and provided all that they requested, still said the account was flagged for possible fraud.
They said they want to speak to my bank manager. This was so offensive and insulting. This only happen because we are Black and I cannot believe that in 2023 Americans still cannot accept that black people can be legit!
Do not do any business with T- Mobile if you are a minority. They must show respect if you are spending your money with them.
Justin, the Clearwater manager was the worst. I called him more than 10 times and he did not return any of my calls. It seems he was the person who flag the account as fraudulent! He was spineless and unprofessional to say the least!
Later that night I returned their equipment to a store and Justin the Racist Manager was texting the clerk receiving the phones.
He still has not responded to any of my calls to find out what really changes since he opened the account. Extremely poor customer service.
These people are rip off. Try stealing your money then say you in contract. Let sales people run up and they don't care, internet suxks and service. Watch your bill they pit everything under sun to charge more. Do not get or you will regret everything about them. No customer service or service stores only get on internet. Equally don't work and to much trouble to help. Didn't even get my service for about a month that I got.
The service does not work great you have to drive 10 minutes down the road just to make call and I'm getting charged monthly for not even having signal most of the time and T-Mobile won't help resolve this issue I will difinitly not be going back to them for phone or service
I signed up for T-Mobile at the recommendation of a Verizon rep in Phoenix in late April 2022. We were relocating to Mississippi and he said Verizon's coverage is not good in States. The first phone I chose was a Samsung but by August 2022 I realized it was not syncing with my google apps which I rely on heavily to run my business. By May 2023 I had been lied too so many times I couldn't count. First lie was I would receive a free upgrade to switch back to an IPhone. That locked me into a 24-month plan on a phone with zero hotspot and never more than 1 bar in LTE or 5G mode. Today I'm switching to AT&T but will be locked into a 36-month contract because I still owe $771 on my I-Phone purchased from T-Mobile. The other lies relate to a monthly reporting when I called in to complain that "a cell tower in my area is under repair". Shame on me believing them for 14 months.
I had one of their signal booster Because my service was horrible. At my house. I try to transfer my friends account From his name to mine. I tried for 4 months they couldn't do it. I had to cancel that account open new one transfer all my numbers to the new account. They didn't tell me anything about the T-Mobile signal booster. After 5 months I received the bill. For $293.91. If I call the customer service they Email UPS labels I shipped The signal booster on 4-24-2023. Call them and gave them the tracking number. Called again? After. A? Week. Called again after 1 weeks. They told me that as soon as it hits the warehouse the charges will be cleared. They promised me that they won't charge me cause they put a note on the account. On May 23rd they charged my bank $293.91 Call the customer service. They promised that they will give me a refund within 72 hours. Waited. One week called them back they escalated my issue and they said you will get your money within 24 hours. Call back after 5 days. They told me sorry you returned the device late because your account is closed. We can't give you money back. What a rip off They just robbed me for that money. Even though I'm still their customer? Paying them 5 lines every month. I don't recommend this company to anyone.
Called before I went down to the store about home internet, he said come down and ask for Luis who was already for us. Gave us equipment & instructions, no crazy sales pitch just try it for 2 weeks if you like it cool! Love him! I literally was at the stoplight longer than I was at the store which I really appreciate! Thank you Luis, your the best!
Make sure you read and know what your getting I thought I was on a pre-paid account and it was on post paid and I canceled my service cause it wasn't very good where I live and they took money from me after I canceled my service threw them so make sure you ask questions and know what you are getting cause they will pull out of your bank account
I switched from Verizon to save money and I regret it every time my service doesn't work, can't check voicemail, and can't make calls even though I'm right in town. I used their "keep & switch" option when I switched providers which they said would pay the $800 left on my Verizon contract and that I should receive it in 15 days. It should be called the "bait & switch" because it took over 4 months to finally get the reimbursement to pay off Verizon. They kept saying it went through and it never did. I think they count on people giving up because it took so many hours of customer service chats and calls to get them to fix the problem. Screw T-Mobile! Go anywhere else!
I returned a phone under warranty for replacement in March 2023 which was received but the good ends there.T mobile proceeded to take $478 from the account that I use for autopay for my service saying that they couldn't confirm receipt of the phone on their end. They did this with out notification causing 4 other transactions with other bill pay to overdraw resulting in nsf charges of $80 to my bank. After several calls I got customer service to admit that they actually did have the phone and I wanted the money they stole from me back in refund to the same account. I was lied to repeatedly and promised that the issue was being resolved and not to worry. 3 weeks later still no refund.so I called again and was again lied to repeatedly now I was informed that the claim was never initiated but they would fix that issue and resubmit and to wait 7-10 more days...still no refund. I call again now skipping over support directly to supervisor Jei ( real name.who knows) and issued an interaction number promised that she would handle the problem and get refund processed.even promised to call and follow up. Never heard from anyone and no refund. So I called again with all the same repeated lies and promises and apologies to no avail and this supervisor Marvin guaranteed results and follow up it's been 2 weeks and still no refund or follow up...outright thievery and liars abound in support in this company not to mention the accents of the support team make understanding their english was hell and had to continually ask them to speak slower and repeat that please. In a nut shell they suck and don't give a damn. Run from this company as this can't be sustainable as a business. My next call is to NC Attorney General and then to chanel 5 trouble shooter.
T mobile is the worst phone carrier, they lie to you over the phone, they got me to change my plan to a higher plan at a supposedly discounted rate, but when I got my bill it was $185 instead of the $115 they quoted me over the phone. When I called customer service I was on the phone for hours and they kept transferring me all over the place. I've been with them for years but I think it's time to finally move on!
T-mobile continue charging me when I canceled my service 4 months ago! I called, went to the store, and called customer service to refund my money but they haven't refunded it so I disputed their charge to my bank and later on they gave me a bill of all my disputed charges including a credit collector. Do not use their service because it sucks anyway. I've been a customer for 3 years and this is what I get?! Bad business practices!
They tock $697 from me and never paid me back after i returned my broken phone, and i did before the expiration day.
My wife and I journeyed out in our Rv and decided we needed a Wi-Fi hotspot so we popped into the T-Mobile in Roswell(excellent service). We got our device and paid our first month of no contract service. It worked pretty good in Roswell area but not really anywhere else. We kept the service going tho in case we needed it. $50/month autopay.
We moved to a new place in February and decided we didn't need this service anymore and since we weren't under contract we canceled 2/1/2023. Here it is 6/5/2023 and I get a bill in the mail for $50. Paper bill? So I checked…. I been paying these people all this money since canceling in 2/1/2023. Then they tried to argue it was never closed and they were winning until I found the chat transcript and showed it to them. Then and only then could I speak to someone who could actually approve a refund and then he tried to short me. I had to go explain how he was mistaken and I was deserved and demanded every cent paid since 2/1/2023. Their reasoning, "We stopped the service, but you never asked us to stop the autopay." "Sir, if we refund everything then you will be in default and reported to credit agencies." An hour and twenty minutes later and I am guaranteed a refund in the next few days.Yet to be seen.
Y'all be careful with TMobile. They like to draft money from your bank account that's NOT authorized after you close your account and clear it with them 4 months later. When you call they say they will escalate the refund and have it in 1-3 days, but never get it back.
Agent told me a choose between a IPhone or a Samsung would be on Tmobile if O decided to go with the internet service. I only called to get the internet service and decided to go with the cellphone. Went to the store with my Sims card that they sent me and the lady at the store said I would have to pay $500-700 for a IPhone. I told her what the lady told me over the phone and the lady said at the store, that wasn't true. I drove 30-45 minutes to the store and waited 45-50 for someone at the store to tell me I was basically lied too. My initial call was for the internet not the phone so I feel my whole entire day was wasted and I was humiliated in front of others at the store.
Answer: Take the cheapest, clunkiest, most useless data coverage you can imagine. Now imagine it not even working. You pay for something that is USELESS.
Answer: This is typical of t-mobile. It will not let me leave a review.
Answer: T-Mobile will let you keep your old number... IF IT IS AVAILABLE. I do not know the requirements or rules, but years ago, I was allowed to keep a number I had had for years past.
Answer: See, your other customers see the same thing. In plain words, you suck ass.
Answer: Better Business Bureau is the only way to force an american to talk to you
