Ordered acoustic foam. Sweetwater took my money. Sweetwater then told me to call them for shipping. I called Sweetwater and they said they were out of stock, after taking my money. Lousy ethics; lousy customer service. Just lousy overall!
I was interested in a certain model guitar and noticed a demo available at a lower price, so I put it on my wishlist. Ben responded in an email that if he could be of any help, just let him know. I told him that I was very interested in this guitar, but I needed to come up with the funds (which might take me some time). He came back with a price that I could not tune down. The shipping was quick as well. So, I am very pleased and satisfied with Sweetwater!

Their customer service is just outstanding, and I have to give a big shout out to my rep, Brenton Evans, who is super knowledgeable and professional, i'd be remiss if I didn't mention Henry as well. Sweetwater is a joke. Candy and smiling faces of strangers on flyers and brochures doesn't stop you from consistently having inaccurate inventory online, an annoying post order process that consists of a phone call frankensteining your very simple, itemized order, multiple emails for ONE order after its been split into multiple pieces, and to top it off garbage quality, broken equipment, smashed cymbals, ripped heads, loose wires, wrong items, like I'm ordering random equipment from a garage sale, and an insane FULL of hassle worthless exchange policy. I call to file a complaint and get it sorted, and I don't get a voicemail or an email in return.
STAY AWAY FROM SWEETWATER AND ORDER FROM AMAZON. OR just go to Tama, Sabian, Ibanez, or whatever brand you like and buy directly from them. This company wont be mailing you free candy and brochures for long. I'm a drummer of 26 years, this is the worst I've ever seen multiple fulfillments later. It's always a hassle. Stay away.
I have ordered several times from Sweetwater over the last few years. They have been excellent every time. My customer support technician, Dave Brow, gives me a call every time I place an order online and lets me know approximately when it will arrive and asks if I have any issues with the equipment or anything else. I absolutely love the customer service! This level of customer support is unheard of these days. Keep up the amazing job y'all! I will be ordering again soon!
They took a personal interest in my needs. Called just to verify address, and shipped the same day I ordered. The equipment is perfect also.
This company is fake. Zero knowledge with zero effort to help. Go somewhere else to have your questions answered bc you will not get an answer from these money hungry fakes.
From start to finish I have nothing but good things to say about this company. The website was easy to navigate, the prices are reasonable and best of all my grandson loves his new drumsticks. And the turnaround time was above expectations. I had the drumsticks within two days so I did not have to worry about not having them for my grandson's birthday. I will be shopping here again.
I've purchased multiple things from Sweetwater from guitars, to keyboards, to guitar cases. They are very intentional in making sure you have exactly what you need. Alex Berglund, my sales rep, has been extremely helpful and responsive. Sweetwater goes out of their way to be personable with every client they have. No robots, no automated responses, just real people who are passionate about music and helping others. This puts them far above any guitar center or music store. A big organization with a small shop heart. Will continue to be a customer for a long time.
Been dealing with Sweetwater on and off for about 5 years now and always had a good experience with Jon. Resentedly I needed some help with a guitar that I was looking to upgrade, mind you a guitar that had nothing to do with Sweetwater. Explained my issues to my sales engineer and the very next day he had answers for me. Jon also gave me alternatives to my guitar issues.

I used to order from full compass for our church worship and sound needs. They didn't have a product I needed once so I used Sweetwater instead and my sales engineer, Corey, has made me a Sweetwater customer! He asks me what I need the equipment for then steers me toward what would best serve my needs and it is often less expensive than what I originally thought I needed. Once I sent him the product number for a wireless mic system I wanted to order not expecting anything but an "I'll put your order in and charge your card on file" email. Instead my phone rang and he told me he had checked the frequencies available where I live and I needed a different frequency range. He emailed me product info for the same system but with the frequencies I needed. If I had ordered somewhere else, I may have found it cheaper but would have had a product that wouldn't work and I may never have known why. Today Corey diagnosed a problem I have been having with one of our wireless systems. I thought it was broken and needed replaced. Instead he spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me educating me on wireless setups. This will be extremely helpful when our church moves into our new building and has larger sound needs.
I was extremely satisfied with the service and attention I received from the sales engineer, John Tonello. I've purchased a lot of equipment over the years from a number of different retailers. I've never had a more pleasant transaction.
For the amount you spend you would think there would be a better way to expedite shipping but it seems the process is very slow. The website has some false timer telling you to order now and get it by whenever. So you feel spurred to buy only for the timer to be arbitrary. After purchase just ship the product. FedEx still hasn't received my package and it's the day the timer said I should be getting my guitar. Very disappointed
I like buying from small and medium American businesses they have good products, they call you, the shipping is fast and the prices are competitive.
I ordered 2 from heads for my husband. I never in a million years expected the owners to call personally and ask if everything went well and if I needed anything else! This company is amazing and very customer oriented, even delivered them with a little bag of candy that was just a little extra.
Searched all over the web for a good deal on some above average cymbals…marketplace, Craigslist, eBay and no real good deals anywhere. Found a demo 7 piece Rock pack at Sweetwater for an awesome price. Spoke directly with sales and they worked with me to get an even better deal delivered. Cymbals look like brand new at an unbelievable price. Very happy with my purchase at Sweetwater!
I only made a small order, however I got a personal phone call letting me know when it shipped. I ordered it 4 days before Christmas and it arrived christmas eve. I then received another call to confirm I received the items and was satisfied.
Bonus: tiny bag of candy and a thank you note was included. If I ever need ANYTHING even remotely musical... I'm coming to sweetwater. Thank you
Have been a customer since at least 2016 or earlier. Made a large order and 3 items were listed on the site as "in-stock very soon", so I figured I had 6 weeks to wait, no big deal. 4 weeks go by, I send in an email asking for an ETA. Was told "late December/early January". Early January gets here, I send in an email. No response. I call Support to find out. Support then tells me that 2 of my 3 items were another month to 2 months out. The lack of warning or communication and the fact I had to be on the phone with Support for 45 minutes already frustrated me. They transferred me to another agent. This CS agent tells me they will credit my account instead of give me a direct refund after I ask to just cancel the items and return refund to the card I paid with. I say I need it on my card and let me them know I was charged the full amount and there was no "credit" issued to my account. They try to tell me I was not charged full amount and I was credited. The proof was in my AMEX statement. I told them this and the agent literally screamed at me and berated me for disagreeing. When I asked to speak to someone high up in management, they then screamed at me, "It won't do you any good. They're not going to do anything." After screaming and berating me some more, they finally transferred me to a very kind CS Manager that confirmed I was correct about my frustration and refund I was supposed to get. From there, I was issued a refund and an apology. I've spent a lot of money with Sweetwater over the years, it'll be a hard choice for me to do business with them again. Gave an extra star for the past good service, but this interaction has left me with a bad taste. Review your CS agents phone calls, and teach them patience and how to respectfully talk to people without raising their voice or personally attacking them. Sweetwater was in the wrong from the beginning here, still in disbelief how this situation was initially handled.
Update: The Customer Service Manager called me directly the next day to confirm with me that they listened to my phone call in question. They apologized profusely and even sent me a gift card, which they did not have to do. That went a long way with me.
Well, before my purchase, I read several reviews. I can't agree more. Very pleasant and easy experience. Jeff Weinstein was nothing but a gentleman and awesome through the process even emailing me when my guitar was shipped, etc. just a great experience with Sweetwater and would definitely give them my business again. By the way, my guitar is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you Jeff!
