Andrew Plassman - My Sales Engineer is probably the most knowledged musician I have had the experience of working with in my entire 35 years as a musician. A HUGE THANKS to Andrew Plassman for his patience and true intentions of helping me " The Customer " make the correct choices do to his listening, and all around knowledge of gear in general.
The entire transaction was only about "what I need', not what he could " SELL ME " He listened, asked questions and gained my trust to ensure that i would make the right choices in my purchases and Im grateful to have found him as my sales engineer.
If you are in the market to purchase musical gear I highly recommend SW, and I sure hope you get the pleasure of allowing Andrew to assist you in your quest

I purchased a snare drum online through their website $900 the website said that they would charge my Sweetwater card $36 a month for 24 months I have done the same with American Musical Supply and have never had a problem as American Musical Supply always charges me per month after waiting all day for them to ship the snare drum I get a call from Sweetwater telling me I'm sorry your card did not go through as the drum is $900 and your sweet card is only $500 limit I told him that it was supposed to be charged $36 a month for 24 months he said no we charge the entire amount on your card very deceptive no where on the site does it say that I will never do business with Sweetwater in my lifetime too many other places that are better
I have purchased well over 10 items from these guys through the years, several over $1,000, and each time, they consistently get it to me fast, the product works and someone always contacts me to check on the order and say thanks! How do you improve on that service? I don't know... I do know I don't get that type of service from Guitar Center...
I ordered a synth from them that is fairly popular (and expensive, sits around $900-1000), and was told that it was on backorder. That's fine, I figured this was a possibility. But then a few weeks passes, no information on it. I send an email and they tell me it will be another week or two. A few weeks passes, still nothing. I send another one they tell me that it's looking closer to a month.
It's fine that the item has taken nearly two months to get here, I understand that they can't wish this item into their warehouse. But I really would have liked them to just have followup emails every couple of weeks if an item is on backorder just to let me know that they care that I am doing business with them. Because I've always had to ask if there were any updates, I'm giving them two stars.
I have purchased a number of items from them and I highly recommend that you check them out. Their advise is based on real knowledge of the products they sell, their shipping is free & fast and they follow up to insure that you are pleased with everything.
The whole process from start to finish was a pleasant experience. The customer service representatives are extremely helpful and promptly communicate if there is any problem or delay with the shipment(s)
I have been using sweetwater for many years and will always go to them for my music needs. They are extremely personable and if you ever have a question it is easy to get a hold of a rep. The company has what is best for the customer in mind and will not try to push you into an unnecessary or unwanted purchase. Purchases are shipped extremely fast with reasonable rates on anything you buy and they prioritize every purchase whether you pay 10 dollars or a 1000 dollars the will take care of you. I will recommend them above anything else out there.

It's awesome to shop with sweetwater; I haven't received my gear yet, but the service I have been receiving from my personal sales Engineer (Keith) is extremely helpful. Always, just after less than an hour I receive email that my Product is already on its way... that only is interesting. Technically, I am newbie to recording world and I have been struggling to choose among thousand alternatives of gears available today, but Keith helped me suggest some great gear that would fit my needs. Living far away from USA was't a barrier for me, since this is the second time purchase, I can confidently shop and receive my equipment as expected. Shopping with Sweetwater is Sweet. I will shop again!.
It's great to shop at Sweetwater. Even if it has been months since my last purchase as soon as the next day following my online order petition I get a call from my personal representative to thank me, tell me the order is on its way, and reassure me that he's there for any trouble shooting or technical support issue. My personal sound engineer (Adam Cesarz) also calls me from time to time to see how I'm doing with my new gear and check in to see if I need anything else. The order fulfillment always arrives promptly, in excellent condition, and accompanied by candy. In these day and age of poor customer service everywhere I think a company like Sweetwater deserves to be recognized.
Sweetwater is one of the best companies that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Their customer service is the best hands down. These guys have such a comprehensive knowledge of the products they sale and are very helpful when it comes to purchasing anything music related. If you have a problem, they fix it. No ifs, ands, or buts.
These guys are with you every step of the way and not in a creepy stalker-ish way, haha... but seriously this is the reason to buy from Sweetwater. They care.

2nd purchase in a year. Haven't had a negative experience to speak of, unlike other music retailers that will go unmentioned, but one of them has verifiable financial issues, not rumors. Very good selection, sales without gimmicks and a no-charge, 2 yr warranty.
But don't take my word for it. Or the word of someone who has had (numerous?), bad experiences. Personally, after one truly bad experience, I wouldn't go back.
