Swappa.com is really easy to use the site is extremely easy to navigate as well there's a lot more profit to be made versus selling at eBay and Amazon can't thank swappa enough for being here for us.

When I know exactly what I want to buy, Swappa is helpful because they'll send alerts that a device with the exact color, GB of storage, etc., that I want has just gone on sale. The process of actually buying is fairly straightforward, but the site and app do have some bugs. Also, like any time you are buying from strangers over the Internet you have to be careful that they have a good reputation etc. But so far, all the sellers I've bought from have been really good about accurately describing the devices they're selling, including any accessories they're bundling in. Swappa is much better than say eBay about the clarity of item listings because their staff reviews each one. I've bought 3 things from the site so far and am very happy with the outcome each time. Finally, prices for most things seem a little lower than on eBay, and it's really easy to negotiate with sellers on price.

They advertise "Safe, friendly marketplace," but my one and only experience with them was a nightmare. I purchased a phone secondhand after reading mostly positive reviews online. I received a broken phone. I thought it would be an easy process to return and get my money back. It was anything but.

After the seller accused me of lying and breaking the phone, Swappa "Help" (if you can call them that) simply said we don't handle returns. Contact Paypal. I'm still awaiting refund from Paypal, after Swappa washed its hands clean of any responsibility. I have still not received the $10 refund Swappa charged.
Swappa public relations will soon respond to this complaint with "Our support team is available to guide you through that process. We try to make this process clear to all users before they buy or sell a device." That's a fancy way of saying what they told me: "Contact Paypal. We do not deal with refunds." That's right -- they do absolutely nothing except refer you to a different company. There is no phone number to call customer service at Swappa. They don't want to hear your complaints. They just want to get your transaction fees. There is no concern whatsoever from Swappa about buyer or seller.

I have purchased many electronic devices from Ebay sellers and never had any experience similar to Swappa's swamp. Stay FAR away from Swappa.

I sold a phone and the person filed a claim against me with PayPal using lies that my phone had an unpaid balance to AT&T. Now, they get to keep my phone and I'm out the money. Swappa won't do a thing in these cases. They just let their sellers get defrauded. It is complete rubbish! DO NOT sell on Swappa or you will be defrauded eventually. I used them a few times without problem. Now, the scammers are aware of this marketplace and Swappa won't even interface with PayPal to help at all. What a joke!

I posted a Nest thermostat for sale on Swappa and was amazed at how quickly it found a buyer at a price that seemed fair. The directions Swappa provides about how to process the sale, etc. were very clear the buyer received it in just a couple of days. But the buyer then hemmed and hawed, pretending the thermostat might not be working, etc. It then took a total of three months for the transaction to be fully completed! So if you decide to use it, be aware of the limitations. The one-star reviews here seem just as true to me as the five-star ones.
