Sold tickets on stub hub. Had trouble uploading, no customer service to help. When finally the buyer reached out they called me and was extremely rude. I asked several questions to have help making my tickets accessible to buyer and the answer was never received. The person on the other end was definitely reading from a script and would not answer my question. Received another email to upload tickets that they state they never received even though they sent me emails stating sale finale. When I logged into my stub hub account I was immediate able to see the tickets i uploaded previously. Will never use this company again, looks like I should have looked at reviews first. Everyone gets crappy service.
I sold tickets on 4 January 2020 to an Elton John concert, dinner & show, for 31 January 2020.
The buyer had paid for the tickets before I was asked to dispatch them.
I dispatched the tickets to the buyer promptly the next day.
The concert was held as scheduled and the buyer did attend. I know this as I had tickets for myself also and checked that the buyer was there.
The concert finished about 30mins early due to rain, after about 100 minutes.
The promoters, without any obligation or requirement to do so, have offered free admission to other concerts to all ticket holders.
StubHub's payment policy is that they will pay me within 15 days, on the 2nd or 4th Mondays after the event.
On that basis, my payment was due on Monday 10 February.
It is now 17 February, I have not received payment, instead I'm getting emails saying they are looking into it and that their specialized agents will contact me, but no one from the specialized department has yet contacted me.
I will never use StubHub again for buying or selling tickets.
Bought tickets to a high profile basketball game only to show up to the game and find fans in my seat. Stubhub offered graciously to refund my money via the Fan Protect Guarantee, which was expected as I couldn't sit in the seat I legitimately purchased. Next Stubhub offered me a $117 credit on a future sale. I expressed to Stubhub as customer that both sells and buys close to $10K in tickets annually, this $117 credit was low and ridiculous, especially given I had paid over $1K to travel to the game. Customer Service at Stubhub sucks and I will gladly be taking my business elsewhere.
There is no customer service phone number or email anywhere in the site you can find, so their guarantee is worthless. I never could access my tickets and when I tried to log in it always said my password was wrong. You request a new password and it takes 1 hr for it to send and when you get in your tickets are no where to be found and your money is gone. BUYER BEWARE PRETTY NANE TERRIBLE SERVICE...
They sell tickets for events that have not officially went on sale along with the seats for which there is no guarantee you will actually get. THATS BAD BUSINESS!
One of the four tickets I purchased was for a game that already happened two nights ago! Stubhub offered me a 25% off coupon! Had to argue for a half an hour and finally ask for a manager to get my money back for a ticket that didn't even exist. They promise a 100% satisfaction guaranteed on their website. What a joke!
An employee of mine was thrilled when I old him I would buy him a tticket to the Daytona 500. I let him pick out the ticket and orded it. I got the ticket, gave it to my employee, he was thrilled. Three days after I gave the ticket as a gift to my employee, Stub hub calls me and says the ticket is no good!. I said what do you mean " I am holding the Daytona 500 ticket in my hand and the letter from Stubhub guaranteeing satisfaction." They tell me some kind of story that the seller had done something wrong and they were invalidating my ticket! I said again I'm holding the ticket and they said sorry it is no good now. I said so you are punishing me not the seller and all they could say was sorry. No help at all just sorry. Do not use if they can invalidate a ticket in your hand anytime they want why would anyone trust them.
If I could give a 0 stars I would. We called to purchase two tickets for an event in San Francisco. We were told that they do not allow debit or credit card numbers over the phone but instead we have to purchase ebay gift cards for the amount of the ticket. So once we did that we contacted the specific seller back he took the $400.00 and gave us a ticket number. Then he said we had to go purchase another $400.00 of ebay cards to activate the tickets but that it would be refunded to us with-in 5-7 minutes. This sounded to much like a scam so we requested our money back. The seller told us it would take 75 to 80 business days to refund our original purchase amount yet it would only take 5-7 minutes to refund the second amount. We asked to talk to a supervisor and after a few minutes the same individual came back on claiming to be a supervisor. Now the story was that tickets are not refundable. We never received any tickets. The "supervisor" then hung up on us. They also blocked our phone number so we cannot call them back to start a dispute. No money and no tickets. Stay away from these scammers.
Do not buy from this site, they gave two tickets junior while I paid for adults. The game was for Arsenal vs Manchester United, 1st January 2020. I had flown thousands miles away only to get humilated because we are disallowed from entering the stadium.
Sending them so many notes, and different people respond without solution, asking me to send pictures of the tickets, which I could not do because the day after I sent it to the advised address in Birmingham via post. But I sent them Arsenal letter which is legitimate but still too many hassle and wishy washy. Unprofessional!
I live in L. A, USA I bought 2 tickets for the Wolves vs Aston Villa game (Wolverhampton, U. K) November 10th, 2019.
At the ground my ticket beeped red, IT WAS FAKE!
It took me 6 weeks to get my money back from StubHub, with no apology... on the day I had to buy a replacement ticket away from my friend for full price.
DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS STUBHUB!
2 days before game after flying 2000 miles. Paid for hotel and renal car they claim to have made a mistake and the tickets are not good. Scam, crooks two children ask there only gift to attend a patriots game. Wasted. Disappointed. So angry I could punch this owner. Do not buy from this company.
They sent the wrong tickets. Called and complained. They assured us correct tickets would be sent within 2 hours. No tickets. Missed the symphony. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
I bought tickets for a certain section but when they sent the tickets it was a totally different section. I called to get answers and was told the new section was an upgrade and the seller would give me $150 to trade them. For this particular show these seats were not an upgrade in my opinion so i said no. The solution was putting me in a side section which was also not near as good then the seller refused to give me a discount. I called again because the tickets i now have are actually half the cost of my original section so i wanted the discount and was refused. It was total bs and i will not use stubhub ever again
I only used StubHub once to buy a pair of ACC basketball championship tickets that were completely sold out. Our college team made it to the final four and I was very happy that I was able to get tickets for my husband and myself (both attended the same college). This was back in 2016, but I ran across my old ticket when I was cleaning out my room today so I wanted to post a nice review here since I had a good experience with StubHub.
Yes, I paid way too much, more than the ticketed price, but I knew StubHub was a reseller unlike some other deceptive reseller websites that exist now a days. I had a horrible experience at another reseller website recently, I am old and don't pay attention to fine prints on the websites as much as I used to so I didn't realize that I was on a reseller website until I had already purchased the tickets. They had tiny print at the very top of the screen where it stated that they were resellers, but I was too concerned about getting the tickets before they would sell out that I didn't even notice the verbiage. My eyes were focused in the center of the screen where they advertised being "100% Guarantee" and "Instant download". Unfortunately, they wouldn't cancel my order even though I called them within minutes of submitting the online order and explained to them that I made a mistake and didn't realize that I was paying 3x the normal price. They said there is No Refund Policy. I feel like I was scammed because the tickets that I purchased were not even available for sale to public yet so they could have refunded my money. I googled and Ticket Masters will start selling them to public this week, Monday as presale and Friday to general public. So very disappointing.
Stub Hub is absolutely terrible. Purchase at your own risk. I had a group of friends traveling from around the country to NYC to see a Broadway show. I purchased eight tickets. The tickets were never sent. I called eight times and was assured they would be delivered before the show date or would receive equal or better tickets in exchange. I called customer service eight times and was assured that the tickets would arrive on time. The night before the performance, after talking with customer service once again, they emailed the tickets... except on closer examination, the tickets were for a performance on the entirely wrong night. When I called back they told me they were sorry but the show was sold out and there were no tickets available for the night I had purchased. This was an absolute nightmare!
WARNING! This company is Criminal and will steal your money!
I paid 283.00 for 2x tickets and they charged me 43.00 just as a fee!
Then sent me 2x 55 tickets ( standing) instead.
When I contacted them they said that "It was not our problem. Contact the venue"!
Applied for my money back through Paypal and got a refund. No comms from them at all.
Disgusting Company, should be shut down!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Just bought tickets for the first time through Stubhub. Absolute nightmare. Trying to "extract" the tickets proved to be almost impossible. First, you have to figure out how to log on to stubhub. You will assume you already have an account, since they ask you to log in. Try a hundred times, then see a little tiny prompt at the bottom for "no account?" Arrrg. Then, it will ask for some code that you have to go through all your old emails to find. Then, if you get really, really lucky and make it this far, it will say your tickets are "ready for transfer." Oooookaaay... so how the hell do I do that? No info. Nice. Finally found AN ACTUAL PHONE NUMBER for stuhub. It is *******482. The person at Stubhub actually admitted it is impossible to navigate through this confusing process, even if you work at Stubhub! Okay. So, what I had to do THEN was see if I got an email over the last few weeks (!) from some seller of the tickets. I searched using "transfer" and discovered I got an email from Ticketmaster. So, I need to crack into Ticketmaster now. This entailed setting up an account, getting a verification email and verification text. And allegedly my damn tickets are on that site somewhere. This was an absolutely horrible experience. Stubhub, you suck!
My tickets were never posted on the StubHubs site, there was not a text telling or email letting me know me that I had to go through another website to get my tickets. Had to call them four times because only one had a scalable barcode. Do you have any idea how inconvenient this was standing outside of a stadium having to deal with this AFTER I spoke to them a repeated number of times. We will never use these guys again. Had better luck with SeatGeek.
Stub Hub. You better know what you're doing before selling your tickets through them. A few weeks ago I decided to put two tickets up for sale- NY Giants vs Dallas. Always a good game with plenty of folks in secondary market willing to pay good money for tickets. Mine were on the 35 yard line, 20th row. Great seats. When I submitted my tickets with a sale price of $600 each (They're $190 face), I got an email from Stub Hub, telling me that the price was too high since others were listed at $320 each. I agreed and reduced the price to $320-$00 range. Within a week Stubhub emailed congratulating me on selling my tickets for $360 each. Then I see that Stub hub took 15% of my sale price for their services or $108. In none of the Stub Hub website does it say how much they will charge me for selling my tickets. And then of course they will charge the buyer "handling fees" so Stub Hub cleans up on both ends. What really pissed me off was that i went to another ticket selling website and found tickets for sale to the same game I sold my tickets to, listed for $1,200! I understand they may not sell at that price but what I do know is that Stub Hub's goal is to sell your tickets, no matter how low they end up getting. This way, they collect their fee w/o risk of not selling them or me finding a better buyer. I've learned my lesson. Stick to the price you feel the market will bear. And stick it to Stub Hub.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
StubHub is a secondary marketplace for the buying and selling of concert tickets, sports tickets, theater tickets and just about any other kind of live event ticket you can imagine. StubHub is based in San Francisco and is owned by eBay.
