I purchased tickets in January 202 for some specific events on specific dates. The events were cancelled due to the pandemic, but StubHub refuses to refund my money. The have given me coupons which are worthless as those events were cancelled. I had even sold some tickets before the event was cancelled. When the event was cancelled the buyer got their money back and the money I got was rescinded.
StubHub has ripped me off and will not refund my money. I believe that their policy to issue coupons was established after the events were cancelled.
THey solld thousand of tickets for millions of dollars and covid cancelled all the people are out the full price paid plus fees and service charges. Avoid this scam outfit.

I am a long term customer of Stubhub. I have purchases superbowl tickets (2 times > 20K) and NFL Playoff tickets ( more than $4000).
I tried to buy tickets to *******@Titans - $5200. The transaction went through and then a few minutes later, they reversed it and then locked my account.
Nothing wrong with my credit card as it went to bank and was approved and then reversed by Stubhub.
I called and get people who clearly have english as a second language and wont tell me why my account was locked and tell me it will be 24-48 hours for someone to get back to me. No explanation. I cant believe this is how they are now treating customers. I even created a brand new account, bought the tickets, the charge went through, and then a few minutes later Stubhub cancelled the order and locked my brand new account. I think the management of Stubhub should be fired and they may as well close up shop. No one who buys sporting even tickets will accept this poor service.

I retract my earlier review of StubHub regarding refunds. My event was cancelled and I received an email from live nation stating that the refund would be given to the original purchaser. I called StubHub and they were super nice and are taking care of my refund. Only down side is it can take up to 120 days. Better late than never!
I purchased tickets to the US Formula 1, an event that has now been cancelled. The cancellation appears on the official websites of Formula 1 and of the host Venue Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
I have called Stubhub on three occasions to request a refund. Each time I get the same story, " our system does not acknowledge that the event is cancelled. Our events team are working on this and will advise of the outcome in 48 hours" The customer service reps are clearly reading from scripts and guess what? 3 out of 3 times the "events team" has not responded. My last customer service rep found the cancellation notice on line within about three minutes, yet the events team have not been able to confirm it within 3 weeks! Its clear that the customer service reps have been placed as cannon fodder for dissatisfied customers as no-one that has any authority to make a decision is able to be contacted, either directly or via customer service. Stub Hub have my money and I want a refund, clear and simple. Holding customers funds by denying the irrefutable fact that an event has been cancelled is dishonest, Unethical and will result in me never using this sham service again.
Purchased 2 football tickets to a Baylor game that was cancelled due to COVID. They will not refund the money but instead gave me a coupon for 120% of the value good until Dec 2021. Trouble is there are few if any events that allow fans in. What a rip off, will never purchase again from StubHub
After purchasing tickets for Red Sox yankees game in June in Boston through stub hub. Game was canceled and trying to get refund from stub hub impossible. They have authorized a credit for me to buy something else but I donrcwant that. Buyer beware they are crooks
I bought 2 tickets for over $3000 to a final tour event with their "Fanprotect" guarantee. We are not event goers. Event was cancelled. They refuse to refund cash, they will only issue a coupon that expires end of 2021. They changed their refund policy AFTER I bought the tickets and made it retroactive to any event that was cancelled. They are basically extorting me and forcing me to apply my money to a future event. So if I don't want to attend an event in the future, I just lose my money. How is this legal? There are a few states that have laws to protect consumers from this type of abuse (14 I think) but the rest of us are just out of luck. Do not use this company. Obviously they feel they can change their policies at any time they want to line their coffers. I tried getting resolution on their community page (you can't get through on the phone) and just kept getting told "This is our policy." If you disagree in any way on their community page they just delete your comments and eventually ban you from the site. There is a class action lawsuit that I hope gets justice for all of us affected. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I ordered tickets for football games. They got canceled due to covid. No fault of them. I received an email stating I could get a refund or coupon for another event. I called to get a refund. I've gotten nothing but a run around. Got called a very nasty name and hung up on. I called back spoke a survivor who said they would call me back in 2 hours. He didnt. I called back and called a liar by that person. Was told survivor would call back in15 minutes. He never called back. I asked why I am being told now I can only get a coupon. He told me they shouldn't have to pay back everyone money because they would lose money. I was told from someone through I diagram they only refund of its required by law.
It is criminal the way stub hub has handled the refund of postponed shows during the pandemic. I paid $3,300 for two tickets to The Eagles originally scheduled for April 26,2020 in Phoenix. They postponed the show to October of 2020, then postponed the show again to September of 2021. StubHub claims they bought my tickets from an individual when in fact the bought the tickets from the concert promoter as they were advertising entire rows and sections available for sale. They now insist on keeping my money for nearly 2 years and are only willing to allow me to re-list my tickets for sale in competition with their own tickets WHEN tickets go back on sale again. I protested this to American Express and they took StubHubs position. I wouldn't do another ounce of business with either StubHub or American Express. DO NOT BUY THROUGH STUBHUB!
The fact that this company has made NO effort to address the issues of cancellations due to Covid is disgusting! A coupon for cancelled events in normal circumstances is pretty shady but to continue this practice when all events have been cancelled due to Covid AND to offer only a one year period of use is reprehensible! I could accept a minimal service fee loss but the loss of the total purchase price is just wrong. Who knows if events will be offered in a year or if those events are a reasonable replacement for the original event!
I caution everyone to avoid StubHub... I will NEVER use them again!
Stub hub is the worst company to use for tickets, if you buy tickets from stub hub and the event gets canceled and or postponed to a later date which in my case got rescheduled till sept 2021 and it's on July 2020 right now and I'm not able to make the new dates, they will not let me exchange for in store credit to different nor it is IMPOSSIBLE, to get a refund, they find every way to keep your money and will not ever give it back, the only option they gave me was to sell the tickets on stub hub, like what the f*** is that? How can I sell tickets to an even that isn't even going on for another 14 months, no one is buying these tickets for a good 12 months so my 850$ is just sitting with stub hub, thanks a lot, stub hub is garbage don't waste your time
I would give 0 stars for stubhub if possible. When asking for a refund for a concert ticket, originally for June 2020, and official status is "postponed", they would not help at all and only refer to their policies.

So I have $900 tickets for a concert for an unknown Date, maybe in 2021.
And my only option of I can't / don't want to go - is to resell the ticket on stub hub so they can make more $$ of the transaction.

I bought 2 tickets to a Harry Styles concert for my daughter as it turns out she could not attend. So I listed them on Stubhub. They sold! The concert was postponed! So what they did was collect the money from the buyer and will not pay me till the concert goes off till September of 2021! SO I SHOULD JUST WAIT A YEAR AND A HALF FOR MY MONEY HELL NO
My event was cancelled due to covid they changed there policy in March so the wouldn't have to give out refunds but they would only give out credits. Customer service is a joke too
I bought tickets and my concert got cancelled. Instead of refunding me my money (186.85) they are supposedly giving me 120% credit that expires dec 2021 and I even bought the ticket insurance. I don't go to concerts enough for this to be beneficial to me and apparently there is no way they can resolve this. I am also in the military and currently pregnant. I can't leave the 50 mile radius still and tried to get my money back before they cancelled the concert, but they said I couldn't and to wait til later and I could transfer them to someone. I'm more than displeased with this company. I will never buy anything through them again!
Still waiting for a promised refund on Texas Ranger opening day tickets, paid three time face value on 2-6 them COVID. Still no refund. Was told I would get a refund or a credit. I chose a refund and now they claim no refund only credit.
StubHub is not standing by its previous agreement to offer a full refund. Instead, it unilaterally altered its agreement with customers and is keeping Buyers' money--INTEREST FREE!--offering a 20% bonus to future events--WITH A DEADLINE! This is both contractual fraud (changing the terms) and theft (keeping other peoples' money). IF YOU HAVE ANY STANDARDS AT ALL--do not do business with this fraudulent group of bandits.

Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.

Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event.
