Total scam if only I had seen the reviews. I can't believe Xero invoicing partner with them. Believe all the reviews, there terrible and should be investigated by the government. Terrible company.
I've run a legitimate business I run service calls I need to take a credit card from a client client gave me the card I set up a stripe app and instead of getting my money I had nothing but issues and reasons why they won't give me my money saying it's fraudulent which I've sent them my clients and American Express documents stating that he never flagged it for fraud and so on I've sent in all my corporate documents to prove I'm legitimate and they still won't give me my money it's been two and a half months then they just give you pre-written rebuttals when you email them no phone calls nothing never go with this company they are a bunch of robbing thieves lying scumbags
Stripe canceled our clinic account because we test for and treat COVID when it's very early on and the progression can be stopped, before a patient is forced to go to the hospital. They made the decision unilaterally without the medical knowledge or comprehension to make such a determination. It is a small clinic in a rural community, one of the only ones. Urgency of testing and treatment has kept many community members from having to go the hospital. Small clinics are vital to rural America, and the capability to accept payment instead of ins. Only is just as important. Attempts to dispute were met with canned emails and delays. That was not a surprise, however, as their customer service is to the same standard. Your best bet is to contract outside labor to set up their system and integrate it with you existing tools, unless you are an I. T. yourself.
The best thing you can do is, find another service. This one just isn't worth the risk or the aggravation, and small businesses don't have time to deal with either.
I set up my Stripe account in May 2022. I sent 3 invoices to my client and they immediately paid it. Suddenly Stripe blocked my account without any reason. All the money is still stuck with them. They have neither refunded to my client nor sending it to my account. It's fine if they don't want to do business with me but atleast process all the stuck funds. I have been trying to contact customer support for more than a month without any response. I have no idea what to do and if I would be getting my money back. What a fraud!

They don't give a damn about your security, well being, large or small business, etc. They only exist to trap your funds as long as humanly possible to prop up their stock price. Money trapped on their "platform" and you want to just move on an refund the customer? Too bad, they're keeping their outrageously high uncompetitive fee. That is if they even complete the refund request at all.
Resist interacting with this company at all costs! Write your local state legislators. Only together can we bring these clowns down.
Worst company I've ever worked with. They are refusing to payout my money. They have stolen over $500.00 from me. May not be much to some, but I now can not buy my child's school supplies!
Stripe will not released my fund, I have asked for the fund to release to my bank account since early july, now is August, I finally talked to customer service, she told me she has no control but escalation department need to verify my website which their system already stated verified. CSR told me escalation will call me back 24 hours or she can just forward my message to a shadowy department that will not answer call instead. One month of waiting, 40 minutes of phone call and 3% fee, and this company still will not release my funding. I am looking for new payment processor because of this incident.
We have been working with stripe they withhold almost 300k USD from us we have the proof, that clients did a chargeback and after we communicate with them they change the chargeback to a payment true their bank stripe is still mentioning it as a chargeback they are crooks stealing merchants funds
They do nothing for merchants other than take their money

Stripe has refused to make my payouts. They have scammed me. Avoid like the plague. Can't believe Facebook supports this scammer on Marketplace
I provided my id they keep asking and stating that i give give them id and not giving support they have now asked to contact me after they said they couldnt call me so therefore i am saying goodbye what kind of large organisation does this im afraid your standards have gone.
No one handing the actual ticket/case # can speak to anyone but the customer service reps and they are "working on it and will get back to me" 19 dy - i've had to pay my bills from funds they will not release. Its just a joke. No one can provide any details on what the issues ie, what is being done to resolve - only that its a domain verification. And the 1 or 2 reps that have looked at my domain say everything appears to check out and be in place.
Worst what you can find and use for your business!
No any help on disputes and chargebacks - scammers/fraudlers can easy get your product for free. You will lose all chargebacks!
I attached trackings, photos... etc... that my customers received items but what next? Customer can easy open dispute and win it, You will lose your money, product and will pay additional fee for chargeback.
Also they have 10% holds on all your transactions, and you will not receive this 10% reserve, bacause every 2 months they will delay date when you must receive it.
Worst! Do not use this payment gateway!
I have been requested to provide the same information over 7 times in the past 2 months. Been assured the situation is handled just to get the same message a week later. NEVER had a customer complaint or refund request. These people are idiots.
My account got canceled June 24th 2022, with $4k in the strip account. It is now July 15th 2022 and have yet to retrieve that money either to the bank or refunded back to the customer. Been emailing with stripe since June 25th but seems like they only respond back 1-2 times and never hear from them again.so i emailed a complaint and now im told it might take up to 35 business days for a response. I highly don't recommend stripe. Im a small business thats getting taken advantage of. Now i need to put up that $4k out of pocket to cover the job its tended for.
Should have read those reviews before starting with them. I mean seriously what a bunch of inconsistent idiots. They $#*!ing $#*! with your account until you call it quits and don't bother about it anymore. Their concept of what's considered a high risk buisiness is completely flawed. Oh well will look for better alternatives and keep moving forward.
About 30 emails into trying trying to find out if my customer has been charged the $435 they put up as a down payment. Still haven't received an answer. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! Do not let your customers money go into anything this company has to offer!
Held my money for 120 days, closed my account, and now the payout is over two weeks after the payout date. Can't call, only email.

This dude just had the nerve to tell my girlfriend that they are going to hold her pay for 2 more days because of a bank error. Lol. Guess what punk James and whoever is in your shabby corporate office when I get there. Your going to tell me to my face that your stealing from her today and I don't care about police or anything like that because it's gonna be a long long wait for them to get there. After that maybe I'll go see your employees kids and they can say it to my face to.
I had a customer accidentally pay me using stripe because the invoice maker I used to bill her had a direct payment link through stripe. I had to set up an account to receive the money and they held it indefinitely pending a "review" where they asked me for all kinds of information including my price sheets and my work equipment. They were treating this as if I applied for a job with them or something. I STILL have not received the money nor has my customer gotten refunded and this has been since June 29th so over a week. If I had used cashapp I would have received the money within seconds. Do NOT let them into your life. They are worse than PayPal. I'm sure they'll keep their fee they took off of it too if I ever see the money at all. Also there is nobody you can call for help it's all done by messages. Absolute hell.
If something is wrong, they gonna suspend your account and any ways to contact them. And you won't see your money ever again.

Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction.
