The only hiccup was the slight ambiguity in their pricing. Their advertised rates are $295 for two hours and a subsequent $75 for every extra half-hour. They also charge $17 for each flight of stairs. When I inquired about the pricing, they did repeat these details but added a $20 charge for wrapping my mattress. A tip: if you wish to save some bucks, get a $5 plastic mattress cover. I saw one at a store in Chelsea. After packing my items quickly (a bedroom set, a large table, mattress, and some chairs), they reached my new home swiftly. On completion, I paid the amount I was told and even tipped each member, including Akmal and Alex, $30 each. Surprisingly, 15 minutes into the unloading, Emil mentioned an additional $34 toll fee, which was puzzling as they had just moved a short distance in Manhattan. Though I was taken aback, I settled the amount because I wanted to conclude the process without further ado. To sum it up, Star Van Lines did an excellent job. I might've liked a clearer breakdown of costs, but given the efficiency and time saved, I can overlook the unexpected $34
