This company is the epitome of a scam operation, cunningly posing as a trustworthy service provider while scheming to drain your wallet. It's high time we expose their devious tactics and protect one another from falling into their trap.

You won't believe the audacity of Star of Service's marketing ploys. They bombard you with unwanted calls, spammy emails, and misleading ads, all aimed at reeling you in. But here's the kicker—they can't deliver on their grand promises. Instead, you end up with the short end of the stick, or worse, absolutely nothing. And don't even think about getting a refund or decent customer support; they'll simply ignore you or push the blame elsewhere.

I signed up for a free account a long time ago. I would get leads for my personal training business, however not one lead was in my area. Vancouver. I then recieved an email that they were going to move all free packages to paid 139/mo I replied to cancel. The reply wasnt helpful saying to go into my account to cancel and wasnt able to find a way to cancel. I asked 2-4 other times to cancel. One of the last times I got a 6 page google form with 6-10 mandatory fields to fill out. Today I discovered that they charged my card 2 weeks ago. I called my credit card and immediately started charge back. DO NOT USE STAR of SERVICE ITS a BULL$#*! SERVICE.

A complete scam. I signed up for a "FREE" trail for 10 days, but it wasn't free at all. They take the money off you anyway, and then won't let you cancel in your trial period. This was for premium. Then to make maters worse, once you have premium, you THEN have to pay again for a subscription plan. After loads of emails back and forth, someone eventually agreed to use the £500 I paid to put towards an individual plan, which I had to pay a further £180 for (£680 total), just so I was able to actually contact leads. Just when you think it can't get any worse, the 10 interactions you have each month, automatically get used up within days, to leads coming in that are no where even near your service area. And trying to speak to the customer service team is like going round in circles. I'm absolutely gobsmacked. I'm going to be looking at some way I can get my money back or take some sort of legal action against them as this is just wrong! AVOID! All the other 1 star reviews pretty much say it all.

After luring you in with a 'free' subscription to enhance referral business, and demanding a credit card number and account, the old 'switcheroo' is pulled saying they are enhancing their service with a monthly subscription fee. There is no way to recall your credit card on the "profile" and account page or delete it. The charges for cancelling any of the subscriptions imposed is $15, but cancellation is not guaranteed if, after filling out a tediously long begging, nagging explanation of why you don't want them to siphon your money, if you have not accurately redescribed your account to them complete with screen shots of your profile and Billings. Bull$#*!...DO NOT sign up for this usury and negative billing crap trap.

Hard to believe they are real leads when I do not get a response to one when I have been running a successful business for 12+ years. There is also now to free tier, was not warned of a fee, and have now been charged around $1,500 I have to try to get reimbursed for or seek credit card help. Thanks for nothing.

Somehow star of service started charging me a subscription in May which I did not agree to. I used the service to increase my internet presence which it did not do. The leads over the last 6 years have been absolutely pathetically terrible and false quite often. They have changed their platform offers so many times that I have given up on what they are doing. I'm now in a situation where I have to pay the subscription for one month to be able to cancel and remove my account. They offered a 50% discount to pay the account off so I can cancel it. When I go to pay it it gives me no option except to pay for the full amount. Their emails to me have been incorrect which could be interpreted as lying. When you go to cancel the service unless everything is absolutely correct according to their records, which could be anything it will deny you the ability to cancel their service. It was a 27 plus page form that has asked for screenshots of my account Etc. This coming from a company that has allowed false companies to operate on their website for more than a year by my observation. I'm very upset that I can't give it less than one star. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy any dealings with star of service. Their name should be changed to Cesspool of service.

The marketing is misleading. They double charge and wont credit. They don't respond timely. The leads are very few and far between. DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS SERVICE.

They lure you in with a "3 month free" trial, but start to charge your account right away. When you try to cancel, there are over 30 hoops you have to jump through to even get close to canceling. They say it's to "verify your account", but shouldn't logging in be enough to do that instead of sending screenshots and other useless info.
I've reported these charges to my credit card company and hope I get refunded.
Never again.

They took money off of my credit card without my authorization saying they sent emails to tell me the free service will now be charged. I did not get the emails and when confronting them, they ignore me and won't refund me. They also said cancel the subscription yet I cannot even do that as their system won't let me do it. I told them about that too and they are still ignoring me! I will dispute them to my credit card company! They are total crooks!

I signed up for individual plan trial from oct 23 2022 - oct 22 2023. Yet they charged my credit card for $139 for another individual plan. This is ridiculous they are scammers. Im going to cancel all their service and contact the bank for refund

This is quite annoying. These sites/companies with such a useless subscription like this shouldn't exist, I mean, over $250 just to be able to answer requests? The company's a whole comedy asking too much money, I wouldn't complain at all if subscription were like $20 or even $25.99 a month, but over $250 it's a damn joke, I won't fill their pockets just to answer project requests.

If y'all know what's convenient, you might look somewhere else to work as a freelancer. No wonder why this company's hella bad rated, yet they say they're good rated with 4.8 out of 5 stars... ye, sure, homie! XD

I have 3 times tried to cancel my subscription which is done automatically from them.
They ignored my mails and i paid for 3 months EUR 210,00
They told me to cancel subscription over there platform. I tried it and got an error message that it ist not possible to cancel here and that i have to write a mail;-).
They are so nice

After that i tried and i tried but they are ignoring me and ask me why i want to cancel.

Do not sign up to any services with these scam artists. I agreed to a Free 1 Week Trial and the same day they took full payment from our account, before the Trial had ended. I cancelled the trial immediately and now they refuse to refund the money. I am taking legal action against this fraudulent company.

I received an email from an old account saying a customer had attempted contact. I had tried to close my free account years ago but I didn't like the idea of my details still been available when I don't do that work any more.

When I saw a free trial was offered I clicked through so I could read the email. There wasn't an email or message from any customer. Withon the hour I was trying to cancel my so called ree trial.

First they ask you to email.
Then they reply with a form to complete_ 10 pages long!
Then you have to tell them you have completed the form.

All the way through you are having to send screen shots, give proof that you are wjonyou say you are and after all that they tell you that they will Assess your case!

I ended up contacting PayPal to put an immediate stop to any payment requests. I am glad I did. Within the day they had put the subscription through.

The free trial is 3 days but the small.print says you must cancel two days before the end of your free trial ie... the same day you take it out! For most people this would slip them by I only took it out to read a fictitious email. The cost of the error is not small. Had PayPal not helped me they would have got over £500 of my hard earned money!

This site is a complete scam and they really should be shut down and done for fraud

This company should be ashamed of themselves! They use completely misleading wording in their offers and emails and make it look as though you are signing up to a free trial when in fact they are selling you a completely useless subscription for £500. They pray upon small independent freelancers who are looking for work and offer absolutely no compassionate customer service. I have made it very clear that I was misled by a 'free trial' offer and I'm now struggling to pay my bills as they have taken £500 from me. Do not by any means give this company any of your payment details as they will scam you.

A day after signing up automatically charged for one year and refused to offer refund. Did not get any notification that was going to be billed.

Demands initial balance in order to enter the 'pool' of supply and demand, instead of allowing the balance to grow from assigned orders, which is already a bad sign. Then, has agressive marketing and mostly fake, asking to pay balance for seeing demands for your services and access an alleged possible customer. Finnaly, it is not possible to delete the account. Most terrible website for service providers.

I should have checked the reviews before I subscribed. Useless leads is all you get and wait till you decide to cancel the subscription. They make sure its basically impossible. They make you pay 15 USD for them to review your cancellation request, only to reject the request, and keep charging you every month. I feel like a complete moron. AVOID! ZERO stars!

They will do all they can to steal your money. It's a real scam and they won't allow you to cancel even if you have a monthly plan. They will make you complete an endless survey and then ask to pay them to cancel by asking for your card info! Look at pictures I uploaded!
