I googled and looked on reddit what services to use and all things said about stackry was positive. I decided to bite the bullet and just go head first into this company without any prior experience to parcel forwarding, as the original company I was ordering from did not ship directly to HK. The customer support helped rectify a problem I had and became frantic when the FedEx tracking between the original company and Stackry failed, but was actually shipping as per normal. When it did arrive at Stackry, it was immediately registered into their system, and the number "0" became a delightful "1" to my eyes on the dashboard which I was checking very often for over the week. Everything sailed smoothly afterwards but I was a little peeved that the repackaging + bubble wrap option took a total of 30 hours since selecting the option, which I found to be quite a long time. I hope they can improve on this. But beyond this, I've just finalized the shipment and an amazing thing is coming to my house over the next 2-5 days. They have a calculator too which was very accurate on how much it'd cost to ship it (Actual cost was 140 USD, the calculator I used said 135 USD), since I needed every guesstimate for such roughwork when I am completely inexperienced in shipping stuff. Overall absolutely delightful experience that feels premium in spite of their simple site design. But perhaps indeed simple is the best, right?^^

I ordered from Ipsy (a makeup subscription box) and when it got to Mexico, it said that there was a customs problem. I talked to someone from DHL and they told me that I had to file for a special permit (which I tried to) and it was so complicated I couldn't do it. I had to have my package shipped back to the US to a friend's address.
I ended up paying for the Stackry shipping fee for nothing. I should've just sent the package directly to my friend.
Nowhere on the website did it say that I would have trouble with customs, and I also saw a picture of Ipsy on your website, along other logos, so I assumed it would be an easy shipment.

I have had a good experience so far with Stackry except for one thing. Most of the photos of my packages are just a picture of my Stackry address, not the address of the sender. This makes it impossible for me to determine which item it is so I can fill out the descriptions without paying extra for more pictures. I order a lot of things from Amazon, so I admit a picture of Amazon's address might not necessarily be helpful - but a picture of my Stackry address! I know without looking where I sent the package. Send me something that gives me a fighting chance if you are honest.

Answer: The restrictions are on these types of items are dependent on what country you are shipping to. It is always best to check with your local customs office on what can be shipped before shopping in the U.S. The specific restrictions will vary by country. For example on your list perfume has the tightest restrictions which are based on the ‘flash point’ of the perfume. Vitamins and supplements are widely shipped but some countries have very tight restrictions on specific ingredients. Stackry will ship most items that eligible to be shipped to your home

Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon scenario for shipments being imported into your destination country. Customs processes, including duties and taxes, clearance procedures, and in some cases permits, vary from country to country. Delays and clearance events are inevitable to an extent though when it comes to international shipping, as there are bound to be some now and then. We at Stackry do not have a hand in destination countries customs clearance processes and procedures, and have always advised our customers to work with their country's customs office and clearance depots to avoid and/or work through any potential issues that may arise, be it before or during the operation.
