After completing the purchase and providing a certificate request that met their specification, the process for verifying that I can receive administrative e-mail for the domain I was applying for was quick and I had the PositiveSSL certificate I purchased within five minutes. I did find their specification for generating a certificate request a little more stringent compared to other certificate authorities I have worked with in that some certificate authorities will look the other way when things like locality information are missing but they will make you regenerate your certificate request if any required fields are missing.
Fairly easy. Let's see, how good it goes with getting the certs now...

I made a mistake on the administrative contact email address and support says there is no way to fix it other than canceling and getting a new certificate.
In general the process was easy and smooth. The only issue I had was in finding the right installation guide in Commodo.
