I had 2 items that no longer work. A humidifier and a 6sheet paper shredder from Walmart. I submitted my clams and received 2 egift cards. Which I attempted to use though was told they were not active and had to call square trade. I sent pictures of items, copy of my receipts yet still going through hoops for 40.37! I am still waiting 9 supervisor 's later!
They are very bad on helping you out when it come to purchasing the plan beware they are horrible the will take the money but not help you out
Sadly I had to give them 1 star I have been fighting with them now for 3 months to be paid for an approved claim on my snow blower. They keep emailing for more info or the picture isn't. Centered blah blah blah. This is by far the worst company ever... Stay clear.
I bought a 5 year protection plan on 2 Essentials Collection Home Entertainment Recliner and in their policy they cover the kind of fabric. After 2 years, the fabric on one arm started to peel.
I contacted Wayfair first, and they ask me to contact Square Trade who told me that the fabric wasn't covered. Even when I sent them back a highlighted copy of the section mentioning that it was covered they refused again and now they don't answer anymore.

This company sucks. I bought a chromebook and my son broke it twice. They only fixed it once they saidthe limit of liability has been reached. They are trying to only make profit and dont care about their customers. Its not like everybody is going to break their laptop. Don't buy their insurance. They either want you to waste your money on theinsurance plan or only do a claim once.
Warning…Unless you belong to a certain bank, they won't process a trade in. Find out what bank they use before providing them with all your personal information! Seems a bit dodgy to me.
They lie, they cheat customers, they do not read notes
English isnt in any of their major speaking languages
They wil ask you to resend proof of payment, delivery of item and receipts ( i have several times)
Do not buy fromt hem especially on ebay
They will refuse your claim and flag you and refuse to refund
Horrible customer service. I am uploading THREE items (2 itemized invoices with prices before and after tax etc) plus a receipt stating that I have paid and the first reply from their end is that the PRICES are missing. I resend the items and CIRCLE the amounts for them just to receive another email a day later claiming that the ITEMIZATION is missing now. What a joke and what a poor way to treat customers. Had to chat for over half an hour and then was asked to send them my PURCHASE HISTORY? I then read other reviews online and found out that this seems to be your method to treat customers. Had to chat again (since they had promised my refund within a couple of business days which did not happen) Then I receive another message because all of the sudden they found out that the item was a little less expensive than the repair (which was crystal clear from the get-go) They then paid the item price (which they should have agreed on from the beginning of my claim) Very disappointed in Allstate which once was a reputable company in the past. Thanks for all the trouble and unnecessary time invested.
I submitted my receipts for a refrigerator repair multiple times. Each time I receive a response saying either I need to submit a receipt (even though they were submitted several times) or that the receipt was blurry. I've received multiple emails stating that I need to call customer service. When I do, they say they can do nothing because I have not submitted the receipts for repair. After 7 months, I finally requested assistance from the state insurance commissioner. Shame on you, Allstate, I expect better service from a major insurance company!
Purchased a protection plan when we bought our furniture. When we needed the insurance and filed all the claims they were worthless. It was damn near impossible to file the claim in the first place and once the claim was filed and approved, we didn't receive our gift card/credit as we were promised. In the meantime, the furniture we wanted to replace with the gift cards has doubled in price and will now cost us more money than the original furniture. This insurance is great until you need it
After many emails that weren't received or that the pics were missing or the receipt wasn't visible I was told it was weather and they didn't cover weather damage. The seems ripped on my car port and what do you know? They don't want to pay. Just skip using this company. You think it's Allstate and good insurance. THINK AGAIN
I have had to call them multiple times to get this claim paid out. Every time I call in there is a new piece of documentation I have to provide to continue with the claim. Finally when I am assured that there will be no further documents needed I get an email stating that my claim has been closed. I call in and they say I will have to start again. DO NOT BUY THIS POLICY! IT IS A SCAM!
Square Trade is terrible. They give you the runaround, think they know what you need OVER THE PHONE! They sent all the wrong PARTS! They are slow at getting the repair done. They will not give you a phone number for the department that needs to order the part. Definitely not worth purchasing. Will never have anything to do with Allstate.
I filed a claim on a sectional couch from Biglots. It was two pieces which meant I had two separate policies. They approved one but denied the second even though it was the same piece of furniture. I selected a refund check for my claim and they sent my a gift card. The 8th time I called I was told they don't offer refund checks for that merchant, asked to speak to a supervisor that told me that was a lie and that it was their fault but since the gift card was issued their was nothing they can do. SquareTrade claims 1 free replacement, exactly how to I replace a two piece sectional couch with $350!
Do not ever get all state protection plan (square trade) Bought a printer from Walmart with a protection plane in March of 2022. It broke in September of the same year. But was ok because I had the protection plan. Worse day of my life square trade has the worse customer service, 1st they ask is if I called the company that made the printer, why would I need to when I didn't buy it from them. Got a box set it form them to pick up the printer. Should have know something was wrong when I got the printer with in days. When I got the printer back I had to send it back because it had an error message on the screen. Again they ask if I called the company. After weeks of having the printer the second time they could not fix it. The only option with out asking me was a Walmart gift card. Could not get a straight answer as to why that was my only option with my money was a Walmart gift card. It was up to all states protection plan not the customer on how the money get refunded.
After approved claim, sending my device to them, replacement device still not even scheduled for shipment from them. Calling gets nothing done but foreign broken English runaround.
Another few days, I'll be opening BBB case against them
SquareTrade is an illusion when it comes to service. All contact number listed online are not complete...they are all 1 number short. I am not sure how the got a 1.18 start review
Our tv went out while still under Squaretrade warranty. The warranty agreement stated that the would send a service technician to our home for a large tv to see if it could be repaired not. Instead we were told to find our own technician, pay for the service call, and send the receipt to SquareTrade for reimbursement. After arguing with the square trade person about who is responsible for getting a technician, I gave up trying to negotiate this matter. Furthermore, it is difficult to find a TV repair person in our small community. In the sun, a word of advice, stay away from square trade.
THIS IS A SCAM THAT EVERYONE SHOULD AVOID. WHEN YOU CALL IN THEY TELL YOU YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOT YOUR ACCOUNT AND THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS YOUR ITEMS UNDER THEIR NAME AND THAT THEY DON"T KNOW HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE AND YOU HAVE TO JUMP HOOPS TO PROVE IT'S YOU BY TAKING PICTURES AND EMAILING THAT I GIVE AUTHORIZATION TO TRANSFER THE ACCOUNT TO THE EMAIL I WANT IT UNDER. I SPOKE TO SEVERAL SUPERVISORS AND REPRESENTATIVES FOR 11 DAYS WITH NO RESOLUTION. YOU WILL GET NO WHERE. THEY WANT YOUR MONEY AND DON'T WANT TO REPLACE, REFUND OR REPAIR. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE COVERAGE AGAIN.
Recently, we purchased a carport from Amazon and had it insured by Square Trade. After 60 days, the frames of the carport were bent after a storm. We filed a claim with Square Trade. They wouldn't cover it, saying they didn't cover weather. Really, outdoor furniture not being covered by weather. They are just a bunch of liars and scoundrels. Amazon and Costco and all major retailers should be this despicable company. Allstate, the owner of this company, should clean house on this horrible company.
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
