I wanted one phone number search for $0.95 on 2/12/2021, and then was somehow signed up for a subscription. So I was billed $24.95 on 2/20/2021. Then Spokeo only offered to not renew my subscription starting in March when I complained. When I further pressed for a full refund, because I did not want (nor used) the the subscription service, they only refunded $10 of the $24.95. I'm guessing this is how Spokeo generates income & is a very suspect business practice in my opinion.

I tried to do a search on an e-mail address. After being teased with them telling me they found information, I paid the $4.95 and then they said "sorry! No information found" What a crock. I will never use this company again.

This service is a scam. Take a look at this screen shot of the search review of a phone number. Does it not give the impression that items with a green check box are available and all you have to do is pay $0.95 to view it? Wrong. The customer service rep. Stated the check boxes simply mean a search was performed on these items, not that they are actually available. I paid the fee thinking the data was available only to be given the same two pieces on info that are on the initial search screen (i. E. Minneapolis and Onvoy). Save your money, this company makes money by misleading you.

I used this website to find my family when, I was sold on the 95 cent charge.
They stated that after a month I would be charged a fee after my trial expired...
I used it a week ago.
I literally only have 10 dollars left on my bank account.
I do understand that this year has been dentrimental to the economy, I'm feeling it in my stomach myself...
But that doesn't justify taking money out of the account without asking first.
I barely make a living.
This joke of a company seems to do this to a lot of people.
I had to buy a new phone and already owe money asking it from a friend.
Never use this website, I'm surprised that with it's reputation, it is still up.

Spokeo will offer you a search for 95 cents and then automatically charge you $24.95 for membership after a weeklong free trial. Notification of this impending charge is buried at the bottom of the email receipt for the 95 cents. However, I did find that if you harass them enough, (I contacted them twice) they will give you a full refund. They have apparently done the same for others.

Paid $. 95 for a one-time phone # look-up. Got it and was billed $. 95. First of month following they billed me $24.95 monthly subscription. I called their customer service and they said it was a 7-Day trial which I needed to have canceled. I never signed up for a "trial". Their customer service person said they would cancel my monthly subscription but not refund my $24.95. I told them I was calling my credit card company to reverse the charge. They told me to "go right ahead". Two minutes later I received an email refunding my $24.95. This is clearly a scam. They figure that most people will cancel but not fight the charges already charged. I will call my state's Attorney General's office tomorrow and let them know about this deceptive practice.

So, I tried Spokeo for their trial period and cancelled the same day. Surprisingly, I find that they had my account set on a recurring payment plan. When I called them on this, they say that they can only refund a portion of what they errant you charged me! Anyone want to go in on a Class Action lawsuit?

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
