Are you kidding me? Free person look up free reverse number look up and ect. After you enter information which take your precious time... it does it 60 sec search and then blacks everything out. Looks like a redacted FBI report. Can't get any information unless you pay for the monthly or immediate memberships... don't waste time just face that you will probably not find anything out unless you want to pay to any of these sites. Most are same place just under a different name. Monopolies!

I did a 7 day trial and forgot to cancel it. I know that its my fault so I can't blame them for it all BUUUUTTTTTT the DAY it cleared my account I reached out to them and letting them know I wanted to please cancel and Requested a refund. I got an email response the next morning and was told they processed refund of $9.98... BUT $49.90 cleared my account! I emailed them back and requested the FULL AMOUNT be Refunded.
I got a response that "Regarding the refund, while all our payments are non-refundable, we value the opportunity to offer you a solution. The account was eligible for a refund of $9.98 which has already been processed. Additionally, I can confirm that the auto-renewal for the subscription has been disabled and you will receive no further charges for the subscription effective immediately."
OK!?!?!?! But WHY ARE THEY KEEPING MY MONEY. Again Something is better than nothing, but Nowhere in the agreement can I find where it says they get to keep my money! We are in the middle of a world wide pandemic and these people are STEALING PEOPLES MONEY! And the agent helping me CLEARLY stated she seen I only did 1 single search since I opened the account, so CLEARLY IM NOT USING THERE SERVICE.

I paid $0.95 for one search. I was good with that. A few days later I was charged $24.95. I contacted spokeo and they wanted to issue me a $9.98 refund. I told them that wasn't fair and I was going to write a review. Then they decided they would refund the full $24.95. This is a joke you pay for once search and later you're charged more.

As an IT professional I have a lot of suspicion. The owner of the site clearly scrapes the Dark Web as is stated. My suspect is that this leads average consumers to believe they are able to "look under the surface for some juicy or secret information." Several times over the past few years I've run a test batch of 50 number and people searches. Rarely is more than 10 accurate results returned. Yes, they will "forget" to cancel you. You'll have to watch and call several times. But I believe that is part of their business model. Even at just. 95 cents for a 7 day trial as little as 100 hits a day for only one day then cancel is a LOT of Money. And, if the owner is able to pick up a month or two, then all the better. I own an IT company and a Database service. I would bet you a dollar to a dime Spokeo's entire employee count doesn't surpass 3 people. Spokeo is nothing more than a user interface filled with scraped information from inaccurate sources and the owner doesn't "scrub" the data clean before reselling it to you.

Make sure you read the fine print! There is NO one time fee. In my case I was charged 0.99 for one number look up. Then offered 24.95 for full report which I declined. Guess what one week later I was charged 24.95 as a recurring monthly charge.
When I called they explained there was a free 7 day trail and then automatically converted to monthly service for 24.95. I cancelled that but was out one month. Total BS

I will do my uptmost to never use this site again. When I signed on for a 1 week trial, they automatically signed me up for a $24+ montlys subscription that I didn't want. Obviously I missed this ing the "fine print" but there was no way I should have had to read the fine print to avoid it.

I ordered the trial to get the wife of a family member that had just died. They snuck in the background check that I didn't not ask for on a dead man. I called them on it and refused to refund me on something I didn't order and the phone number they gave me was incorrect. I feel it's a scam. Don't use.

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
