I paid. 95 cents for a one time use. Shortly there after I found a $24.95 charge for a monthly fee. I called the customer service to cancel and get a refund. They cancelled but would not give a refund. Apparently the. 95 cents was for a 7 day trial which then turned into a monthly charge. They refused to make a refund. It seems like a scam to unknowingly get one to sign up to a monthly service.

Wish I'd looked here first... I paid for a. 95 1 time search and know I was conscious as to whether it was a one-time or trial and then you'll be billed sort of thing, I chose the one-time option with intention. This morning my bank statement had a $24.95 charge. I called to request a refund and was told they could only refund $9.95. I begged, immediate circumstances are such that every penny matters and that they wouldn't budge, so not cool. Not like I waited a week, I called the morning it hit my bank. Not happy. They suck.

I thought I was paying 95¢ For a single report. I ended up paying for two months before realizing what happened. $50 wasted because I only used that one report.

It was a total waste of my time and money, the information was outdated. I did a check on myself and it showed a phone number I had 10 years ago and showed none of my family members. Don't waste your money!

I was helping my parent fill out an application for Social Security. They could not remember the exact date they were married. I wanted to look it up just to be sure. I purchase the report and it gives information that I already know but not the wedding date, that was extra. I didn't want to spend even more money on it, I wanted just the report. What do they do? After 7 days they bill me for their monthly service. Because I didn't cancel in time, I get billed and cannot be refunded the entire amount. Monica did get me a partial refund but the no refund policy is so that they can sell single reports at a ridiculous amount of money.

There is no current data. Everything is outdated by a minimum of 2+ years and longer. After multiple searches with no current data, I realize what a waste of time and money this is. Marriages are not updated, addresses are not current, relatives and associates are not updated. Absolutely everything is out of date. Truly frustrating.

For a whole year I did not realize they were charging per month. I have paid $350 for a $1 one time fee. I am livid. Currently discussing options with my bank and discussing with lawyer family members. This company is deceitful and they couldn't even find the number I looked up. Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
