Been using Spokeo on & off (mostly on) since 2010, and never had a problem. If I don't recognize an incoming phone number I check it on Spokeo. If I don't recognize the the name, or there is no name listed, and they don't leave a message, I will not answer the call. It's been very helpful at screening out spam and cold calls. Saved me a lot of wasted time. It's definitely worth the $15 per quarter for the information it provides.
I wanted the identity of *******@gmail.com and didn't get it! I paid my $0.95 to learn this website doesn't deliver.

I found a "Free" white pages ad. Turns out it wasn't free at all, but a $1.00 for 7 days and then a recurring fee of $24.95 per month. I will never use this product again!

I've tried to search my email, to verify how the service works. Even If I know I have the subscription to many social networks, Spokeo just found only two entries, and I've also paid for it! If it works like this, it's perfectly useless.

I didn't get to read the whole report on the subject I queried before the surveys started. The first query, an email address came back with nothing. I would have liked to know if it was a valid email and had been used recently. I queried a second email associated with the first and was bombarded with surveys on how I liked spokeo. It would have been better if I was allowed to review the results of the query before the damn survey.
The customer service representative has excellent skills and solved my issue immediately. Her tone of voice was friendly and welcoming. I have personally worked for many years in customer service, lead generation and sales and the representative has outstanding skills. Spokeo you are very fortunately to have her as an employee who represents your company.

Several Year's Ago I won and was awarded a "LIFETIME Membership through a Contest Spokeo had at that time. I was told I had Won a "Lifetime Membership" at No Cost to me as a Winner. I asked at the time if it would "always truly be a Lifetime" Membership.
I was told Yes and Spokeo assured me that it would last for a Full a Lifetime for my Spokeo Account. But now Spokeo appears to NOT want to HONOR the "Lifetime Membership" that they "Awarded To Me" as a Winner.
I was told that "Lifetime" truly means Lifetime. So if Spokeo **Didn't Really Want To HONOR the LIFETIME Membership, then "Spokeo should have NEVER had a Lifetime Membership Contest.** Now they just want to try to UPSELL ME a New PAY as you go PLAN. Membership. Now I can't even gain access to my Spokeo account,. That is until after they CHARGE ME for my "FREE LIFETIME Membership."
I feel that this is Complete Fraud % and is Completely UNACCEPTABLE!
If not made right I will be forced to take proper legal action. I don't do companies Wrong and try and Rip Them Off and therefore I expect the EXACT SAME TREATMENT From Any Company that I do business with. They knew Exactly WHAT They Were Doing, when they gave me thar "Lifetime Membership" that they now seem to NO LONGER Want To HONOR!

My very first search turned up a ridiculous amount of information within seconds, homes from the 80's, phone numbers, friends, relatives. I only have the free trial and Spokeo gave me more info than my PAID membership on phonecheckpro. I'm going to run my own name next and check the accuracy.

I only needed this service for a one time lookup, so even though I did cancel that in no way a negative statement about the company. I was allowed to cancel through the customer service phone number (and yes I spoke to a real person) the rep was polite and professional and it took about 3-5 min. The service itself was simple and as accurate as all the others but what I like was the the web page itself was more user friendly, without have to use a tutorial, as some of the sites seem to be designed.

It has helped me find quite a few things I've been able to connect back with the high school friends I've also was able to find my father who I hadn't seen in years it just keeps you in the loop I guess you could say it's also helped me find out whether or not my significant other was cheating which she was so there's a lot of different things that you could use this website for.

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
