1st, to those reading this- I'm happy to take the person's name, do a 3 minute Google search, mix in some ridiculous & false info and pretend I'm a legitimate & fair business. All this for $24.95 a month! It will still be superior to Spokeo. Why have I been charged $25 if I canceled my subscription because the results were absolutely silly. ESPECIALLY the full background check I did on myself. Yes myself. It had 2 address (1 not even spelled right) and 2 phone numbers from 10 years ago! I Googled my name and literally got more information on the first page of results alone. They manipulate the fact that most people don't really understand what your getting during the whole "trial" joke. Trick you to pay $25 a month. I really needed these services, I know you can't fully depend on services like this of course, but many of us come here looking for a little piece of mind & honesty yet leave feeling taken advantage of. It's sad that you can't find a good honest business (outside of small) in any of these sh*t companies. I seen that Spokeo responded to another review on the horrible results, their response was something to the likes of "I'm sorry that you realized we're a terrible company, but we get the most info from direct sources. But too bad. We will pretend to care about your feedback & continue doing this to millions of other people. Most won't attempt to get their money back so we will just take it." And let's be honest, none of us are stupid. Even the co rep responding knows that Spokeo is terrible. They are just doing their jobs like the rest of us.
The one positive (a major one) was how kind and helpful the customer service rep was. She kept it simple but polite and refunded me. Perfect customer service transaction.

Spokeo was extremely helpful in checking out home health care help for my wife. Information received gave us piece of mind, after a previous bad experience with a worker. Their customer service representative was extremely helpful and very courteous when I requested that my account be closed. I paid for a one-time use of the service. The information that I acquired was extremely inaccurate and incomplete. I was then billed a monthly fee $24.95 saying I had signed up for a free 7 day trial.
Don't waste your money, I got vastly better results from just searching newspapers.com

I signed up with Spokeo to specifically find out who is calling me to determine if I should call back... I get less than 2% of my searches providing a result... And when I do get some information usually only the provider and whether it's a landline or other they have the audacity to offer to sell me a PDF of what I viewed on my monitor... To me - and I've had this service for several years - this is a waste of money... Quitting!

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
