Spokeo is well established company with 16 years history. Management cares a lot about employees and customers. Company has very well focused goals and do their best to satisfy customer. The company offers excellent benefit package to employees like unlimited PTO, fully covered medical, dental benefits and 401k, well covered travel expenses. Great culture team with lot events. Flexible work from home option. Most of the teammates and managers I work with are awesome. For me it is one of my best company in my entire career. I had 16 years experience in USA. This is the only company that gives good merit based raise two times in a year and 5-10% of salary as bonus.
I did a reverse look up and agreed to the. 95 cent charge on 5/12/2022 and on 5/20/2022 they charged me $24.95 without notifying me or my authorization to charge my card. I had to file a dispute with my credit card. They are a very dishonest company with deceptive business practices. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with them to save yourself the time trouble that I had to go through.

One search turned up several people with the same name but I don't know the person, just the he works for Exim Bank supposedly but I didn't hit on anything. I feel like there could have been more questions asked to help narrow down the search when there are multiple people with the same name.

I wanted a one time number. I paid through PayPal and specifically told them I did not want the full subscription. Well I just got billed for the fill subscription. I called and they graciously have me 9.00 dollars back.

This is the best service provider for searching people, for the money, that I have ever used. I have been with Spokeo for over two years. They are not perfect but it fits exactly what I need it for! If I need a deeper search, I can pay a small fee and get it done.

Their game is to charge their customers for services they don't use by not cancelling when the subscription is requested to be cancelled. This has to be a horrible business model, would love to know who runs this site. Going to have to count on karma to fix this one, I am out a bunch of money for not watching my accounts closely.

I received a response from Spokeo, that for the most part is word for word what all who complain get. I got added attention in an attempt to deflect the issue from that the services are redacted at the automatic renewal to explaining their billing. Simply put, if I try a service and I am given A, B and C services I would expect to continue to receive them when it becomes a paid service. During the trial, you have access to the services in the Spokeo Membership Plan, in which I was able to find potential addresses, phone numbers, email addresses etc. I assume this is their premium content. When it automatically switches to a paid subscription, at $24.95/ month they change it to a "Single Report" service. Which gives you basically not enough information to find someone. Phone numbers would be blurred out except a few digits (not the area code, so I could not get an idea of location). If you clicked on the number, it is a link where you could upgrade. Regardless, the service provided during a trial was "premium" and not indicative of what it would be at the $24.95/ month level. A reasonable person would expect the same services from the trial to continue at the quoted monthly rate. There was nothing highlighted, bolded or italicized that I saw informing me that $24.95 was only going to be a Single report service. With the single report, I searched and got no relevant or detailed information. If I wanted more "premium information," I could not believe the amount, I forget how much it was exactly, but it was shocking. The other Single report, (I believe it was either $0.99 or $1.99) for that specific search. Bait and switch.

I tried the free 7-day trial and I found names, locations, phone contact and emails. Then I was billed. I tried more searches and all of a sudden, the only information I could retrieve was name, age, possible locations and possible relations. All of the pertinent information had been redacted. I could have found this without paying $24.99. The most distasteful action was that clicking on the grayed-out information, (phone, email) I was taken to a page to pay an additional couple of dollars. What was the $24.99 a month for?
I emailed to cancel subscription, due to non use. To my surprise it was all done within 24 hours. Cancelation and refund. Great customer service.

My experience with Spokeo has been above average. I use mostly reverse searches, and for that purpose it is very helpful. With so much data, there can be errors, but it is a great place to get started and find what I need. I has also assisted me in locating past classmates, co-workers, neighbors and friends. Today I used it as I got a birthday message from my insurance guy sending regards to my wife and kids by name, and as I was responding, I could not remember his wife's name. A quick Spokeo search and found her name. People appreciate when you remember their families names.

So I have seen seismic changes in the way in which I work. I use a huge number of different sources and I would put Spokeo as one of the top sources to use. For me it really works. Pros: I have used the info to help answer questions that I was unable to find with just a simple internet search. I was able to look up my moms old addresses we lived when I was younger (she passed away a year ago so I could not ask her). If you want you can request to have your info removed from site.
Cons: some info is WAY off. Like related to... Or lived with... Also income is not correct from the searches I have done on people.
Bottom line: If you have pieces of info but want to try to fill in the blanks this is the site that could possible help you. Also if you get a lot of random unknown calls i will search number and 75% of the time I find out who the caller is. Occasionally my search will say landline or give only the phone company name and that is it but nothing is perfect.

I've been trying to track down an aggressive spammer who has been sending me text messages endlessly. I finally paid $1.95 on Spokeo to do a search for this person after the screen said that information had been found. As soon as I paid the $1.95, my "report" appeared saying "No information found." So, basically, I got scammed while trying to catch a scammer.

I paid for a 7 day trial and was automatically signed up for an ongoing subscription. This was not made clear. Also, I received an email receipt for the trial payment but not for the monthly fee. When I called they were only willing to refund $9.98 of the $25 I paid. I think they are intentionally doing this.

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
Answer: Elias, query "spokeo lawsuits" on google. There have been numerous cases on this group. Spokeo... if you are reading these complaints, I am wondering how you manage to get around the charge backs and still have a credit card company that works with you.
Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
