I don't even remember signing up for spokeo. It must have been a whim or maybe I thought I canceled but didn't. I saw the $24.95 charge on my credit card statement and had no idea what spoke was. I called them and canceled. I then researched in my email and found an original confirmation of signing up from back in June. $24.95 is way too much for this type of service even if I had used it more than once. Lesson learned, and remember to check your credit cards statements to catch these kind of money drains. Another complaint I have is there was never a follow-up reminding me that I had a subscription, asking my opinion of the service or flagging that my credit card was charged. I'm betting this company makes most of it's money on unused subscriptions like mine.

Never use this service for the $0.95 they advertise that give only the street number. No phone, no confirmation of address NOTHING EXCEPT the information that you can find out more by paying $19.95 which (after being scammed once) only a fool would do. They say the charge is $0.95, but in the fine print they state there is an additional charge of $24.95; very sneaky and unbecoming of a "legitimate" business. Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
