Generally speaking, it is a difficult task to deliver the level of detail some may be looking for when searching an address or phone number. Businesses use Spokeo to verify address and contact information all the time, some may use it to look into a new love interest, among other things. I find that it's generally fair and reliable and at the same time, get frustrated with the the data left out. I would think with all of the new AI in social media apps (ie: meta) it would be easier to cross check fake social media profiles; however I've found that those details are often the most left out of the reports. Also, the associates section is very hit or miss and in looking up myself, I see that there are relatives listed for me that are from my previous marriage over 8 years ago (since divorce). So take the information with a grain of salt. My comments are for an end user and by no means meant to present a complaint as I'd hope whomever uses this tool has respect for privacy and is able to get some validation based on results. Overall, I think Spokeo is a reliable program and I've also appreciated their great customer service over the years. If I forget to cancel my payment, that work with me so that I am able to reactivate my user account periodically. Thank you!
This site is basically the sorriest out of all the choices out there. Most all, if not ALL info is out if date and or wrong entirely. It also doesn't allow a full report without upgrading more. You can get the exact same info for free by typing the name into your search on any browser. Don't waste your time or money on this site.

I ordered Spoke trial for.95 cents. I should have known they would want more money for more information. I'm telling you go with your gut! If it feels like you're going to be sucked dry of your money for what was supposed to be in the trial, your first instinct is right. And if they had a different approach of selling their product they should be straight up front with the prices and what each package contains,in full! I wouldn't be giving a bad review if they would have put useful information in the trial. And I would have been happy with spending my money for useful information. But the way they deceived me with useless information is unacceptable when doing business. They don't even care about what this does to the company name and certainly don't care about their customers needs. They are sabotaging themselves. People who utilize this kind of business are serious because they are looking for information to protect their family from anyone that might hurt them. Yes I'm willing to pay whatever fees it takes to do that. But, when a business advertises a free or at a discount, the results should be useful information so as to draw the customer in for a possible full package. Because they were happy with what the trial provided. Not because they needed important information yet only got addresses that weren't even correct. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I don't know who you had in charge of the message you want to send people about your business but I'd definitely rethink your approach and not treat your customers like brainless objects. You lack compassion because there are so many people who don't have a lot of money that could really NEED the trial you offered. But they would have lost their $1.00 to incorrect, useless information! Like I said before, Shame on you! Get someone who is more creative and savey to remake your trials so as to ATTRACT customers into WANTING to use your business and they can honestly give you 5 stars and refer friends.

At the "free trial" stage I specifically requested not to be entered for recurring monthly billing. They did it anyway. Okay, I'll try anything once. First search produced useless, general and false information.
To obtain more data requires a substantial upcharge. I don't think so, guys. Not today.

I often find the phone # or address I need, including cell #'s. However I don't like the pushiness on the site to buy more info. Recently I was charged $19.95 for expanded info that I didn't want. The first customer service agent said she couldn't process a refund, however I asked her for a supervisor. There was a longish wait, the supervisor had to call me back, they called during a time that I said I wouldn't be available, leaving a cheery message to call the original customer service "if I had any further issues." Called again, however the second agent was very in the ball, found my account with the earlier notes and was surprised that the first agent couldn't process the refund. She got a supervisor on the line ( after some wait) and he processed the refund with no questions asked. It went through the same day to my credit card. Yes, it was time consuming but I got my money back!

I wanted to do a research search on someone I just met and came across Spokeo website. It stated.95 7 day trial offer and 19.95 after that. I purchased it and when I clicked on more links which I didn't know it was in addition to what I had purchased, it automatically charged me for the "enhanced report" at 19.95. I wasn't able to get my refund because the representative stated I purchased the added amount. When I stated it was misleading and didn't know it was going to charge me more she basically in a professional manner said sorry but can't give you a refund. She did cancel my subscription but now I paid for something I didn't want. Terrible customer service and never buy anything from Spokeo.

Spokeo when you use their site to do a $1 search, without consent start taking a monthly fee of $25 dollars for a service you have not agreed to or instructed. The right to refuse is buried in their terms and conditions even though there is no actual notification that this $1 search is going to be, without consent or agreement charged to your credit cards for a monthly fee. This aspect of their service is basically fraud, their business practice is based on deception, and they should be avoided. This is an expression of my opinion.

I got the free trial and still had to pay to see the results for the number I wanted and the whole reason I was looking was to find out who was calling me and I didn't even get the name I got some bogus results with no name not even the line saying that the person's name was unknown. Just scam and out for your money.

Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
Answer: Three alternatives: 1) Logon with you old Spokeo account and contact customer support. 2) If you can't remember your old logon, 2.1) try a google search to find Spokeo customer service link or telephone number. 2.2) Spokeo has notes on some reviews. Maybe they have included their support number or link? 3) Call Visa and ask them to kill the Spokeo charges to your Visa account.
Answer: Not that I know of but they're slick the moment you put your card info in it saves and if you use something that takes payment they'll charge the card without asking.

Answer: I cancelled Spokeo service due to selling me misinformation or inaccurate information. I got this in writing from David at Spokeo. They are good about sending a letter about we are sorry about not meeting your expectations. Our terms of use states we can do this blah blah blah. After I cancelled this subscription and got this in writing from David, I got a new debit card from my bank. Spokeo found the NEW CARD and charged it. I took the problem to my bank and got a credit. Be very careful of these people, watch your bank statements.
Answer: Elias, query "spokeo lawsuits" on google. There have been numerous cases on this group. Spokeo... if you are reading these complaints, I am wondering how you manage to get around the charge backs and still have a credit card company that works with you.
Answer: Watch for the $20 charge at the end of the month. They say a person is out, then the charge comes a month later. Had to cancel my card and get new # to keep them out of my wallet.
