Ordered 8/24/22 its 9/24/23 and still never received my order, it says shipped and that's all. I paid over 100$
I made a purchase for my son as a gift back on August 24th. Today is the 1st of September and the package is just now being picked up from the warehouse. I would refer anyone to this site nor will I be making any future purchases. It shouldn't take a package over a week to be shipped out. Trying to contact someone is next to impossible and when I signed up for text notifications I have yet to receive any notifications. Poor customer service. The company is clearly about making a dollar but the customer satisfaction isn't important to them. Never again.

I'm generally a patient person. I don't write bad reviews because most places even if I'm mildly inconvenienced, are still pretty decent. This place is so $#*!ed. I had to contact customer service 5 separate times just to deal with a product that when I bought it in store literally never worked. They sent me a replacement and that didn't work and then I had to prove to them that the product didn't work in order to get a replacement. Now they're saying I can't get the product I want because its out of stock, but I also can't get my money back. So I either need to choose something else that I don't want or wait for it to get back in stock (which they have no estimate on how long it will take to get in stock so who $#*!ing knows how long it will take). I just want my money back so I can spend it somewhere else on a better product, but this $#*! of a company won't do that because their $#*!ing thieves stealing my money. I used to like Spencer's, but I honestly don't think I'll ever deal with them again. This is so $#*!ed. I'm out $60 on a product that doesn't work.

I ordered a backpack from the website on a Friday. I paid for Overnight shipping which "estimated" it arriving on the following Monday. The shipping cost was almost as much as the backpack. I understand with the weekend it's not going to be exactly overnight. Get order confirmation, stating that it has shipped, but no tracking available yet, Cool. Monday arrives, no backpack. Get an email with a tracking number. It hasn't even been dropped off with a carrier yet on Monday. Finally ships on Tuesday, expected arrival on Thursday. So 6 Days is overnight now, hmm. I contact Spencer's Customer Service to request a refund on the shipping charges and get told the shipping is expedited once the warehouse processes the order. If its late after that you need to contact Fedex, its not Spencer's problem. Sorry No Refund. FedEx? Why does my shipping tracking number take me to the USPS tracking website? Also it shipped Tuesday and is scheduled to arrive Thursday? How is that Overnight? So basically it will ship when they get around to it, when they feel like it. DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN STANDARD SHIPPING. Take the free shipping if available. They can get away with what is essentially False Advertising by the inclusion of the "Estimated" in the Delivery Date. It's underhanded and borderline criminal behavior, and bad customer service. A complaint for USPS, my package was an hour away from my house on Wednesday, so It could have been here "Overnight" technically, but now its in Tulsa, Oklahoma..., so it looks like Thursday it is...maybe.

I placed an order on 7/27. A week later, it still hadn't shipped. They never got back to me to tell me what was going on. Then last week, I get an email that my package is delivered. Their shipping carrier threw my package in the middle of my porch rather than bring it up to my apartment and the package got stolen. They refuse to refund me my money. Their customer service is something to be desired. Will never shop here online or in store ever again.

The customer service representative is terrible, they don't care about customers, really bad company, will never use them again and will tell everyone I know to go to another company to do business.

Paid for express shipping on a few T-shirts for a concert. 7 days later and still no package in the mail. Delivery is 2 days late which is no big deal, so I called customer support to see if they can refund me the amount I paid for shipping. Explained that I had gone into a Spencer's to buy another set of T-shirts (since the package still hasn't arrived) & that I'd be returning the shipping order when it came in. They were only able to refund a partial of the shipping cost instead of the full amount. When I asked the rep a few questions as to why, she went silent and hung up the call.
Tried calling back again and was on hold for 25 minutes before disconnecting. Not satisfied with the customer service.

Went in and bought some jewelry yesterday and had some help with associate and she assured me that I was able to return it if the jewelry wasn't the correct piece, unfortunately the jewelry was not the correct fit so went in to return the jewelry was met with a rude and very inconsiderate worker who then tells me he is the store manager and that there's nothing he can do about it since it was already open. I then proceed to tell him that I was just in yesterday and what his worker told me prior to buying the jewelry and he continues to look at me like I'm an idiot and does not attempt to help with the problem, doesn't offer a gift card or an anything. And unfortunately the jewelry was the longest length for the piercing I have so an exchange would not have helped ant bit. Finally fed up with the attitude and rudeness the worker is giving me he then proceeds to tell me "I have a stank $#*! attitude" coming from a "store manager" I do not think that was professional at all! And I was being very respectful up until that point, because in no way shape or form a manager should ever say that to a paying customer, especially if he is training his workers to say one thing just for him to say something else! Never going back, 1 customer may not be a lot to a big company but he definitely could've handled that better!

I ordered an online order and the website said if I ordered express shipping I would have the order within 2 days. I am going on day 5 now and no merchandise. When I called, they said their phone lines were not open and to use live chat. They tried to tell me that this is normal for express shipping. I argued with them saying I paid for faster shipping, this is basic shipping according to the order I placed. They continued to argue with me. Very unprofessional. They offered 50% back on my shipping after I clearly stated I wanted all my shipping back considering they lied. I told them Id be giving an awful review and they didn't care. The manager was arguing with me as well then hung up the chat on me. Absolutely awful. I suggest not ordering from Spencer's. I would show proof but I am not allowed to download on my work computer. Very dissatisfied customer

I bought a 2x shirt n they sent a 3x they said it is confirmed that it will be a 2x shipped all three times it was a 3x shipped still wrong size they must have stupid people who can't tell a 2x from a 3x

I purchased a hat for my grandson at Spencer's a couple of months ago. It was the only one like it in the bargain bin. My grandson immediately put it on and was thrilled with it since it had a nautical theme. Unfortunately, somehow it got lost. He was extremely attached to this hat and was very upset. Shortly afterwards, he became hospitalized for a serious illness and was crying for his hat everyday. I searched and searched for this particular hat on my own but was unsuccessful. My last hope was contacting Spencers. It was an angel named ABIGAIL from Spencer's customer service who answered the phone that day. After hearing my story, ABIGAIL showed enormous compassion and kindness and went to extraordinary lengths to identify and try to locate this hat that had been discontinued. She was on an investigatve mission! ABIGAIL called me back before the end of the day with good news. Miraculously, she was able to locate the hat. I am now anxiously waiting to pick it up (and a second one as a backup just in case) and deliver it to my grandson who will be ecstatic!

I ordered product from spencers online. They took my money and has been a week and are still refusing to send me my money back. Shop at there online store at your own risk. They are advertising products that are not even in stick and ripping off customers. I have filed my complaint with the BBB. I will never come back to any of there stores or online. STAY AWAY!

I have never dealt with such a disgusting company before in my life. This company made me pay $45 in overnight shipping only to get the item to it's designation 4 days a later. They refuse to refund me the money I paid for overnight shipping. They had overnight shipping as a service available upon my purchase. Maybe don't have that as an option if that isn't doable for you?! I am not to blame for being a first time customer and finding out you can't commit to your own shipping options. Do not purchase overnight from this company, do not expect a refund, do not expect great customer service, do not expect quick shipping, do not expect commitment, do not expect regard, do not expect ANYTHING. You are better off going in person if you want to shop at Spencer's, but 2 years from now I bet they will go bankrupt which is why they are clenching onto every penny they have. For what it's worth, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Even if they do get over on me by not giving me my refund of the overnight shipping, at least they have a complaint on their record which is more than enough for me.

I use to work for Spencers and I will say I will never shop online ever again and possibly in the store too due to my experience. I have worked in customer service for 5 years, so I understand what comes with it. So I'm always polite and ask how they are doing. The guy who answered my call didn't even say hello, and he just said what's your issue I told him calmly and politely for some reason, I was charged 2 times and I called to try and figure out how/why and to cancel the transactions or see what to do if I had to wait. The guy who answered was so rude, and condescending, and had no phone etiquette. I told him the issue and he literally said this is a dumb reason to call and that if I had a real issue he could help, and he also told me that my issue wasn't his problem and to cancel my card. I told him that I didn't want to cancel my card and he then started to get very loud with me and he said well it's not my fault if you checked out more than one time and that it wasn't his fault I'm so dumb didn't know to work the internet and started to rant on about how dumb I must be.
I would give a 0 for my overall experience if i could with him but for all my other experinces I would say 3 or 4.

RIDICULOUS return policy! I could NOT get a refund since I paid with CASH! Are you kidding me? I even had my receipt. They said " if you paid with credit/debit card we could refund your card. Since you paid with CASH, you can only get a store credit."

I came in looking for a secret santa gift with very specific requirements and asked the employees for suggestions. They were all super knowledgeable and provided multiple suggestions that were perfect for what I was looking for. I came into the Hillside location on December 2nd around 6:00pm and everyone working was so kind and helpful!
Love this store & staff all very friendly.
