You call about all the specials on TV and they could care less if you are a existing customer. Especially when dealing with elderly, most are on tight budgets.
Twice today I was given a two hour window for service. Spectrum was a no show both times. I would not recommend this cable service!
Called and ordered service but was going to be 8 days to get an appointment. The appointment day came and they didnt show up and when I called they said technician couldnt find the house on GPS. We live in city with same address for 30 years. Didnt bother to call us so they have reset instillation time... now the wait time is 9 more days. Going to Direct and 3 of my family members canceling Spectrum and also going to Direct.
I have been with spectrum for years. And I would pay so much money if I could leave. But spectrum is under contract in my area. So I cant even leave this terrible company. The customer service is terrible. I mean. Just terrible. I made the mistake of trying charter business And it was a big mistake. I came back to residential in 3 weeks and months later my account is still messed up! Business and residential are two separate companies and they do not communicate. They do not work together. So you get transferred. Back to back to back to back. That is residential problem. That is a business problem. You can spend weeks dealing with them and get nothing done. Nothing. Residential can see the problem but business has to fix it. But business cant see the problem and will put in a ticket. Weeks later same thing. If you are lucky enough to have options to go to another company DO IT! Run!
Is very uncomfortable that every year I have to change my plan, for the price to be the same, and call multiple times in order for them to not rise my bill, but is never like that. Mostly because the previuos customers can't have the same price of promotion like new coming customers. On television it says $59.99, and my actual bill is more than $180.00 probably more.
Just trying to take care of a modem change out. It's now day 2 waiting. First tech that showed up didn't even know why he was here. Said he didn't have what was needed on his truck and would come back in a couple hours. After calling 3 times and waiting another 4 hours I gave up and rescheduled. Second day: Another call because tech came half an hour earlier than appointment and I wasn't here yet (missed him by minutes). He was supposed to have my number as it was given and no call. Still waiting for someone to show. When you call all they say is "so sorry, I'd be frustrated too."In the end, extremely poor communication with the techs out in the field and poor customer service all around. If this were my house I'd honestly pull their equipment out and go another way.
I called 2 different times and got 2 different people with the same quote amount. I got the bill and it went up. All they said was sorry. Really that's it. They don't care about the customers.
The only reason these thieves survive is because they have no competition. I hear that will change soon, hopefully Ill be the first to say goodbye to these overpriced scum bags.
Be careful when you want get along with them. Terrible service. Alway charge some things on the bill when you dont pay attention
Spectrum cable is the worst cable company I have ever had I had bright house for over 10 years then when they switched the service went down hill. I got a letter in the mail telling me of the pending switch once it finally came I called spectrum to see if I was going to be able to keep my plan and was told I could upgrade to more for less so I did. Jump forward 1 month I get my bill and notice my price had gone up 85% so I call and complain and was told my plan was no longer available. I asked why and to my amazement was told because the JEWS were now running the show and that the day spectrum arrived several bright house associates were running down the hall yelling "THE JEWS ARE COMING" so now I'm stuck with a price I did not agree to. Being extremely angry at this point I decide to shop around. I decided to get the Amazon stick for $80.00 (jailbroken) and no monthly fees and I also now stream sling tv for $25.00 a month for 95% of the same channels I was paying out the rear end for with spectrum. My kids love the Amazon stick and so does my wife everybody is happy and no more hefty cable bills. Switch from cable now and get the Amazon stick and show spectrum that you are in control of your cable
THANKS SPECTRUM FOR RAISING OUR BILL AGAIN. WE WERE PAYING TIME WARNER $130. NOW, WHEN SPECTRUM TOOK OVER THEY RAISED OUR BILL TO $160. NOW ANOTHER RAISE TO $183. WILL BE CANCELLING OUR SERVICE.
Worse thing you can ever get there nothing but rude to my mother in law first let's start off with the fact they didn't send a bill for the past 2 months and when she just called to make arrangements to pay in the morning and they asked how much was the bill and that's when she told them about not getting a bill and shut off the cable and hung up! DON'T GET SPECTRUM!
Ever since spectrum took over time warner the price has gone up, however the quality and customer service has gone down.
If I could give a zero I would. My on demand has not worked for 2 days and they will not give credit as they say it is a nationwide outage. That is not my problem. I am paying for HBO, Showtime, Cinamax, etc and have not been able to watch 2 days now. They say Direct TV bad Spectrum good. NOT! I never had this problem until Spectrum tool over Time Warner.
Do not get this service. Tech showed up 30 min early before i had my tv set up and tried to tell me he would just hook everything up and i could check it later. As if i would really do that. He didn't know how to program mt tv to the remote. He couldn't answer questions, had no channel line up. Told me i had to go online to print it. Never was able to log in. Tried calling for several hours and could never get through. When I finally did, the person transfered me to a line that hung up on me. When i tried the options to cancel service it would just hang up. Was stuck with no way of talking to anyone and no way to log in to my account. All within the first 24 hrs of completely horrible service. Screen on thv was not full picture as it was supposed to be. Please, if you value your time, money and patience, DO NOT GET SPECTRUM!
I cancelled Spectrum after about 3 weeks and waited for my refund. At installing the package on the TV, the installer left, on info on the remote and no guide to the channels. I was charged after installing $173.62. I received a check for $98.63. This was many phone calls and told the check was on the way. Do not believe the 30 day refund, they lie. J. Van Eyzeren
Have been trying to get service since last Sat. Had an appointment for Tues. But it was canceled by them but I was not told. Two of my TV's do not work and I am being told that the earliest they can come out is Sat. The 30th. I have been lied to by just about every person that handles calls. We cannot switch to another company because we live in an apartment so I guess we are screwed. They are only interested in getting new customers so they can screw them too. They raised my rate but cut the service that I get. Please anyone thinking of getting their service don't do it.
Thought I'd try saving a little money when my Directv contract expired and decided to try Spectrum. Already had their internet and phone service since 2001 and was bundled for many years with TV when they were still Charter. What a mistake. Install went fine, but it was at that time I was advised that if I am recording the two-show max on one of the DVR's, I had to actually be watching one of the shows. Not very convenient. Still, I was willing to try it out. Immediate problems. Multiple error codes when recording or deleting programs and the DVR was cutting every show off about one minute before it ended. I would have had to manually alter every recording, if I could find the management screen, to make it work, but then the possibility of conflicts with recording another show the next time slot on a different network could possibly result in the cancellation of the recording. Ridiculous. Took the 30-day money back option and learned that, although I was still keeping my internet and phone service, I was no longer Grandfathered in and would have to pay an extra $6 / month for the service because they "tweeked" my account to bundle my service. Now I have to renegotiate with Direct. Avoid the headache and avoid Spectrum.
I really hate I had to give Spectrum the satisfaction of even one star! Terrible customer service, overpriced, and overrated! Time Warner genuinely cared for their customers. Spectrum is a corporate money making machine and could care less about the little guy. I am extremely disappointed and FINISHED with this disgusting corporate giant. Spectrum is unorganized, greedy and unwilling to honor their word. We are going with another provider, I never thought I would change providers, but I am truly over Soectrum's bullying. Please look around for another provider in your area, you'll see that it's worth the switch!
I relocated to another state. Explained that I would be moving and restoring service. Gave them a forwarded address for my final bill. DID NOT RECEIVE IT... 9DAYS LATER... A $#*!ING COLLECTION AGENCY'S CALLING MY PHONE AS IF I OWED THEM 50 GRAND...
