BILLING

THEY ARE THE BEST AT DECEIVING A CUSTOMER ABOUT THE BILLING. WE STOPPED USING THEM AND GOT A BILL FOR OVER 600.00. WHEN I CALLED THEM THETY SAID IT WAS FOR EQUIPMENT THAT WAS NOT RETURNED. I GAVE THEM THE RECEIPT NUMBER WERE I HAD RETURNED THE EQUIPMENT. THEN THEY SAID I OWE NOTHING. THEN I GET A BILL FOR OVER 81.00 AND I CALLED THE SAID THAT I OWED THAT AND THEY MADE A MISTAKE ON THE EARLER CALL. I WOULD NOT AND CAN NOT RECCOMMEND THIS COMPAY TO NO ONE. I WILL EVAN ASK ANYONE I KNOW THAT HAS THEM TO STOP USING THERE SERVICE.

I called to ask about switching to Spectrum and was disappointed. The CSR interrupted me [Bruce] even after I pointed out that he was doing so. Pressured me to set up service today or the "prices will go up." If this is their "sales" service, I can only imagine how bad their customer problem resolution would be. I am staying with CenturyLink - slower speed, better staff... it makes a difference.

Service sucks

Super slow internet till I got tv service and now its fast. Cable interface looks like the original Nintendo interface. On demand sucks. If you can't get xfinity get satellite.

Spectrum promises to pay you out of your contract with previous cable until they get your business and then uses sometime of excuse why they didn't I hate I ever went to them they are expensive and hard to deal with

Dispute

Spectrum in a dispute over cost and we the paying custom being penalized. Not getting what we are paying for and Spectrum blaming the other party. I'm in the process of signing with another carrier.

Double dipping

Here in upstate NY the state government is helping to fund high speed internet throughout the state and spectrum is not happy to take the cash from the taxpayers but is also dipping into the same pockets of the taxpayers it has connected.
Outdated equipment that fails repeatedly, random dropped connections and ever rising costs for constant poor value service.

Spectrum sucks

To day i was told spectrum no longer negotiates. Which means I have to like my high bill or lump it. They are good at "bait and switch". They offer something for a year then expect you to forget it when they charge you for it latter. They even told me today that they would add $5.00 to my bill to talk to someone. I pay for 2,000 channels and there is nothing on. Call your public service commission!

Horrible agents

Please stop calling me all the time to upgrade my service (free for 30 days) if you double your internet speed, free for 30 days if you get our streaming service. I tried to get off the phone with the agent several times and they do not understand they simply keep saying I completely understand. And assume you will keep on answering their questions no matter how annoying they are. Please leave us alone. The person I just got off the phone with said to put them on speaker while I head to a meeting so I don't have to get off the phone with them. I hung up at that point, I should not have to tell people I am not interested. From now on when they try to sell me something, I am going to try to sell them something back. "Would you like to buy some Girl Scouts cookies from my niece Spectrum? They are really good! I understand you are not interested but if you don't like it, after 7 days you can get your money back if you are not fully satisfied.

Why the hell can't you hire a couple of reasonably decent programmers for your TV box?

Price and offering of shows are very good, but you completely fail at recording programming. Is it really that hard to cache them in an array and read the damn array?

Direct TV does this 100 times better than Spectrum. More so because Spectrum programmers are complete failures. They do not understand Configuration Control and just have no logic. This is the result of hiring foreigners from 3d world countries who's education system is extremely poor.

You need some programming leadership from experts, not cheap kids.

1/2 the time you cannot get the box to set a program to record and the other 1/2 the time when it does set to record, you drop it off and it does not get recorded.

Why the hell are you charging for this crap? I have worked with Jr. High school kids that can program better than Spectrum programmers.

Put your software under Configuration Control, then start fixing the issue. MeTV seems to be an outliner, that never records correctly. That should not happen, as the channel should not be part of the logic.

Rebooting use to straighten it out for a little while, but now it seems to be failing to correct it.
When it comes to recording programs, Spectrum is just discussing.

Come on Tom Rutledge. How about getting your customer's some results here?

Absolutely the worst

Lousy service, no support. Long waits for customer support... and no results if you finally do get through. They'll do anything to keep from talking to you. Suggest you don't waste your time with this company. Go ANYWHERE else for phone and internet and you will be happier.

Trying to pay my bill ($96.00) on line, can't get to site they locked me out, talked w/CHAT, "have to call customer service" Call customer service."you have to talk to sales to pay bill" Don't want to talk to sales. "well you can't pay your bill and get turned back on unless you talk to sales" Okay just cancel my account..."can't cancel your account unless to talk to sales"! Can't believe these thieves... and that's what they are!

I've been usingTime Warner Spectrum for past 2 years. I started with internet service as I thought it would cost me lower to watch my favorite tv channels on roku but they don't offer sports channels, so had to add cable. The bill is affordable around $89.97 each month.

Does anyone know the opposite of Spectrum? Is it lack of quality?. SURE IS!

I've had a chance to read a few... or MANY of the negative reviews on here regarding Charter, AKA Spectrum. I truly believe that they will be the largest negatively reviewed company of the year!

I've had them for 9 years of service. The beginning years were decent, we had working cable/ phone/internet service that was affordable. However, with a slow decline in quality internet service and lack of decent pricing; I have definitely had a huge change of heart.
The latter years came with steep price gouging.

Unfortunately, because of the area that I live in I cannot get any other phone/ internet service, (which is all that I am interested in at this point.)

As of a year ago, they have gotten ridiculously expensive and I haven't had much relief speaking with them on that given issue. The internet loses its connection quite frequently and I end up having to reboot just to get a clearer, more functional signal coming from the modem. I am rooting for a better provider to coverage my residential area.

Still stuns me how little assistance the consumers receive when quality falls short from companies as big as this one... Georgia Power comes to mind! Time to write another rant... on another site...

Worst company I have dealt with in many years next to Virgin Mobile. We transferred service per there number to do so and they charged us for installation $59.95, wifi service $9.99 and first month bill $69.99 when we were on a 1 year promotion of $39.99 and we were only supposed to pay $9.99 for transferring service for a total of $49.98 on our first bill... instead they charged us $139.93, we just had internet at that time... it took 3 days and 4 hours on the phone to get this cleared up. I was told that because they bought out Charter and we moved to a Time Warner area they had no record of our previous account. Now we just made a payment on Jan 27th and they shut our service off on February 11th and said because we are new customers we only have a 45 day grace period... but it has only been 2 weeks? Again tell me we were new customers... this company is crap.

Money grabbers

Since Spectrum has taken over Time Warner there has been nothing but rate increases. Now to watch my second TV in my bedroom, which I rarely watch, Ill have to pay another $11 a month for a cable box. No thanks. Im moving in a few months and switching to satellite.

THIS IS THE WORST CABLE, I HATE SPECTRUM, A BIG RIP OFF, THEY KEEPING RAISING MY CABLE AND GIVING ME LESS CHANNEL, I WISH I HAD ANOTHER CABLE COMPANY TO GO TO. FIOS IS NOT IN MY AREA. TIME WARNER WAS MUCH BETTER. THIS PIECE OF $#*! CABLE COMPANY CALLED SPECTRUM IS THE WORST, I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I HATE THIS RIPOFF CABLE COMPANY. Price increases

Worst provider of all times. I only have their "basic cable". No internet or phone. They raised my price $40.00 last September. In December, they raised it again about 10%. Now, they just raised it again another 10% in February. $144.00 a month! Not even a DVR included in my "package". They tell me that they just had a cooperate price increase. Are you kidding me?! Trump just gave them a 14% tax decrease and they raise me 10%?! Bloodsuckers! No other choice in my area. As soon as there is... they are history!
