Once your year is over you had better run fast. First of all was y install.My wife was told it would be free and she explained we needed 3 extra outlets installed. When the service man came he stated no they were wrong. They are salesman and state anything to make the sale. 600 dollars later I am up and running in all my rooms. Then I was charged 151 monthly but that was for phone internet and also tv with hbo etc.
When the year reached its end all of a sudden it was 238.90 OMG... So for the first year I paid 2652 for there services. And now it goes up!
I get upset call there services explaining they are charging to much. I get I am sorry but... Next I decide to deleting the phone service thing 20 bucks is 20 bucks.The next thing I know my bill went up by 3 dollars?
I call and they state I was getting discounted prices... OMG
My plan is keep the internet and dump the rest since there internet is 69.99 or 89.99 depending on the speed.Not bad.
It appears to me they do not care at all about there regular customers just the new ones they can catch in there net.
May spectrum rot in hell as far as I am concerned

WARNING! Do not subscribe to ANY monthly installment Spectrum Sports Packages via your cable box!
2 months ago, I subscribed to a sports pkg, via Spectrums cable box, for 4 monthly installments. It was easy. No terms of service agreement popped up; just a request to confirm my subscription with my Spectrum pin #.
After 2 months, I contacted Spectrum to cancel my subscription. Immediately my access was cancelled; no warning from the representative that I will still be charged. When I received my bill this month, I noticed the charge was there.
I called Spectrum to request a refund & was denied stating that Spectrum... has a contract with the sports packages that does not allow refunds and refused to refund me for the month without access. I cancelled my entire subscription with the company after being offered a $20 maximum refund (the installment is $85 per month).
Needless to say, Im pretty disappointed with Spectrums decision. Ive been a loyal customer of Charter/Spectrum since 2008.
Since coming from time warner to spectrum the customer service has gotten worst. I spoke with a customer service rep who didn't care, than spoke with a manger who had worst customer service then the rep. Did I mention there prices are overpriced! This the worst company ever!
My phone was telling customers my number had been disconnected. I don't know how long it was doing that. Their tech support had also removed my hunt group capability. They have record of when it all went down & the numbers that were rejected but they will not share with me. When I reported the problem all the phones went down. Their repair technician was scheduled to come do repairs 36 hours after the phones went down. They would not send any techs any sooner. He was scheduled between 4:00 & 5:00 pm on a friday afternoon. He did not come. * pm they called to reschedule. He eventually turned up at 11:45 on Monday morning. My business phones were actually down for over 80 hours. Who knows how long they were not working properly. 20 hours after they were back up they went down again. It had rained & the phones went down. Do you know if you call their corporate owners, Charter, they have no ability to see your account because after a year they have not merged charter computers to Spectrum computer. Spectrum has NO executive escalations. THEY REALLY JUST DO NOT CARE. I have no alternative but to sue. I have no idea how much revenue I have lost due to their incompetence. I am going to have to ask the judge to require Spectrum to give me the information I need.
Spectrum (former Time Warner Cable) really sucks. Their internet service is overpriced, and their customer service is the slowest in the world. I switched to Cincinnati Bell, and I am way happier than with the incompetent Spectrum.
This is one of those times when I can agree with all the lousy reviews. Take notice that almost all are one star. This has got to tell you something about this terrible company. I tried to send them an email by clicking on their link and it never affords me the opportunity. I use the same email address and yet it keeps telling me it can; t find it. For those who are reading these and considering this company, GO ELSEWHERE. Our streaming device will lose the signal quite a bit. I have had to disconnect and re-boot the modem more times that I can recall. And, like others my bill is way too high.
Hmm where do I start? Well lets see first off we always get turned off only after two weeks without any warning or due bill. Second they keep rising our price higher and higher for example the last bill we paid was for 400 dollars and the employee we had on the phone was not even in the US he was in the Philippians. They couldn't give anyone local at all. When we did pay the bill they had told us that we missed three months after the employee said that we HAD paid those months. We have had way to many problems with Spectrum to the point were if someone says they have this company me and my family automatically apologise.
These guys know that most of us are stuck using them so they just don't give a damn. There are no options and they just screw you back and forth. They won't work with you if your life depended on it. They treat new customers better to get you in and then after you're with them for years they SH! T on you. They don't care about their customers at all. If they did then the CEO won't have to make 5 billion a year and they could give everyone their entry rates. I won't piss on them if they were on fire... It's become a monopoly and they have to much power. Also they have more fees than a fat kid trying to fly!
Please explain why, even with price lock guarantee, my statement continues to increase while, at the same time, the services provided by Spectrum decreases. When a call is placed to Spectrum, their immediate answer is to reboot the modem. I've done this many times and still no service. If it weren't the only game in town, I would change services even if I had to pay more!
There is absolutely nothing positive to say about Spectrum. We've had Spectrum for a year and it's been nothing but a headache, always necessitating a call at least once a week. If we had a choice, it would not be Spectrum!
They sent me a letter and other customers that they were increasing our internet from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps double the speed, at no extra charge. Well I can't notice any difference after having the higher speed about a month. Guess when my contract is up in April my internet price will double or shortly after just can't wait to find another company. They all like to play games thinking about going back to free TV, like the good old days, dumping Spectrum and maybe just getting some kind of internet service.
This is how the Spectrum technician left the gear when he found out the salesman had lied to me about the upload speeds being much slower than Verizon. Now I'm stuck with slow upload speeds and until I can go back to Verizon my business suffers.
Previously had insight and now transitioned to spectrum, worst service we have ever had. Loose signal multiple times daily. Cannot get their so called customer service to resolve. Only premium attribute here is the price they charge, poor lousy provider we have ever had
They kept raising prices after they were bought from time warner. Then they said I now had to go pick up a scrambler and pay for each TV. Cancel after 30 years. I am happy to be done with them.
New customers get a better deal them a person that has been with them for 12yrs paid in full every month ON TIME, and all we get is an increase in bill every month. 50 here and there. Call them trying to understand and what they could do for us, and nothing... really wish our valley had a decent cable provider that was not such a rip-off. $147.85 a month. They offer a new customer a $500.00 contract by out, but a good long term customer gets NOTHING...
We closed our account 4 months ago, returned our box, and this slimy, unethical, immoral, company refuses to stop charging our cc on autopay. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THEVES!
The bill has increased $24.00 per month over the course of one year. The internet speed provided is advertised as 100 MBPS. After verifying my speed online I found that my speed fluctuates between less than 1 and 16 MBPS. When a tech came to reconfigure my modem I was told that there must be malware on my computer. I have several forms of antivirus so I knew this was not true. When I pulled out my laptop and showed him the speed was just as slow he tried to say I didn't have a NIC card on my laptop. Another blatant lie. When I called to complain about this and requested a different technician I was told I would have to pay extra for another service call and it would only be granted at the discretion of the technician. This is the worst ISP I have ever encountered.
I live in the Bronx, NY. Yeah and I am TIRED of the Spectrum ads on TV. Why? Because they only serve the high rent borough of Manhattan. Take my advice, stick to Optimum. They are even giving Verizon FIOS a run.
I am tired of my bill constantly going up. They say they do not have contracts, Not completely true they told me I would keep the same price for a year, well here it is 7 months later and it went up. And you can talk to 10 different people, some of them do NOT even have as much on their package and are paying more than I am. To me they are deceptive. Every one with the same package should be paying the same price. Can't wait for another cable company to move into this area, I have been with this company formerly known as CableVision.

Anyway, my experience.
First, it took me about 5 different representatives and 1 1/2-2 hours of wasted time just to get a straight answer of what bundle I would be able to receive (for cable and internet.
Second, after finally giving me a "loyalty" deal, they charge me an additional $7/month for a receiver they insisted I need, while I'm watching TV on a Roku and telling them I DON'T need it. I've gotten the same answer from several rep.'s."That's how Spectrum packages it, so you have to take the receiver." So I've filed a formal complaint with the NYS Public service Commission.
Third, I'm told by a rep. At the local office when I tried to return the receiver that they have a just Streaming Option, as well as another option to just choose the TV stations you want. I call later and am told by a rep., "I don't know why you were told that, those are only for new customers." No explanation as to why, it just is.
Bottom line, Spectrum is a deceitful, morally bankrupt company, that if I had a any other real options, I would be gone in a heartbeat. But the only other internet provider in my area is slow and just as much, and if you try to get just internet from Spectrum, so you can stream, they jack the price up, and I can't get live broadcast channels in my area, even with an antenna.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
