They hook you by saying there is no contract, but once your "Special" is up when you bundle after 12 month, the hikle the price. If you want to disconnect any part of the service, everything else goes up by at least 30%! I couldn't even disconnect the DVR service I didn't ask for because its part of the box - that is the biggest BS I ever heard! So it's either suck up the price and bundle (especially phone which they only use to sell your number to hundreds of solicitors) for a 25% price hike for another year or cancel everything. By the way - their internet service is $69.99 normal price - which you can't find stated anywhere. It only tells you starts at $44.95!
Stay away from their bundles. They are not worth it!

I have called several times regarding my account with Spectrum. The representatives are always telling me a different amount from what I see online. Over the phone each representative tells me a much higher price for their services. When I explain to them that I don't want nor need all 3 services such as TV, internet and phone they always tell me if I don't get the 3 that I will pay more for just TV and Internet. When I select the packages that fits my needs online it gives a lower price amount vs the amount the representatives gives each time I called. It seems as though the representatives for Spectrum TV are trained to scam each customer into paying more for their services.

I am a customer of Spectrum Cable, Phone service and the Internet service. I want to say I left a comment and left a it was a nasty review. If I would have waited until I wasn't upset I wouldn't have left such a mean comment. I recommend customers wait a day before leaving a review. I personally would say they aren't perfect and their prices do go up more than our Social Security but they are in the business to make a profit. I can't speak for other customers. I'm sure the majority may have complaints. Remember most people got on Spectrum because you can drop them if you don't like them without having to sign up for a year or even 2. My service has been a 4 out of 5 and their basic cable is the same. Overall I would give them 3.5 because I did have the complaint once before and they said if I added a cable package I could drop it anytime without a problem. The 2nd time they said I could drop it without recourse and if I dropped it I wouldn't be penalized if I didn't like the new package and went back to my original package. That was what got me upset and it wasn't the end of the world. Otherwise besides the hike in prices they have been good. I would give them a 3.5 but you can either give a 3 or 4 stars so I went with the later.

Frustration

I know I gave a one star rating, but Spectrum has way too many cable outages to warrant anything more than one start. In the last few months since I went back to Spectrum they have had at least five outages. Overall the customer service personnel are friendly, but I don't get the impression that that really care. All I get is... we don't know what is causing the outage, but you can leave a call back number went cable is restored. I know they are doing their job, but even that comment is frustrating. As large as Spectrum is and as much money as they receive from customers, why can't they permanently fix the problem? If I had to do it over again, I would not be with Spectrum.

Service sucks daily

Spectrum is the real EVIL. Time Warner was bad but it went to worse when Spectrum took over. Constantly losing internet, almost daily. Trouble with the guide, DVR playback, seach. They REALLY don't give a sheet. Lost some services when they took over but didn't see the bill go down. OVERPRICED!

We have to reboot our two new spectrum cable boxes at least twice a day.
The most common problem that makes us have to reboot is that after a couple of hours of viewing we suddenly can't change TV channels.
Reboot takes about 8 minutes, which really ruins the experience of what we were watching.
Spectrum service always responds by saying "you most likely have a bad cable, connector, or termination problem".
But it was spectrum who provided/installed/terminated everything!
Including new cable from outside our house to their new cable boxes, new cables to our TVs, and programmed the remotes.
We won't except this poor performance.
We are now pursuing someone/something other than spectrum.

Rip-off company

Lost my payment, have spent over 6 hours over 7 days on the phone with them. Horrible customer service! Say they "can't find my payment " although supposedly they sent notes and emails to their "cash management dept"--who knows if that really exists, sales dept just out for the buck, allowed another non resident on my account who doesn't live here. Who also owes me money (thousands). Spectrum promised me service and never followed through! Check into other companies!

I often watch the commercials because it is all just about an act. It isn't even about your slogan but more about noticing that people aren't obligated to do anything that involves real work. This brings another concern up because the companies who're suppose to be handling things in a professional manner are not. I am going to use spectrum as an example because they always come on trying to dunk on direct television. Spectrum is contracted through your apartment complex which must agree to let them do work in their respected areas. This means if he isn't allowed to do work there that he probably won't tell you and his job is done. Because you are not his first concern at all. Then when you call in wondering what the heck happened nobody has the right information because they are not obligated to tell you anything important. You are more clueless at this point when you get on the phone with them and they're recording your every minute with them on the line.

This way anything you agree to can be played back if you even get these suckers in a court room but somehow the guy who pays out the $#*! for direct television almost seems to be getting the better deal. He seems to be locked in by contracts and paying for his service which is doing well. Little do you know that his provider makes him pay just like spectrum does while they're doing maintenance on nodes that have fallen down off the wire. Oh what's even better than this is that someone like me has to call them out of the blue and be like hey bro your node fell off the wire. I just happened to be walking outside and saw that you're still charging all your customers but you don't care right? Over all grande communications mocks the snot out of them from what I can tell by showing that they're at least balancing out everyone's radio frequency channels. It is even kind of catchy to see the guy balancing out the ballerinas feet with the way he needs them to be.

Every time(about 20+) I have to call in and wait the usual 15 minutes to speak with technical support, the agents are EXTREMELY nice and helpful. Spectrum TV service is however, by far, the WORST product I have ever had the displeasure of purchasing in 41 years of life. It boggles my mind how they are still in business. The constatnt blackouts, having to get new routers, the agents coming to my home and waiting 2&1/2 weeks to get service-still don't know why it wasn't working. I did receive 2 weeks for free(as it should be coz it wasn't working).
Currently seearching for new I ternet and TV provider. Good riddance to a pathetic excuse of quality service provider.

Fast service at their store, great customer support, fast installation and ridiculously fast internet connection! Really good deal for the money! One of the highlights is 30 day money-back guarantee, absolutely no charges!
Had to call customer service 3 times and every time it was a very quick and easy experience. Didn't have to be on hold for hours like some other companies! Everytime got connected right away and the representatives very extremely polite and knowledgable. Haven't had this level.of experience with some other companies.

Watching a movie I dvr'ed off one of the regular cable channels. 20 min into it the current scene cut out and jumped about 10 min ahead - then the movie ended altogether could not get it back. This movie was not taped at the same time another one was (I had to learn the hard way never to do that) Anyway, done with Spectrum. We can't have dish because we're basically surrounded by tall trees but I've been on this review with several other stupid problems and that's it. We're looking into Netflix, Hulu and some others. They don't carry all the channels we want but I can guarantee they won't give us the hassles, frustrations and problems every single day like Spectrum.

And it was replaced with the very first DVR that was made. When I complained and demanded another DVR box equal to the one I had, I was charged a service fee which I filed a complaint with on. I was told it was taken care of in the bill was on the next statement. I am very unhappy with the service underhanded sneaky backbiting and plain out just lied. I will not be a customer much longer

Deceiful, Crooks

Received call from salesman offering streaming service. Said I could give it a try and if I never opened the app or logged in I would not be charged anything. Lo and behold he lied and it turns out I had been paying for the services for three months without knowing. Called customer service and asked for my money to be returned due to the salesmans dishonesty was told there is nothing they can do. What a bunch of crooks preferred when they were Brighthouse. Time to look for another provider.

Bad cable company:

Right from the start, the salesman lied and told my friend who is elderly that she would get cash back in hand if she would switch. A couple of years later, still no cash. His $#*! better be glad that i was not there. This spectrum company is a disgrace to cable companies throughout the world. They are full of lies and deceit.The government(if they still have a backbone) need to investigate and shut them down. Brighthouse was much much better before these clowns took over.
If i was to see any spectrum dealers, i would surely exposed them for what they really are(CROOKS)
