Paying for nothing

We NEVER have good internet service! Tech been out once already, that problem was "water in a box across the street'. Will be calling again. Sucks to pay for something that is useless.

My service was working improperly for over a month cable constantly pixeling and internet going out made numerous phone calls for a tech to come out in which had three appointments that were not met while seeing service trucks drive past my home after over a month they actually came out and fixed service saying that the tech who installed the cable service had used direct tv splitters that were not compatible with spectrum after three hours of changing parts and troubleshooting my service was working properly. Credit to my account was said would be giving in which I had to complain again and they said they would credit me 35.00 for one month which is nothing compared to what I pay for a month if service team leaders have hung up on me promised me phone calls back in which they have not spectrum is built in Hope's and dreams they tell you whatever and do whatever in hope you will keep paying your bill I feel as though if I am paying for a service I should receive it in a reasonable amount of time and it should work if not what am I paying for? VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER SOON TO BE NOT A CUSTOMER

I have now been on hold for over one hour. They have disconnected my first call when "Dan" said he would get me to someone that can help. Called the number listed on TV to call again and it connected me with Mike in NY who said he could help and put me back on hold. I have been to spectrum center twice today to pick up a box and now this. THIS IS THE WORST EXCUSE FOR A COMPANY EVER! They are pitiful and I am sick of their monopoly and the "I don't give a $#*!" attitude! I would give less than 1star but it is not possible

Ever since I switched to them I've had nothing but problems, they have gave me boxes twice that don't work and I'm waiting as I type for them to contact me back about the second box.

Waste of money

Every time we use our on demand service or rent a movie it glitches or kicks us off saying it's currently unavailable try again later and when we go into the movie or show again we can't get into it it just pops up with the same thing. It's a shame for a company that was supposed to be such a big deal is just over priced and doesn't put out quality in any way I hope they get kicked out of NY

Terrible services. I hope the CEO of the company will READ our complains.
Very expensive, the speed is not even close to what I am paying for extended periods of time. Customer service is frizzing cold. Please learn from Amazon's excellent service.

I have Spectrum Internet service w/ 10 Streaming Channels. They boast of a 100Mbps service, but for extended periods of time we can barely maintain a 10Kbps download speed. I thought the days of a 56Kb modem were long gone, but that might be an improvement.

Terrible company
September 1, 2018

The service is terrible. I have to reboot my tv every morning and every evening. Sometimes my remote can not turn my tv off, or change channels or volume but sometimes it works. 2 years ago my bill was 114.00 a month today it is 155.00 a month and I have not changed anything on my service. 38 percent increase and no service half the time. My parents are having the same problems and have received a new box with no better service. Looking for suggestions who do you recommend?

Everyone says they have a deal but no cable company does. Good picture clarity, but not worth the cost. And the demand channel is very disappointing, with the sound going in and out, and sometimes not available at all.

They seem to average an outage every week. The support is so disconnected when it comes to broadband services and yet they continue to hire incompetence.

I live in No Va but also have an apartment in NC. I have a dish in NOVA and Spectrum Cable in NC. Ive lived in several cities and have had service from a number od cable companies and Spectrum is by far the worst. If I lived here full time Id absolutely buy a dish... may do it anyway. Spectrum is THAT BAD! Do yourself a favor and get Dish.

I with I could give them no stars. We use to have charter/spectrum for years. We moved & was told they didn't service the area we moved to. Only to find out they do. So I called to get it set up despite the ridiculous pricing & over priced "taxes & fees" of almost $32. I was told I'd receive free installation, free only for the installer to get here & say we'd have to pay $50 cause he'd have to run wires to one of the rooms that doesn't have any cable wires to it. I told the rep when I was placing the order that the previous tenants must've had direct tv or dish cause the AT&T installer had to give us 2 wireless boxes. When did these people get so cheap & lazy. What's the purpose of a installer no days? What if this was a brand new home with no wiring at all? Install means to install, run wires, etc. if their not going to install anything or try to charge you for what they're suppose to do then they shouldn't offer "free installation" that's false advertisement! They should say free set up! I'm SUPER PISSED!

Thank you Mr. Smith and Josh! Today Josh came out and not only fixed the issue he explained to me how everything flowed, therefore if there was ever another problem i could at the least troubleshoot at the lowest level; I appreciate that. He was quick and understood my frustration. Very professional and very sweet. Also Mr Smith, the director, came out and personally listened to what was going on. Unlike the manager i spoke to Mr Smith simply listened and let me know all would be taken care of. He was also very caring and made me feel my issue was important. Not only did I realize that Spectrum does have people that care, but the ones that do make an effort to take care of customers! Thank you Josh and Mr. Smith! You've turned this experience into a longer relationship with Spectrum.

I switched over to Spectrum earlier this year. They hiked up the prices and they have the worst services ever! I have had to call every week just for the automated system to "send a signal " to the devices. Then I finally got fed up and had a technician come out. Not even a week later everything, phone, cable, Internet went out. I call the customer service as usual and you get the substandard service where they ask you stupid questions like, "is the box on, did you unplug it and plug it back in"? I swear they are obviously not putting money in qualified techs. Then I speak to the manager who made it seem like it was my problem and kept speaking over me until I turned into she devil. I pay almost 200 dollars a month and I can't even get internet at a decent speed! I wish I would have went on here before I got their service. Please stay away from this company! They are the worst ever!

Once again "OFFLINE"

3 to 4 times a week Spectrum app completely crashes, and it's always the same time at night, As I work odd hours this is my free time, and time that I pay for and have for 30 years. When you call they say there is no outages in the area, then when you amp it up the rep says "It's a known issue and technician's are working hard to fix it. Only that is a robot response they are told to use. I have the chat saved where every single rep said exactly the same thing. Then when I complained that a rep took 4 hours to answer me, the next shift rep repeated the "it's a known problem" speech, only the app was not down at the time. They don't even look to see what the problem is. So as I have odd hours sometimes up to 50 percent of my paid TV does not work, Their advertising is a lie, and should be investigated by our representatives and the AG. They are not giving us the service they advertise, and don't even TRY to help or compensate their customers, and their service reps lie. When I call they ask if you are willing to do a survey, I always answer yes, but because they could not help, and not even try to help, they do not call back. Even their survey is fake

This company is ripping off their customers. The worst service I ever had! I pay for the high speed and get the slowest service ever. Doing a Trace Route and find that I am getting sent to 14 different routes each getting worse. Download speed is now at 218... Tech support states that this is a known error that they are working on, however they have no idea when it will be resolved. If you have other options other then Spectrum. Take it. STAY FAR AWAY FROM SPECTRUM. BEWARE!

Just bad

From my 1st experience with them to my last, it was all unfortunate. The customer service is the absolute worst, they over charge for everything, don't have valid explanations for the things they charge for and are just all around conducted unprofessionally. When I called for a billing question today I had the unfortunate experience of talking with a rep who told me "I was a bank manager so I know how all banks work, and this is why you were charged $209.00". WHAT KIND OF EXPLANATION IS THAT?! Thanks for passing the buck and saying it's my banks fault you guys over charged me. That was the final straw for me. Drove back home, got my router, turned it in and then bought Xfinity. Never looking back at Spectrum.

Spectrum SUCKS. The prices are all over the place. I called and canceled the sports channel and they turned off every other channel I watched. I called them back and was like what are you doing turning all the channels I watch OFF, EVERY CHANNEL. I have had to replace cable boxes until I'm blue in the face. Lines out the door to return a cable box. I have been a cable customer for 25 years... Im looking for something better than WORST. What a failure spectrum is.

WHAT A MONEY HUNGER COMPANY: I started with spectrum one year ago. I have there basic tv package, DVR, tier one and tier 2 channels, phone and internet.
Last month was my one year anniversary. I did not know that my pricing would increase. My charges for the 1st year was $142.68 Now they have increased it to $186.78 keep in mind i'm on a fixed income and could barely afford the 142.
So I decided to call and remove some services to get with in what i could afford.
LOL they don't want to talk about lowering your bill.
I wanted to cancel everything and have just the basic channels and Internet they gave me a price of 164.86 a month
PLEASE BEWARE once they have you hooked they stick it to you.
And the customer service reps that gave me the new pricing where rude and inconsiderate
BEWARE PEOPLE BEWARE.

We were completely satisfied with our cable for over 20 years. Now that they have gone digital, it sucks. First they require you to get a box for each TV that you have in the home. Then you have to figure out how to set it up. Now we have to pay more per month for each box that we use. And on top of that, when you rearrange your home and disconnect the cable wire, it doesn't work when you plug it back in (and calling customer service didn't help). So if the goal is to get you to watch less TV, B R A V O. Hats off. It's working. Now we are looking at other options.

After a year of service the are jacking the price from $29.99 to $79.99 got TV, $34.99 to $54.99 and Phone from $29.99 to $19.99.
They should be some legislative gap especially as in my area they have the monopole as Fios is not available.
At least when Brighthouse was in charge they were more realistic with the need of their customers.
