After 12 years with this company I decided to move to a different provider that gave me more speed for less price. The first disappointment came when they started to get me better pricing only after my decision
Then I had to cancel exactly on the closing day, because they don't prorate and I'd have to pay a full month if I extended my contract one more day.
The coup de grace came when they disconnected my service the night before, stealing one day from me
In order to restore the service for that one day they took from new, they wanted me to sign a new contract.
Oh, and don't get me started with the frequent outages in the area.
In summary, after 12 years they mistreated me, gave me a headache, and couldn't compete in price and speed.
SCAM ARTIST! BAD SERVICE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Logging into spectrum is fort Knox! REALLY?! WHY JUST WHY? It's not necessary to be that deliberate, it's just being an AH! This goes right along with Spectrum, doing the MOST to make your life miserable. Customer service hangs up on you, they transfer you over and over and over and each time EVERYONE says, I have to verify your account. Didnt the last person just do that? Yes but now I'm assisting you, so now I need to. So WHY are you now assisting me? WTH man? Just to get Into my account, it took me 2.5 hrs. I live in an apartment complex and we are FORCED to accept SPECTRUM and it costs me $85 a month. Why? I don't even watch cable. I watch ONLY Netflix, I NEVER watch spectrum. Internet I can do, but we don't get that choice. The internet is TERRIBLE! The equipment they give you is crap and they charge too much for it. Returned the modem for internet, switched with my own purchased modem, and the service goes in and out CONSTANTLY! So what they charge all other customers ers right now, is $45. Why am I HAVING to pay $85 a month? SCAMMERS! Chose a better service.
Everytime I call them. I get some foreigner whom I do not understand! I hung up bcz im fed up with these people. Getting another provider or an antenna
I moved into downtown in STL in May 2020. On 5–25–2020, two techs removed one of our DVR boxes as we did not need it. However, they have continued to charge me $10 per month for the box for the last 39 months, a fact I did not discover on page 6 of my monthly bill please fax organized by various Spectrum representatives. They acknowledge receiving $400 for nothing, not paying back because I did not protest the amount of the incorrect bill within 60 days. After experiencing a lifetime of heartache with Charter television back in the day, it is disillusioning to discover that the name change changes nothing. Spectrum is still the worst run corporation on Planet Earth. Disgusting and disgusted. Give me a freaking break. Idiots.
I wish I could give ZERO stars. Customer service is flippant and full of twisted words. Trying to get our complaints and needs heard, but no. They have their policies and there is no give and take. DROPPING THEIR SERVICE TODAY! #neveragainspectrum, #spectrumistheworst, #spectrumarecrooks
Worst company ever, told me all false information no one fixed the issues. Internet modem did not work with all my devices because it has no WPS button. All lies worst service ever. I will never use them again and won' don't recommend anyone to use them. I wish I can give them zero star.
I've called and spoken with numerous customer service reps in the billing department. Spectrum is the worst and unorganized when it comes to resolving issues. Supervisor was supposed to contact me within 72 hrs…no call of course. They are worthless.
We've been spectrum customers for a long time now, & we recently upgraded our cell phones. Number 1, the workers or helpers at the spectrum store is no help whatsoever. They messed up our account. We were paying for 6 lines & all we have is 4. Number 2, the people you call to talk to getting it fix does nothing. They give you the run around. So please tell me how are you supposed to help the customers? The answer is really easy: We're spectrum, let's lie, & take peoples money. Screw you spectrum. Screw you.
Spectrum is one of the worst Internet providers of ever had most the night the Internet won't work when I called to cancel they said I wouldn't have to of money now they're making me pay a month that I'm not with them
The sales agent put the wrong address in the system and couldn't fix it. Had to remake an account and now owe more money because they changed the billing cycle. Customer service agent couldn't help. Spectrum service is the worst. Do not use it at all
Awful, service went out Friday, and when called they can't even get a tech to look at it until the following Friday! Meaning we are out of service for over a week, and I'm sure we will still be charged full price. 4th time in 6 months service has been out for morw than a couple days. Highlys unreliable and will be looking for other service that actually works. Not suprising they are have a 1 star rating.
Ok iv had charter in my home going on 4 years at this location they came and put everything In new. Well iv had tech come out countless times. Needless to say my internet hasn't stayed on and running for a solid 72 hrs without interruption. Iv called and had them come out and iv had all the equipment replaced. To top it all off the last person I spoke with on the phone told me I should purchase equipment from Walmart or somewhere else. I pay like 200.00 a month for TV and internet why should I go purchase equipment from. Someone else. I mean if you know your equipment isn't good why don't you do something about it. I'm sure charter has the money. So I'm trying to figure out Someone I can get internet with cause my security system works off the internet but the internet stays out more than on. When the internet flicker out it disables my security system but if your looking into getting charter please know they not into resolving problems
Spectrum us as useless as Hughesnet. They want to be as good as AT&T fiber but are unable to deliver. But yet they charge as though they are.el
I just had a tech out. He was good. But internet speeds while OK in the morning, are simply dismal in the evening. And their TV plans are garbage, as is the hardware. I will soon cut the cord on that deal. But no alternative for internet service. I'd give them zero stars if I could
We recently moved from California to Texas and canceled our current Spectrum service prior to moving. When speaking to the Spectrum representative on the phone I verified we would not be charged for the upcoming cycle because of the move. I ensured the service cancellation day would not create a new billing cycle, at least that's what the representative told me. Fast forward a month and of course we were charged for an entire month of service while we weren't even in the same state. When reaching out to customer service they keep saying nothing they can do, they can't help that the other representative failed to do his job or refund us for the service we didn't use. Really disappointed in this company that we had been using for years and will definitely never go back.
This is the worst internet/phone/tv provider. You do not get what you paid for and you pay way to much for what you get. All of their customer service team is crap, they will lie to you to get you off the phone cause god forbid they do their job! They overcharge you, they sneak in late fees when they don't exist and shouldn't have been charged! They do not provide any promotions and honestly I don't need to say too much with such a low rating less then 2 you know this is a sad company. I left them and am way happier! Trust me leaving them will be the best decision you have ever made! Later rats
It is bad music! Please change! White Christmas would do! People are getting ready for school, work or church and had rather hear something else.
The Spectrum Internet is fine but, we stream on one TV and it either shuts down, tells us to change the channel in order to keep watching or buffers approximately 2-3 times an hour. If I could give it a negative star, I would.
The service is slow and constantly drops. They have issue after issue keeping the service going. If you have a medical device using the Wi-Fi in your home, DO NOT use their service. If an issue arises they schedule your fix for 2 weeks out. You can explain the medical part and they say we will get someone out sooner, but they never call back and when you do, they have no record of an issue. Poor service and horrible customer service and scheduling. Only fast thing with Spectrum is getting you signed up and sending invoices.
Title: Unreliable and Unresponsive: A Frustrating Experience with Charter Spectrum
Rating: (1/5)
I recently had the unfortunate experience of using Charter Spectrum, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. What should have been a simple and straightforward process turned into a frustrating ordeal that left me feeling cheated and ignored.
Firstly, the most concerning issue was the billing practices of Charter Spectrum. Despite using the service for only three days, they charged me for an entire month's worth of service. This blatant overcharging left a sour taste in my mouth right from the start. Their reasoning for this move was unclear and unjustified, as I was led to believe that I would only be billed for the days I used the service.
Distressed by this unexpected charge, I immediately contacted their customer support, hoping to resolve the matter promptly. Little did I know that this was the beginning of a series of fruitless calls. Each time I called in to discuss the erroneous billing and request a refund for the unused days, I was met with indifference and excuses. The representatives I spoke to seemed disinterested and even dismissive of my concerns, making it clear that they had little intention of addressing the issue.
What added to my frustration was my repeated attempts to cancel the service altogether. Given the disappointing start to my experience, I no longer had any interest in continuing with Charter Spectrum. However, despite multiple calls to cancel, they simply refused to process my request. Each time I called, they promised that the cancellation would be processed promptly, but it never happened.
Moreover, I tried reaching out through email and even social media, hoping to get a response, but all my attempts seemed to fall on deaf ears. It was as if they intentionally wanted to make it as difficult as possible for customers to cancel their service and avoid refunding any payments.
The lack of transparency, disregard for customer satisfaction, and unwillingness to address my concerns make it abundantly clear that Charter Spectrum is not a company to be trusted. My experience with them has been nothing short of a disappointment, and I strongly advise others to steer clear of this service.
In conclusion, I would caution anyone considering using Charter Spectrum to think twice before committing. The combination of overcharging, poor customer service, and refusal to prorate and negligence for canceling accounts makes this service one to avoid at all costs. There are undoubtedly better and more reputable alternatives out there that deserve your hard-earned money and time.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.
Answer: They could give a shit - they create a monopoly in the area and do whatever they want - raise the rate, intimidate, and are very rude and no help to customers!
Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
