DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! First of all, they're a broker company, which I didn't realize until it was too late. Second, the only thing this company "guarantees" is a lot of stress and tears. They got me to book my move with them by acting like they were going to offer me a good deal. I was told by James that as long as I did not exceed 60 boxes I would not be charged more. Then, once my movers arrived, they loaded all of my items on the truck and told me it was going to cost $700 beyond my estimate, and I either had to pay it or pay $1500 to cancel and take my items off the truck. I was just moving my bedroom, 26 boxes and my bed/dresser/nightstands/laundry basket. I was on the phone with them through the entire pick-up process, clearly upset and feeling taken advantage of and Nick advised me to go forward with the move. After I signed off on it I read a bit more of my contract and their website and realized that what they did was ILLEGAL. I was then informed to take photos of everything I signed with the movers and send it to southern guarantee for review, which was supposed to take 72 hours. It took them two weeks after delivery to get back to me, and once I finally got in touch with someone they told me there was nothing they could do since I paid and the move was complete. I have never felt more taken advantage of or lied to. This company wants your money and couldn't care less about anything beyond that, and Sam made that very clear to me. Overall horrible experience, PLEASE DO RESEARCH AND BOOK WITH A GOOD COMPANY WITH GOOD MORALS AND VALUES! If you have already booked with this company, and are just now seeing the reviews, I promise you cutting your losses with the deposit will be worth it.

This company is NOT a moving company. They are a broker. They will hire the cheapest actual moving company to move your things, and have a very cleverly crafted agreement that they believe absolves them of all liability when the movers are horrible. As the broker, Southern takes money up front and there is NO WAY to get a refund from them as they will blame any issues on the mover (or on YOU). In our case, the actual mover loaded half our stuff and then demanded DOUBLE the agreed price or they would not move us. We had to call the police who finally forced them to unload our things. The movers left, Southern claims we "refused pickup" and keeps the deposit. And due to the contract terms, very few are going to hire a Florida-based attorney to go after them and spend WAY more than your deposit on getting a verdict against them. They know this.

DO NOT HIRE SOUTHERN AND DO NOT PAY ANY UP FRONT DEPOSIT.

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY. They are absolutely terrible! They are a carrier and your bill is tripe when movers arrive!

This is their business plan:
First, they quote you a price for your move that is reasonable. You pay them. Then they will call you back two weeks later and increase the price. They will tell you that if you don't pay, they'll keep the money you gave them before and won't get to move.

Then comes the fun part. They outsource your move to OTHER scammers that increase your price double. They'll make up some excuse that you're "breaking their terms". My price increased from 4,000 to nearly 8,000.

Then, when they get to your home a month or so later, most of your furniture will be broken and they will increase the price AGAIN. They won't give you your things unless you pay them double.

I had a police officer there so when he started talking about doubling the price again, the police came around the corner and he suddenly "changed his mind". If you call Southern guarantee during this, they will outsource your calls to India.

I forgot to add, the second and third companies they send you to ONLY accept money orders so say bye to proof of purchase or a refund.

Our experience was like the rest. They quoted low and happily took a deposit. A few days later we confirmed inventory with photos and surprise, the estimate went up $3k. We reluctantly agreed and gave then a second deposit. The movers delayed a few times and eventually arrived on a Sunday afternoon with a car hauler. It wasn't exactly the 26' moving van they said we would get. By the way, a trailer will not make it to our new home because of the switchbacks and they knew that. They even said they looked at Google Maps to confirm. When asked, they said the trailer is just to shuttle our items to a semi and if I needed a shuttle on the other end we would have to pay. They wanted $4.4K more than we previously agreed and said it would be $6k to unload. We sent them on their way because we didn't want to pay $15k to move a 2 car garage. We tried to get a refund since they broke the contract many times in our minds but we're told we actually broke the contract when we refused to pay more money.

I can even express how much we feel scammed out of $3200. Please listen and find someone else. We're happy to join any Class Action suits that are out there.

Please see photos. I paid for a 342 CBM move through southern guarantee, which they contracted out. Once the contracted movers arrived and loaded up 2/3 of my stuff they tried to tell me that I had reach the contracted amount and that the additional items were $700 dollars more to send. I asked them how this could be that amount given the size of the truck and they told me it was. Then I measured the truck, which was was an 8x8.5 ft truck. That meant the amount they said I filled was only 200 CBMS and I was owed another 140 CBMs. When I called them on it we got into an argument. I called southern guarantee and they told me there is nothing they can do. I then had to pay $1500 to have them off load my truck because I did not trust them to deliver my stuff and not try to overcharge me again. In short I paid for the entire move and ended up having to move all the stuff myself.

Today 01/30/2023 this review is everyone not to choose this company. Our inventory entered was completely wrong placed by Greg, we informed him he said he will edit by the time I sign the contract. My estimate number was ******* and they charged 893.00$ in advance fully charged 2000$. I called them on 25th to update inventory and show them inventory was error, service department stated quality Assurance department will give us a call on 30th or 31st of January. Tyler Hansen from quality Assurance had sent me a text on January 26 stating he will call me on the same day which he never gave me a call. I called him every day he never answered the call. I called service department today again to let them know that I didn't receive any call. They stated Tyler had given me a call and I stated there was no change to inventory, which never happened. The service desk people where not ready to help and they said they can't do anything. They wouldn't even give refund on the advance we paid. Don't fall in the hands of this people. Never trust. Below I will add the text message they did. Please record your calls for your safety. Which we have done. Even before moving their service is very bad. So think about their service itself. Our money is gone but please this is for each and every one who reads this review

No problems with the move. Jonathan and Roman were on time and uniformed. Everything went well during the packing and loading of the move. I couldn't imagine a better service!

The packages are all opened, and I wanted to express my gratitude to you and your staff. You restored my faith in moving companies, and I would gladly suggest your services.

Do NOT USE Southern Guarantee Moving & Storage because they are a criminal organization that purposely misquotes their moving fees to scam their customers out of their deposits. When the driver actually shows up after multiple rude conversations and lies about when he would show up, he takes a stand that Southern Guarantee Moving & Storage didn't estimate my moving right price and refused to take the items listed on the inventory. I had 50 boxes, 2 dressers, 2 nightstands, a cedar chest, a file cabinet, and a TV stand on my inventory in 2 different locations. The driver said wouldn't take any of the furniture and only said he would about a third of the boxes in one location even though the contract stated he needed to pick up items at 2 locations. He demanded more money and said this was Southern Guarantee Moving & Storage's fault. Southern Guarantee has $1066.00 for no service. Congratulations to them on their successful scam. I hope they go out of business and refund my money. They refuse to and said they are keeping my money and said this is my fault.

Other companies charge extra for similar services, but there were no issues throughout our relocation from TX to NY. The whole moving staff was competent and welcoming. Anyone looking to move should contact Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage.

Our movers were wonderful! They were prompt, courteous, and efficient, and none of our items was broken during the relocation. Fast and efficient, I will be recommending them to anyone I know who needs movers. I'm overjoyed.

They arrived 15 minutes early for our scheduled time, assessed the furniture that needed to be moved, and got to work immediately. One bedroom set, two sofas, one accent chair, a dining table, and a TV stand all required moving. It took them 3.5 hours, and Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage arrived without mishap! We will always count on this team for our moving needs!

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage is outstanding! The movers make moving simple and effective. Additionally, their moving costs are fair. I had a week to move in because I was moving from the NC to the NY. I didn't have to worry about anything getting stolen or lost. They arrived on time, quickly picked me up and moved my furniture to my new home. For moving requirements, this business is the best!

Incredibly, the four movers we hired were able to help us relocate two families in only two days. High degrees of civility and helpfulness were routinely demonstrated by Miller and Max. Our group of four men is the finest choice for this task. Nothing was broken or lost. Regarding this portion of the transfer, I was pretty apprehensive. Clever and highly efficient, we will be recommending your business to everyone we know.

Just wanted to spread the word that my sister's relocation went without a hitch. The three movers were pleasant and did a great job. We were happy with how they performed. Even though the relocation was finished early, the lads made sure everything was in order before leaving.

Upon my initial phone contact to Max, he promptly set up an appointment for me. My team was excellent people I could trust to do their best no matter the situation. Excellent work; strongly suggested.

Peter works hard to complete the move in one day. I've moved three times in the past few years, and I can say for sure that these movers were the most efficient and well-prepared for our huge home. They did a wonderful job, which made me very happy. Was well-wrapped, so neither the wall no my furniture got damaged. The truck was parked so professional even no one in my area was disturbed by them. My mom was very happy with them.

We are happy to report that our relocation with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage went off without a hitch. Since the movers were well-trained professionals, we had no worries about the safety of our possessions in their hands. My family has decided to recommend them to other families.
