Went on the socialcatfish website ( www.socialcatfish.com) to attempt to have my information removed
As per there privacy policy i did the requested steps ( including the options stated of what i was asking to opt out)
Gte confirmation email, click that and end result is " my ip has been blacklisted" and they will not do anything so i go to there contact us part
Has vasrious options to choose as for the reason ( would assume would go to the right person and or deptartment)
Explain what happened
Get a reply from *******@socialcatfish.com telling me basically there just a ( in my words) a tour guide and do nothing
And proceed to tell me to do the steps i already did
There was no let me pass this or send this to right person or anything like that
If my "ip is blacklisted" how am i on the site?
What does that even mean?
Do they not follow there own privacy policy?
"A complete waste of time and money. Do not trust the 'results found' screen!" RUN AWAY. Dont trust them.
Since beginning of Dec. 2025 I have used the opt-out feature MULTIPLE times and emailed them constantly. They acknowledge my emails and opt-out requests. I check my profile and it's gone for a day, and then back. I have screenshots of this. I've never had any issues opting-out with other data brokers.
Based on reviews, I thought socialcatfish.com was safe, but my experience was awful — $1.99 trial turned into $49.99 theft.
I cheed reviews about socialcatfish.com and they were right — awful experience. $1 first, then $39.99 without any notice.
I saw mixed reviews of socialcatfish.com and still tried it. Terrible experience - $1 offer turned into $39.99 charge instantly!
SocialCatfish reviews are true — I paid $1.99 first, then got hit with a $49.99 charge later. My experience was extremely disappointing.
Based on other reviews, I should've avoided this. Paid 1$, but then socialcatfish.com took 24.99$ more. Horrible experience.
According to my experience with socialcatfish.com, they trick users with 1€ payments and later take 49.99€ without consent.
I attempted to exercise basic privacy choices on SocialCatfish (delete my profile, opt out of sale/sharing, and suppress re-ingestion of my data). I followed their process exactly, submitting via their web form with the specific profile URL. The site then misclassified my submission as "third-party" and refused to process it. After repeated good-faith attempts and emails (with safe, redacted identity verification), the company responded that my IP address was blocked and that they only allow two "data-related" requests per year from the same IP address. They directed me to try from a different IP or wait twelve months, and declined to process by email—despite the form failure. This created a closed loop that prevented resolution while my data remained posted. This pattern aligns with hundreds of negative reviews on Trustpilot describing other issues—especially billing complaints about $1–$1.99 trials that are later followed by $24.99–$49.99 charges. These are recent and numerous, and many use the same language about unexpected post-trial billing. Why this matters: A company handling sensitive personal data should provide workable, good-faith methods for consumers to exercise deletion/opt-out—not block first-party requests by IP, impose arbitrary request caps, or force consumers into malfunctioning channels.
My review of socialcatfish.com is terrible. Paid $1.99, then $24.99 vanished later. Worst experience and no proper refund option.
The reviews for socialcatfish.com didn't warn me enough. My experience was terrible — $1.99 payment turned into a $24.99 charge.
Based on my reviews of socialcatfish.com, it's a scam — I paid 1 euro, then 49.99 euro vanished from my account.
Socialcatfish.com reviews don't lie — I paid 1 euro, and soon 49.99 euro vanished from my account...
Reviews don't tell truth, my experience with socialcatfish.com cost 49.99€ from 1€, avoid. Scam service.
Reviews are misleading, my experience with socialcatfish.com was awful, 1€ became 49.99€. Socialcatfish.com tricked me
My experience with socialcatfish.com matches other reviews: $1 upfront, hidden €49.99 later. Dishonest.
Reviews of socialcatfish.com prove my experience, $1.99 became €24,99 unexpectedly. I regret signing up, $1 deal ended with $39.99 taken, support never replied to me.
Reading reviews of socialcatfish.com shows a pattern, my bad experience was losing €24.99 unfairly..
My review on socialcatfish.com: paid 1$, then 49.99$ taken, worst experience ever. It looked cheap at 1$, but they secretly took 49.99$, this site is not trustworthy.
Answer: You are inviting your own data to be harvested and your money to be wasted if you spend any time on this worthless website ran by sub-70 IQ "people"
Answer: Nice response, bot. The grammar is even better! Very well done.
Answer: I just Go to google. Select social catfish, fill out the payment section and than click select photo verification! It uploads and in minutes you get peace of mind for a very small fee! The results are fast and it'll show you everything that this person has been doing online: social media, businesses, dating websites, it'll tell you which ones, when where, you can even go look for yourself if it's who you think you were affiliated with. It shows other sites, and social catfish will tell you who they really are, should you select that option. It also tells you all their aliases that are found online. So you'll know what kind of people your dealing with from day to day…. Especially if dating someone. It doesn't matter if you meet in person, at work or through Friends or Family. Or if you're meeting them the good old fashioned way. Online. Lol. But seriously it's always good to know exactly who you are dealing with. I'd check everyone the Uber driver, your banking investor, babysitter, handyman.simply put... Anyone!
