Terrible experience with perms. I've had them for 50+ years! Had one in December of 2022. Fallen before I got home. Pin straight. Ok, could have been a bad perm itself. It was their last one. Checked in when there and called and no perms. Finally got one from another store I believe. But, got another perm 3 weeks later. Still 90% straight and will NOT hold a curl. With tip, paid $77 to have no perm. Also what do I do now? Where do I go? Can I have another perm? Very disappointed.

I went to this business to get a perm I asked the the stylist her experience and if she would look at my hair to see if it would work. I was very hesitant but felt safe. I went in and she did a few things to my hair before she permed it and then she checked it reroll it and let me sit even longer. She started to unroll the rollers and she looked a little uneasy and said my hair felt like cotton candy. Prior to this she said a lady came in the day before and she tested her hair before she permed it. Needless to say my hair was rinsed and dry and broken and burnt all the way up to about 2 in from my head when my hair was below my shoulders. She started cutting out the dead areas but you couldn't comb it so all she was doing was just cutting little chunks out of it. I immediately went into shock and just asked her what she was going to do about it. She called and manager at another store they informed her to give me a product and to come back in for a treatment or something. Nothing happened, I called another store and spoke to a manager and they told me that they would have to look at it I don't have time to drive around all over town to get my hair fixed when this should have never happens. Anyone that is experienced or has 40 plus years of knowledge allegedly should have never done anything like this to my hair. I have emotionally went through so much and just the last 3 days I can't even imagine what the next six or eight months are going to look like. I highly would recommend not going to this salon. I'm reaching out to an attorney today to file a claim due to mentally what this is done to me as well as the whole issue with burning my hair

This was my first experience at SmartStyle. I had heard good things about Devin's skills and booked. I have tried several local stylists but I can never get my hair to do much of anything after I vet home. I like low maintenance but my hair is thick and it grows really fast. It never parts where I want it to. Devin listened to all my concerns. He told me about several options and explained everything to me. He thinned my hair to get a lot of the weight off and then showed me ways to add body. He showed me how to get the look I want with very little required effort. It was a great experience! I will be back!

$38.00 for a dry trim when I book I was told 24$ Manager insist on charging for less than 10 minutes trim VERY SAD I am a senior.

I had no choice but to find a different salon.i tried to phone and make appt...but the phone would ring once and disconnect. I drove to Walmart to make appt.and tell my problem.l was reassured problem would be solved. I needed to change appt
2 days later.same thing.again l drive there.tell story again.same deal A few months go by l need a haircut again.this happens.l continued this for 14 months with no change.it was insane.it is still like this today with no solution.This was the Listowel location

This review goes for the Smartstyle in D'Iberville Ms. I was told when I came back the service would be discounted to $55.00, but when I went back for the service. Not only did the manager not honor the discounted price they raised the price from a regular $76.00 to $94.00. This is ridiculous.

$40 for trim and French braid.
Maria did my child's hair. Double price and wrong braid. We arrived early. Hair dresser stopped to help 3 other people during our appointment and blamed us for short 2 minute indecision about whether it would be just a trim or with a layer. Didn't have time for shampoo. Not sure if double booking or no front desk help. Cut was even.

I went in on the 3rd of September to get my hair colored and my kiddos hair trimmed. They are great when it comes to trims and cuts. I wanted my hair to stand out in color like the picture I showed them. Yet I get told that using blond would turn my hair pink and then was showed the closet colors they can use to match what I wanted. I paid $183.00 and you can only tell the dark was added to my hair not the blond nor red show up in my hair unless I'm in direct sunlight. That is a lot of money to spend and not get what you wanted done let alone sitting there for 2hrs. I wanted the bright popping color in the screenshot picture and the dark colored hair job is what I got for $183.00 2hrs of sitting.

My girlfriend went to Smart style salon which is located in Walmart but is NOT owned by Walmart. I think Walmart is a great place to shop in! Smart style is NOT! It is owned by Regis Salons. She went to the Smart style in Englewood Florida. Amy is the manager there. Amy said she was the youngest person ever to make management she is 23 years old. Of course my girlfriend had a sinking feeling that this might not end well! Amy never checked the foils so when the egg beater timed went off she yelled ok your done! My girlfriend's highlights turned BLUE! With orange in the middle and platinum ends! Long story short. My girlfriend's hair was so damaged she couldn't get a comb through it. She had to use so much extra virgin olive oil just to be able to comb her hair! She lost handfuls of her hair! She lost half the head of her hair and this was in August of 2021 and she is still dealing with the damage! I just want to warn people to please NOT go to any Smart style salon I don't want anyone to EVER go through what my girlfriend went through!

And full price.and they don't reply for me to get haircut fixed. Now I have to spend more money to get it fixed elsewhere

So excited to get a Redken product 06 that has been discontinued. Was able to purchase 2 bottles & get my mousse all with a discount. Great salon!

Went in to smartstyle, Walmart Salem NH. Made an appointment with Ellen best hair color and trim ever. I will continue to use Ellen

I went to smart styles in sherwood, arkansas at walmart and Emmy done such a wonderful job with my hair. Even though I have fine hair she still knew how to make the style I wanted look amazing and it still does to this day. You want a great environment and friendly people go see Emmy.

Lori in the East York, Pa store is the best! I am so happy with my hair. Best cut I've had in years!

Lorri Thomas, is great, we always go with her when we are in town, she is the only one my husband lets cut him hair…
We are very satisfied with her work and has a great attitude and always happy to see us. We will keep going to her, I always recommend my friends to her. Smart style has a keeper.

I just moved here back in November and I needed a haircut badly. So I came to smart style here on central. I first used Mike but he could do eyebrows even tho he give great haircuts I switched to Lori Thomas she always fits me in right away. I've been very sick for several years now Lori takes time to listen to what I'm going through with my health and not only does she cut my hair great I've noticed she listens to all her clients and she treats us like family. So if you need a good haircut ask for her she will hook you up. She also does eyebrows and to me that's a plus. Again if you need a great hairdresser go to Walmart smart style on central ask for Lori tell her Jax sent you. You can't go wrong with her or any of the ladies that works there.
