I have been satisfied with SiteJabber so far; they seem to be a straight up outfit. I have only been with them a couple of months, but I have spent a few hours or maybe a bit more on here, reading other folks' reviews.
I have found them to be pretty good reviews overall. As usual, the quality of the review depends entirely on the quality of the reviewer, just as the forums of the New York Times read a lot better than the forums of the Daily Caller.
We are all only imperfect humans and it is not just a function of the intelligence of the person as much as it is a function of how logical, thorough, and comprehensive their thinking is. (and most importantly, how honest) The caliber of the folks here seem to be good and I have learned quite a bit thanks to their sharing of info.
I continue to rely on Sitejabber for good quality and trustworthy info and hope to be a good citizen of this site and do honor to the original mission they have set before themselves. I personally thank them for providing this venue.

Profile privacy: The ability to decide if only SiteJabber users can view your profile, or the whole Internet

Site handler (http://www.sitejabber.com/users/[First Name]) should NOT be generated by your real first name, you may choose from what's available, or randomized. I came from Europe, we take privacy a little more seriously here.

The filter displays my rating to the public or not, based on 'language use.' Now I'm not a native English speaker, meaning, I start with a handicap?

I WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THIS SITE HAS VOTE ON BEING DEPENDABLE. I HAD VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH ROSEGAL.COM, RESOLVED IT BUT WOULD HAVE LOOKED IT UP ON HERE FIRST. BUT I DIDN'T HAVE IT THEN.SO KUDOS TO YOU AND KEEP UP THE FINE WORK YOU DO.

I wrote a bad review of Stylewe.com. If not for SiteJabber, I wouldn't have heard back from this company at all. I couldn't access my account nor could I locate my order. Once I placed a bad review on this site, Stylewe couldn't contact me fast enough. Once they gave me the instructions to return the item for a full refund, they emailed me asking me if I would remove my "bad" review. I told them not until I got the refund. Well I got the refund so I was only out the cost of shipping ($6.95) so I still stand by my negative review of Stylewe. Thank you SiteJabber. I will use you again and search your site before using an unfamiliar company again.

The widget that shows the community rating whenever I visit a site has been very revealing. That alone makes it so quick and easy to share info in a community for web review. This is much faster and easier to navigate than a Yelp-style site.

Today, I left a review with SiteJabber. I clicked the "Review" button to leave a review and there was nothing there about me eventually needing to give away my precious email address. I spent a good amount of time crafting my review and then when it came to submit it, I was put in a corner where I had to provide my email address. I don't want to give my email address out, and I shouldn't have to simply to leave a review. So I felt deceived and conned by SiteJabber. Again, just seemed like another way of snagging email addresses for spam reasons. It's unacceptable. So I left fake details and the review was posted anyway. So, the purported reason for asking for the email address is bogus because it's so easily circumvented, and anyone giving their real details has done so unnecessarily. SiteJabber, change your policies, this is a joke, and very unprofessional.
