Wake up ready to watch college football to find out ESPN had dropped Sling. Sling's customer service is non existent at this time. You cannot talk to a human and the website does not let you change the package. A total failure.
Not even 24hrs later, it suddenly says I need to log in and my credentials are incorrect, yet same credentials on my cell using WiFi works just fine. Tech support gaslit me (I'm in tech) and told me that it's my internet. I told them every other app works, it works from my phone, my work laptop connecting to work VPN no issues and that credential issues have nothing to do w Internet. They still continued to gaslight me and would refuse to help me or even give me a timeline of resolution. Every time you log into it, you have to sign in again. If you reboot your streaming service device, you have to relog in again. It's ridiculous! Cancelling not even 24hrs later.
I tired Sling for a month, it wasn't for me, I couldn't get any of channels I liked, even upgraded to Premier service, I'm huge NFL fan, just prescribe to NFL+, this service is great for Lantio Community, most of the channels I never watch, so why pay 50 dollars, when I couldn't access my favorite channels, maybe adding local channels, HBO, they have Showtime, but everyone streaming has Showtime, it's not bad, but with the upcoming fall shows, you want to be able to watch, now everyone is offering streaming, it's the future at a low cost, no contract, people are leaving cable, but leaving to streaming services that offer everything.
This service is terrible. It often goes into a spooling mode that sometimes won't clear for severs hours Loading the service is at times like pulling teeth. Often it takes 2 or 3 attempts to get past the sling logo. When commercial comes on often you have coax it back to show by switching to a different channel for about 60 seconds then try to re-establish your desired channel
I have experience the same channel replaying a show I just finished watching. There is also a problem with consistent audio. The audio will time out and the come back on which is totally distracting and watchers lose cohesion of the show. I will cancel this service in the next day or so.
I only wished I had read the reviews before subscribing to SingTv. I signed up on 9/14/22 at 8:33 pm and canceled the same day at 9:33 pm. They billed me for a month the next day. When I contacted them, I was told refunds are not available even though I only had the service for 1 hour. The reason that I canceled is because the service sucked. You can't just pick shows and add to a list to be watched later. You had to watch when it came on and of course I was not able to rewind, fast foward, or pause what I tried to watch. Also, on the page where you sign up said you have 3 days to cancel before being charged. Even trying to set up recording to the DVR service didn't work. I contacted their customer service and was told that was not on their website and I couldn't receive a refund. I want to warn others before they fall victim to this service. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO SLINGTV. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Burea
I am a Brit on vacation in the US trying to watch F1. Sling TV was recommended as the best way to do this. I created an account, signed up to "Orange" and loaded the app.
However, all the app does is try to connect to my Sling Box which I don't have. The blurb says just use the app to connect on line and you're good to go!
In the first place, the app is not compatible with Safari 15, so I used Chrome and that doesn't work either.
So after paying for a month's subscription ($17.50) I cannot access Sling TV!
It's a ripoff!

They lied about what channels I would receive, then they wouldn't give a refund. They are absolute FRAUDS!
The biggest rip off I've seen. They claim their price of $50 per month is the lowest price for cable. What they don't tell you is it takes 10mb of data every time you watch It. Hulu uses 1mb. True hulu is more per month but in the long run if you watch sling every day your bill would be $1000 per month. These people should be in prison. Better yet let God deal with their deceit. Karma is a s. O. b.
Crashes all the time. This app on the TV just stops suddenly all the time. You can only watch TV for about an hour before you look up and the app is closed. It's nonsense. And a pain. This is way too expensive for this to be happening
Terrible technical support and quality…I tried to sing up and watch a football game…I could never get my devices to connect…. After 45 minutes I cancelled and they billed me for the month…. Tried to contact to dispute and get no help…. They just said sorry you prepaid and it will expire in 30 days…. My bank stopped the card payment…I would not ever use or recommend Sling…
Stay Away... yes it has improved over the years but the streaming service still freezes and gives you the circle of death or pixelated images. If you complain to them about the service, they will ALWAYS tell you its not them its your internet provider... really... I have top of the line fiber internet and it still gives me the circle of death or pixelated images (see attached image of my internet speed test at the time of error. I am so fed up, I needed to write a review and tell people. Stay away

I'm over it! Y'all don't hold your end! Every week yall mess up my recordings. Where I literally have to wait 24 hours for it to come available on demand! No, customer service, nothing! A waste of money!
The comparison between this app and youtube tv is night and day. They don't give free trial and when asked for a refund--they refused. Don't use this service!
Aug 25,2022. Went to cancel my account today. I could not do it through the website. You cancel, it then takes you to a question page of why you cancelled. You answer, and then are looped back to the question page without confirmation of anything. I had to "chat" with someone online to actually cancel the account. I also had to "chat" with someone to remove the credit card information. You google and find a video that calls for changing your browser and browser settings, This reminded me VERY MUCH of what happened to me many years ago with comcast over the phone (will not let you cancel without answering questions). Also, opinion now, their programming is crazy overpriced unless you like specific types of sports.
I live in North County San Diego. Sling blacks out sporting events from Los Angeles and San Diego. LA is more than 100 miles away. San Diego is more than 40. This is ridiculous.
The service operates about 30% of the time over a 2 month period. I spent 2.5 hours with customer service and it wasn't fixed. It ended with them sending a report to the developers. They offered no credit. My account is set up to cancel on 4 days, which they acknowledged. So they know it hasn't worked and won't work and still don't offer a refund. They're a horrible company with spotty service who will rip you off.
Started up for second time. They mention monthly amount, but got charged yearly amount on credit card. They also write CANCEL ANYTIME. This is where the deceit comes in. One can cancel, but they will not refund your yearly payment so you are stuck making that yearly payment. I WAS TOLD THAT YOU CANCEL AFTER ONE YEAR OF PAYMENT. Customers beware.
So I decided to take sling up on its free tv until 8/20/22. On the page where you check out it gave me the rundown on charges that will occur after the promotion. I was charged right away and did not receive any free viewing days. I immediately contacted customer service and was told I was not qualified for a promotion even though the checkout page said amount after promotion. I then asked since they took the money already can they just change the billing date for the next month, I was told no, and was hung up on by a rude customer service representative. I feel I have been scammed at this point. It's not sling tv it's scamtv. Best to stay away.
Unless you have a Fiber internet for free or some always high-speed internet that is free you will HATE any online tv company.
THAT is the BIG scam about this one and all the rest.
I have high-speed for 3 days and then drops back to dialup speed for the rest of the month and that is on Hughes satellite which you would think would be FAST every day and a fair price... but it isn't so why would you want to waste time with Sling or any other online tv?
Bad enough trying to watch one short music video on Youtube let alone tv programs.

Answer: The ROKU rocks! Just avoid SLING TV at all costs. When they rip people off the FCC will not make them give you the money they owe you. The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
