Needed a bit of help on my WP staging setup. Once I was in chat, he was able to clearly explain what the misstep was and how to remedy it. Good communication is always important with technical issues and appreciated this for my problem.
Support from SiteGround is available when I need it. Response, escalation and resolution is quick each time.

With 100% consistency, customer service has been excellent with as has hosting speed and performance. Oh my gosh... I was struggling with a site issue for a couple of hours. Dropped a ticket to SiteGround support and the error was resolved in less than 2 minutes. Wow!

I was having some difficulties on renewing my office Website and so happy the support team guided me through to get it done. Pheeewwww... thought I would lose all my office website data.
I had issues logging in to my site. I did not want to mess things up. So I contacted support. He was very patient and told me what to do, step by step, until the issue was fixed.

It didn't take long for the support person to figure things out and have me all up and running again. Not surprised. I rarely have any problems but if I do they always figure things out for me and are very patient, friendly, and professional. Is one of the reasons I have been with Siteground for many years.
The technical support girl( Diana) gave as much as possble all the informations. She spend all the time with me on chat to solve the problem.
Siteground carelessly migrated our site. It's been down for hours. SSH which we use for backups, remote mysqls all are gone. IN addition, they switched our A records to default. The worst part is they don't even care. I've chatted with some support and they just"advance a ticket" to which I wait an hour to get a 1 line answer and a link to a tutorial. No real help. This is so horrible if you own a business and they mess up your site during their "aintance"
Answer: There are certainly many other hosting companies out there, some of which appear cheaper, but there is a difference between low cost and good value. I have not found a hosting company that is better than sitegound
Answer: Legit and very good (and only getting better). I've been with quite a few other hosting companies and each time it's been a nightmare. Siteground saved my sanity.

The SSH connection issue was caused by the new, more secure naming convention of your root folder in Site Tools. As the reported issue was beyond the expertise of our chat operator, he opened a ticket, so that your case could be examined by a more experienced technician. Regarding the remote MYSQL issue, it turned out the website had to be reconfigured to use the correct website URL. We are glad to see that all the described issues have been resolved via the ticket.
