The dress doesn't Fit. The dress was the WRONG COLOR. The zipper keeps getting stuck.
I shop almost exclusively online. When it come to clothes I know that one must be careful because it almost never looks like the picture and often doesn't fit according to the size chart.
HOWEVER... I went all around town to 6 different stores and was unable to find anything even remotely close to what I needed for an event. So I turned to the internet. I'm a first time shopper at this website. NEVER again.
They charge fees all over the place to return or replace an item that is A.) defective since the zipper doesn't work B.) doesn't fit according to the size chart.
If I exchange it for a new one in a different size: FEES. If I return it: FEES.
NEVER AGAIN! I wish there was more I could do about it other than write a review. But alas the shopper has no power in this store. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER shop there again and I'm sorry I even went there to begin with.
I was apprehensive about purchasing on line, but have enough time before my formal to get a new dress if need be, so I went for it. Got the dress in 5 days. The material and quality are GREAT, the fit is exactly true to the size I always get, and it looks exactly like the picture online. I couldn't be happier!
The site was very easy to use with many selections. This is my first daughter homecoming and didn't want to break the bank. I found her a beautiful dress under $100 and she loves it!
I was very weary on purchasing a dress from an online site. Especially after hearing so many horror stories. But after doing lots of research and reading a few reviews on the actual site I decided to go ahead with it. Got my package today. Was shipped from New Jersey. Ordered it on a Thursday night and the dress arrived on Tuesday by UPS. Beautifully and carefully wrapped. Dress came on a hanger and wrapped in plastic! Fun little thank you note inside. Dress looks just like the pictures and fits true to sizes on size chart! It's so soft! I'm thoroughly pleased! Will definitely be ordering from simplydresses.com again!

My daughter loved her dress, so that was great! However, the first one we ordered was too small, so we had to return it and purchase a larger size. That wouldn't normally be an issue with most retailers, but here we had to pay a restocking fee, plus return shipping, plus shipping again for the replacement dress. I will consider other retailers with less-restrictive policies first next time, as this proved to be a very expensive endeavor.
UPDATE: Simply Dresses refunded our restocking fee, since we reordered the same dress in a different size. I appreciate the responsive customer service!

Purchased two drssses for my daughter for homecoming. Neither fit because they're sizing chart is wayyy off. Returned both for a store credit. I have been waiting a week (5 business days) for my voucher needed to purchase another dress for her. I called and emailed on the 5th business day per their website return policy and they are now stating it can take 10 business days for the credit. I asked them to check with the warehouse to see where we are in the process but they refused. I asked for my funds released today so I can have a dress in time for homecoming, again refused. I waited the 5 business days as stated, and still nothing. If you're looking for a dress for a certain date, don't order from here -You may end up without a dress! The reps were short and curt and had no empathy or compassion for the customers. What should be a fun day, is turned into a stressful one. I will never do business with them again. Nothing should take 2 weeks to process in 2016 - That's absurd!

According to your order the return authorization number was issued on 9/8 but the return wasn't shipped out until 9/16 to be received on 9/20. Please note that we do ask for the return to be postmarked within 5 days but this return was sent after that time. The store credit was able to be issued in 4 business days on 9/26 and provided to the email address in the order. We apologize for any confusion!
Purchased a dress for my daughter and had to pay $22 for two day shipping in order to get it on time for her event. Ordered on a Sunday and didn't receive until Wednesday... 2 days to me meant Tuesday delivery. When I called I was told two day shipping meant two business days... that's not what I saw when placing the order.
Once we received the dress it was HUGE! I requested a RA# to return the dress. I then had to pay $10 to ship the dress back plus lost the $22 I paid for the "two day" shipping PLUS a 10% restocking fee for a dress we had for 24 hours. I would NEVER buy from this company again. You're better off finding something from Macy's or Amazon who offer free shipping and returns.

Please note business days are Monday through Friday, non holiday, and this information can be found on our shipping page. Unfortunately the $22 shipping charge cannot be refunded because it is used by UPS to deliver the package and there were no delays. Please note you can contact us by phone, chat, or email if you have any questions before an order is placed. Although our offices are closed on the weekends, emails will still be answered if any questions arise.
For returns, we do offer a UPS shipping label for $8 that includes tracking and insurance, or you can use the method of your choice. According to your order it has been noted that the sizing was different than you expected so it can be measured when it arrives. If the dress matches the chart, the restocking fee will be charged per policy but if it is incorrect, it will be waived at that time. We're very sorry for any misunderstanding and we appreciate your patience as your return processes!
Dress received was different from photos. I ordered white and it was ivory. Also, while the top was pretty and a nice quality, the bottom was see through even while wearing a slip! Not good quality. AND I have to pay a 10% restocking fee to return the dress that is not acceptable to wear. I won't be shopping here again.

I ordered a dress last minute and the overall quality was a 5 star. Free Delivery and packaged to perfection. I love the prices, selection, free shipping, and quality. Quality and true to size.
Not only do the clothes not fit true to size, I even measured myself based on their listed size chart and the dress did not match the listed size. When I called them, they said I would have to pay for shipping to return the dress, despite the fact that it was their misinformation that led to the need for a return. I am a size 4/6 and I need a size 14 for the dress to fit me. Furthermore, the customer service representatives I spoke with (I called twice), were both rude and unhelpful. I have never written a review for any store or website before but felt I had to warn people about this one. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from them ever again.

We purchased a white dress for our daughters graduation and when we got the dress it was actually baby blue and white. We tried to return in the very day we got it... first we were told that we needed to send a picture of the full dress both front and back. When we finally got the return authorization there is a cost to return the dress for shipping as well as a 10% restocking fee! It states nothing on the return paperwork of all these processes and additional charges... LET THE BUYER BEWARE!

I'm looking for a Mother of the Groom dress. I received the dress from Simply and was unsure due to the stiff itchy laced arms. Unfortunately I didn't note the return policy, 7 days, really!
This dress is still new and for sale on the site at the same purchase price. They refuse to work with refunding this dress. I will never purchase from here again and highly recommend others don't as well. Sometimes dress decisions take longer than 7 days!

I am 5'6 and a size 0 and I bought a small, and I thought it was a little big/ loose. But other than that it was beautiful and better than I was expecting for the price! It also came very quickly.
Sure they charge a 10% restocking fee, but dress boutiques don't accept returns at all! My teens will order a couple of dresses for events such as prom or homecoming. They try them on and we return the ones they don't want. It's worth that 10% to not have to drive all over from store to store wasting gas and time trying on dresses in snobby dress shops.

I ordered a bridesmaids dress with the hopes it would be "the one", but the dress was not a good length fit to my surprise. The website specified the hem size in a separate window with the height of the model which was the same as my bridesmaids. The dress was too short on both of them so we had to return it. Restocking fee of $15 was waived as a courtesy but I was responsible for shipment fee which they charged me $50 USD. The shipment back only costed me $18 USD. I called simply dresses hoping they would be reasonable enough to at least reimburse me for half of the $50 dollars they charged me but they did not comply. I found the shipment fee incredibly expensive with no reasonable explanation. I was very unsatisfied with how they handled my experience and will never shop with them again.

I ordered a dress in Size Medium, and although the shipping was fast, the dress was way too big. After I looked at their return policy, THEY CHARGE YOU FOR RETURNING! They would only give me $50 of the $70 I spent for it. At this point I'd rather pay to get the dress altered.

I was wary of ordering from this site due to mixed reviews, however, my recent purchase exceeded my expectations. I ordered the dress on a Sunday evening and it arrived the following Wednesday. The dress was well packed and exactly as described. It fits my daughter almost perfectly. The measurements provided on the site were very specific and helped us to choose our size. The dress I purchased was a "final sale" item and could not be returned or exchanged. It was almost 1/3 of the original price. I was very happy with the quality and price of the item. Not sure I would have paid the original list price, but for around $50 it was a bargain. I took a chance and ordered it and was very happy I did so.
I would recommend that before you purchase from this site you read the "fine print". Each dress has measurements available with its description. It's important to check these over as there can be different measurements for dresses of the same size depending upon the manufacturer. The return policy is very strict - only five days. Original tags must still be on the dress and there is a restocking fee. Final sale items can not be returned.
I would definitely order from this site again if I saw something I liked in the price point I wanted.
