I've had three men try to scam money from me on this site. They all start texting, want your number, then are called out of the country and you need to download an app like Skype. They continue to text and about 10 days into this they need money now. Please don't fall for it.

When it comes to dating and relationships you expect a website to have a certain amount of care for its customers; after all aren't they there to help you find friendship and love? Matches can be hundreds of miles away (in my case across the Irish Sea). My main gripe is the auto-renewal, which it will do after the initial subscription and you no longer have the right of withdrawal as it expires after the 14 day initial subscription. I had no email outlying the terms of the contract and I thought I'd set it up to NOT auto renew yet it did. So, read the Terms of the Contract carefully, make sure you check at least 7 days before that it will not auto renew and take snapshots of all your emails with regard to your subscription. The fact that they have clauses to stop you cancelling easily should in itself sound alarm bells. "They're after your money love," as we Yorkshire folk would say.

The worst experience I had. Automatized program for unannounced reason blocks your profile, people you interacted with receive the letter of "investigation". Nobody helps you restoring your reputation, while the support team sends letters that are signed by Indian comedian... Indecent. Unacceptable.

Not happy with SilverSingles at all. Most of my matches dId not have a photo and dId not fill out the "Interests" section. So, I was supposed to take my time to request a photo for someone who I didn't know what they were interested in? I counted one day the Matches I had with no photo... 95 Matches, 65 had no photo. It should be mandatory to have at least one photo and to fill out the Interests section... And, I couldn't specify a height range or search for what I was actually looking for, not just depend on being forwarded Matches... so, I was expected to read every profile to find out if they had what I was looking for. The fake profiles were NEVER-ENDING. Fake messages from people who had no Profile and many members with fake profiles. THIS SITE TAKES WAY TOO MUCH TIME FOR NO RESULTS. Asked for a refund because of these reasons... answer was NO.

Crappy site! Not worth a dime. Their matching algorithm is filthy with no regard to your search criteria. The reply rate is 1-2%. The overall vibe is awful. You just waste your time and money on drama queens and busted cans of biscuits here. I've had enough of this. Silversingles is geared to rip you off. To add further fire to the flames they charge you for 6 months right away and you can do nothing about it because they indicate it somewhere in their hidden sophisticated fine print.
All these websites that are created for membership fees are full of fake profiles. It takes years to find a real woman there.

AT first it was a nice site, they appeared to weed out potential scammers, and have met some nice ladies on this site, I would have given them four stars the first several months, but for the last 3-5 months, I've been getting 10, then 20 or 30 a day after I complained to the site (waste of effort), they deny there is a problem and say they don't know about it, check out all the other BAD reviews. The most common one I get is way too young, way OUTSIDE my desired distance and 90% of them have their emails in the their screen names and or phone numbers on their face of main photo, obvious scam techniques

There are real profiles, you can connect with real people. The problem is there are so many fakes, it's really becoming a pain. There are 100 fake "smiles" for every one, the garbage just clogs your in-box.

My first "match" I met here is a scammer. I didn't loss any money because I am smart enough not to be fooled, and strong enough to pull it through. The scammer keeps harassing me but it's not considered as a crime by SilverSingles, therefore they refuse to release his identity due to "privacy concern". The scammers are harbored and boldened knowing there are no consequence of their behaviors. Some innocent people are hurt sooner or later. I'd like to say stayaway from this website as much as you can.

Beware! I wished I had read reviews first before becoming a member. They automatically renew your services and steal $167 from your Paypal with no warning. They claim they sent me several reminders and they may have but I only open mail from sources I know. The email says it is from "Support Spark Networks Services GmbH" WTH? Oh, and talk about cons on this network. And butt ugly men suggestions. I am so disgusted with this situation and ticked off that they refuse to refund me that $167 they stole.

I have online dated plenty over the years, and have had wonderful experices. Silver Singles has been a horrible experience. I have been on less than 2 weeks and the amount of fake accounts that reach out is unreal. I would not be able to trust one now if it was real. The one I actually thought was real I got a message saying he is being investigated. If you value anything about yourself stay away feom this site. There is risk with online dating no matter what, but this site was unreal! I wasted a 6 month membership because there was no way I would give my phone # to anyone on it after I realized how bad it was. It dows nit always show the true colors in the first 3 days. I put a one because you have to click it for review but I give it a 0... I do not leave bad reviews, I usually feel if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing at all. This experience warrented talking about.

Without question you will be spending more time deleting scammers and spammers than dealing with a match. A few matches within my 50 mile rage but most outside it.
Plus I can't tell the legitimate matches from the spammers.
If you like dealing with scammers and spammers and spend your time perusing the fake profile this is the site for you.
DO NOT USE PAYPAL - I did and I thought I had it removed and they dinged another 3 months. Pisses me off.
Run from this site it is a total waste of time and money

I continually received emails from people asking me to contact a "friend" who was not a member. I repeatedly reported this behavior and they did nothing. You won't get your money back if you cancel because of these deceptive people. Don't waste your time or money on Silver Singles.

I've been on SilverSingles.com for several months and gone through hundreds of profiles on the site.

**ALL** profiles presented by SilverSingles are either:
1) Catfishing scammers trying to get you to go off site with phone numbers or email on profile pictures
2) Catfishing scammers with a success story and please call/write my friend who is looking stories.
3) dead accounts that do not respond at all

This site is clearly a total SCAM... avoid it completely, and don't expect anything for your money if you do pay.

I would not be suprised at all if the site is directly operated by the catfishing scammers from the way it responds if you log in to it.

I have been on this site for 9 months. Being 60, it seemed one of the most appropriate choices. That being saId, I have identified three typical (and none are legit) responses I receive.
1) Beautiful woman (mostly Asian) in mid 30's who own a country or two or some ridiculous status of wealth
2) OK looking woman in their 30's, 40's, 50's who are kind of nearby (<200 miles away), but they have added a cell phone number, written on their face or somewhere in the pic and, lastly
3) The woman who is around my age, somewhat local, but "has found the love of my love" and was in the process of canceling her members when by chance, her single best friend was looking over her should and saw my profile and wants to meet me. But, oh, she is too shy to create a profile and would I mind e-mailing her at...
I have never received even one legitimate response... ever! I believe the site is a scam from top to bottom and as a consistently active member for 9 months, I gave not seen anything to convince me otherwise. Goodbye, Silver Singles, let's see if Ourtime is legit at all...

I am 72. Divorced, and no stranger to on line 'dating'. Meeting now, is just as challenging, as dating. In my 2nd six month membership now with SilverSingles. It started out ok, then turned to a huge pain. They can not get a grip on the profiles that appear with a text/phone number written on the ONE picture. OR their name is an email address. I included some examples. Just a phishing technique. You will even get the elaborate paste and send bit that their profile was a success, they are getting married soon and it was their last day (so don't bother replying) but my friend saw your profile and has been all over me to get you to contact them. Then an email to write to. Etc etc. Madness. Silver singles brags on their ability to find these idiots. NO, they don't. I get 20+ a day of all three spammer messages. The vast majority come from someone way out of your age preferences, but the spammers are moving that age around. Silver singles also owns Elite singles so there must be no desired age limits given there? One customer service rep bragged that they were the 3 largest Christian dating sites in the world. WHAT? That was news to me. Lol. They mix in all the profiles from the sites. Customer service is terrible. It was ok at first, when I joined, but now it is dismal. Just vetting the fakes takes up your precious time. Doing their job, come to mind. It's hopeless, and the one or two people I have had contact with seem to drift away or I have to scroll thru the maze of spammers to see the 'thread'. It has gotten so bad I figured it was some sort of corporate espionage from a larger company, to buy their name, as this site and two more are based out of Berlin. As if Covid was not bad enough, now a war in Europe, and what solstice was given from online meeting has turned into another misery. Typical of a lot of dating sites. Just give me your CC #...
Last line. Don't waste your TIME or your MONEY.
