I wrote a long review - they would not let me post! I gave 100 characters the first Time they would not post my review! I'm out 167.00 - customer service is horrible, I think
From another country - why do I have to have 100 characters to send a review? I have been scammed please tell me when you will accept my review!
To begin with it showed a lot of prospects though most had only one pic. The last 8 have absolutely NO pictures, very little information and appear to be fake! I have had NO new matches in a week except one who had only one picture and very minimal information! Further more when the price is stated they do not tell you they bill your credit card up front for six months! It's a major rip off! As others have stated if you talk to anyone they suddenly disappear! Don't join, I paid 165.00 for nothing! I filed a complaint through PayPal... the customer page is non existent!
I signed up, but cancelled 2 days later when I realized it's not free as advertised. The next day after cancelling, I received 4 scam phone calls supposedly from Social Security saying my account was cancelled due to suspicious activity. The next day after that I started getting a lot of spam about dating and senior issues. They obviously sell your info and do not keep it private as advertised on their website. They are committing FALSE ADVERTISING as well as other unscrupulous activities!
I was sincere and heartbroken when I signed up for SilverSingles. My husband had died a year ago and I was lonely. I really was scammed. It is ridiculous how they feature nice looking and educated people they cut out of a magazine. There is NO WAY to contact the principals. I spoke with some nice desperate, sad men who did not deserve to be tricked.

I decided to do SilverSingles for one month to see if I wanted to use it. In reading these reviews, I also received the email from a guy saying I was gorgeous and told me to hit him up on What's App to arrange a coffee date. But, the biggest issue is that after just a week after paying for the service, I received an email stating that I had changed the email address on my account - which I DID NOT! And now I have no access to my account - so I can't cancel the service and they can just keep billing me monthly because I can't cancel. They do not have a customer service phone number and their response when you send in an email is that they will do their best to get back to you within 48 hours... But I read here that someone else's account was hacked and they wanted to charge them $199.99 to fix the issue. UGH!
There appears to be ransomware attached to the "request password change" link. I was told I had been hacked and that it would cost $199.99 to get it fixed.
Awful experience. Every contact was bogus. Profiles would appear real, but communication only lasted two exchanges and with no explanation from the person and no obvious reason, stop cold. The intent of this is to keep men interested, thinking they really are talking to someone. Stay away, you will lose your money. It should be illegal and is unethical and shameful to prey on people who are sincerely looking for someone special in their life.

This is a terrible "service." Really, don't bother. No profiles to search. No one responds. Few have pics. Once you're in, they control the game. You wait every day for new matches that are 99% (in my case), not of interest, no pics, generally off base. The ones I do like never respond. Cost me $60+ dollars! Grrrrrrrr
What sort of trash site is this, I go to block your intrusive ad and fb says "One reason you're seeing this ad is that SilverSingles wants to reach people with relationship status "In a relationship" on their Facebook profiles." So you are trying to ruin relationships to get new suckers for your site. Shame on you pathetic people!
This site is the worst I have seen so far for mature singles. Very few people, communication is not great, their suggestions are from other provinces and even in the US. I'm going to cancel without even finishing out my subscription, it's pointless.
I made friends on this site. One told me he wasn't online when it said he was, nor did he check out my profile. Others told me the same thing. They maintain many profiles of people no longer members. Please don't waste your money!
I was just about to sign up. Thank goodness for this site with real reviews. Now I know I kissed out on nothing! It's a wonder how the reviews on their site are so positive... Phewww
Do not know why I didn't check the reviews, this site needs to be shut down and prosecuted. Any ideas how all of us could do that?
The larger scam was you don't know how many people are involved. The one method that was tried on me. I had a woman write to me and say " hi gorgeous, I'm leaving this site but I have a beautiful young woman friend that is in town for business and looking for an honest man." She gave me her gmail. We talked a lot. Long story short. She said she had to go to the Netherlands for business but as luck would have it she said she needed my credit cards or bank account. Because she lost hers and was stuck. Just coincidence?
Terrible customer service. My preference get changed for me without my input.
A cost to see picture. After you spend time setting up a profile THEN they charge you to actually see anything. THEN they are willing to cancell my 6 months for but it will cost me 80% of my 6 month membership... Ive only had it for a week! REALLY SAD AND MAD.! Week! To cancell they want to keep 80%! RIDICULOUS
Silversingles (Spark Networks Services GmbH) uses "tiny print" multiple times and the final charges are 5 times higher than the charges stated and are nonrefundable and are nonnegotiable. Once you provide the payment method there is no cancellation no communication and no service. When you cancel which you must do they immediately cancel and there is no response period. You must cancel your credit card or fear the auto renewal; you cannot trust Spark Networks Services GmbH Listed on the NYSE under symbol "LUV" A global company that takes far more than it gives.
I canceled my membership after paying 104 for 3 month trial. They claimed they I did not use the right way to cancel and was charged again. They would not refund my second 104.00 and put me in a bind. There are much better sites out there.
I believe this site has a very small membership base. Of all the matches I received, less than 1/4 had profile pictures. Having belonged to a few other sites, I never experienced anything like that before so my conclusion is that the site doesn't use genuine profiles. This was an expensive lesson to learn; glad I only paid for one month! Just don't do it... keep browsing!
In one area you pick distance. Your closest option is 50 miles.In another area there is a sliding scale. I chose 30 miles. I reset and it doesnt stay then It goes back to 300 miles. I get prospects in other states... none within 30 miles. This site isn't worth the time or money invested. Pick another site friends!
