This is the most unsecure site I have participated in. Numerous fake profiles fishing for information, Everything you put on your profile must go through a review before it appears, after over a month of my profile information not being reviewed I had to message them. I also want to note that some of the profile information will be edited by Silver Singles using words I never said. Majority of the so called matches have no profile photos and limited information. I have also found it difficult to report fake profiles. DO NOT SIGN UP. I have found Match.com to a more user friendly site. I will try attach a screen shot of a typical fishing message, I have received many of nearly identical messages.
Con artists profiles run rampant on SilverSingles while normal genuine people's profiles get blocked for no reason. Mine was blocked 3 days after I made a payment. This site is owned and run by a pack of crooks and it's so deceitful - a daylight robbery! Avoid this pile of feces!
Silver Singles has tons of men on its site who claim to live in the US but they don't. Either they need to do better at verification, like the money from these scammers or maybe they create them? Just some thoughts. Anyway, it is awful and you'll pay for 6 most. At a time with automatic renewal. Select another site instead.
This is a horrible site - please don't waste your time with them. They take it upon themselves to adjust whatever photo you have posted and edit/change it to show only your face - I mean a very, very, very zoomed in shot of your face. I was horrified when I checked my profile and all I saw was my face, every line, wrinkle and scar - none of the background images of boats or gardens or nature - just a big FACE. How embarrassing. As I said, keep clear of these nasty people.
I give them no stars, but I have to give them something, otherwise my review isn't accepted. You cannot search, you can only accept the "leads" they give you. Half or more of the leads are "dead prospects". No one has replied to me. This is a terrible dating site.

I tried to stop automatic review of my subscription, but they tell me that password is wrong. So I am trying to change my password... and it is impossible! They connect you to a wrong link! Guys and gals, to be alone is not so bad compare to dealing with scammers!
After searching for a customer service number, I finally get a guy I can barley understand.He tells me my account has been compromised and needs to access my computer, if that does not spell SCAM What does?
I thought I would find a mature and family-oriented woman of my age on Silversingles, but I was mistaken. It looks like SilverSingles' popularity is on the decline now, so all they can offer is a bunch of outdated profiles and a few bot-written vague introduction messages with no follow-up. I exchanged a few letters with one lady but she was full of ego and somewhat socially unhinged. To cut it short, SilverSingles don't supply what they promise and therefore they are not worth the money they are asking for.
This site is not to be trusted. They don't have that many people who join. The matches appear to be pulled randomly out of a hat. They bill anually and entice membership with a low monthly fee. They debited my card $179 and after 2 weeks I tried to cancel that is when I found out they don't do refunds. I joined and in my first week I received 38 recommendations and only 1 was a true match. The 2nd week I noticed the same pattern, that is when I decided to cancel my membership.
This site along with Elite, Zoosk and Christian Mingle (they are all the same site basically) has you fill out a profile and then fill in preferences for a potential match. The matches they pick do not meet the majority of your preferences. For example, I picked non smoke as extremely important and the matches they sent were smokers. They also failed on the distance I was willing to travel as well as the ethnicity of potential matches. Also, the pics of other members are blurred so you cannot see what they look like. These sites are a waste of time and money.
They billed me 2 times with $89.70, even screen shots from my bank account. The morons couldn't figure it out. I thought German people were smart... JUST CLEVER! DON'T GO WITH THESE PEOPLE.
I expected to pay only 24.00 amonth for membership fee but got scammed for 239.70. Now upon cancellation, the site refuses to return refund.
I could never get a response from Silver Singles about getting a partial refund, so I turned to American Express, which got my money back. And then they sent me messages saying they were waiting for payment from me! Why hadn't I paid! So poorly run, one hand doesn't know what other is doing.
You can surely TRY it. But get out before the three days is up. If you don't, your money is lost and that's the way they like it!
At first this looked good. I should've known when I saw that the company was German. Why would a foreign company be running a service for Americans? Did that make sense. But, it looked good, so I thought why not try it. The three day acceptance period should've been a red flag. Most services have 30 days... and you get a full refund. I wasnt looking for a full refund if I didn't like the service. I wanted the service. So ive asked for a partial payback. We'll see if I have one positive thing to tell. But the negatives were plenty: a few days after I signed on, I couldn't access the site. My internet service was working perfectly. I could access every other site I regularly went to. I got no people matched to me in the "quit time" of three days. I finally started sending out smiles. By week two I got a few smiles back. So I asked questions of the people who'd smiled at me. A few minimal responses and nothing. THen I was being matched with bunches of men with no photos. It said photo upon request. I kept requesting photos and got no pictures. And I starting reading poorly written profiles. Bad grammar, English, nonsense responses. Where do you feel most at home: at home. What? Sarcasm? What is most important in your life: Jesus, my faith, my church. The answers were errily alike. Bland profiles a child could write with minimal information about what goes on in New Orleans. No adult with a high school education would write so poorly about their interests if they were seeking to lure a dating partner.
There were app problems all the time. I'd send a comment, but I couldn't add a message along with the comment. It's some fly by night operation. There is no customer service phone assistance. Only email contact that is acknowledged 24 to 48 hours after a request for help is sent. I simply didn't put it all together until now.
Another useless site that makes money out of people who are trying to find a partner. I signed up for this site and paid the subscription and then I downloaded the app but the subscription doesn't show on the app. It took ages to find a contact form for a refund, what is the bet I don't get a refund? Don't bother with this site as I filled in my distance preference which was 50 miles of where I live and guess what, no matches - I am sick of being ripped off by these sites

This site is full of scammers. Within less than a month I was contacted by 3 of them. Sometimes it's not that easy to find this out. SilverSingles does nothing about it. When I changed my occupation in my profile, the new job title was "in review" for more than a day and I would assume they checked that there is nothing inappropriate in this box. At the same time having scammers on site and do nothing about it is Ok.
I reported the scam an provided an E-mail address of the person, that can be traced to the IP address of his or her computer, the phone number that can be traced to the person this phone belongs to and all other information I had on this matter. The answer was they don't recommend me to talk to this person any more. A very good and helpful advice. Probably they were thinking that after reporting the scam next thing I do is send the scammer my SSN and bank information. My opinion is that they just collect money and do not care about safety and security of their customers at all.
I wonder if the people are real?! Terrible site! Very seldom does any of the persons respond, even when I tell a great joke! Lots of profiles does not have pictures! It is like a ghost town. It seems many of these profiles are FAKE!
