Signed up and was charged twice, once through the German parent company, then through PayPal fraudulently. They throw a dozen so called "matches" a day at you whom most are no longer active members and over half don't fit your profile answers at all. You can't reach them to change your account status. I cancelled membership, but my profile is still being promoted and I keep receiving bogus matches. Complete scam hidden in Germany.

I uploaded photos which remained for 4 weeks and the all of a sudden they were gone except for one and they were just facial photos. No note or message as to why.
The matches that they make are not the matches that i would have chosen. You cannot peruse the site and they generate the matches. Not a good system
Messages received are difficult to answer as the site seems to have a glinch or sort
The worst is you must sign up for a minimum of 6 months which cost me $179. NOT WORTH IT!

This app is designed to steal your money. The fact that you can't sign up for a single month is an example. Majority of potential mates are in other states, of which the app doesn't even tell which state. You will need to continuously look up cities to find out the people are a few states away. Also received numerous fraudulent account reaching out to me. Requested a refund after the first week or so and offered to pay for a month, but they refused and am stuck with a worthless 6 month subscription. You can't search on your own, you only get options the app sends to you. Providing a preferred distance is a waste because it completely ignores that portion. The company is located in Germany and is not subject to US law and fraudulent criminal activity. I could go on, but hopefully you understand my comments. I suggest you spend your money elsewhere!

This site is a complete waste of money. You cannot do anything if you're not a paid member and I was suckered into thinking there were viable matches in my area contacting me so I stupidly signed up for a 3 month membership (something like $45 and change). I have spoken with ONE man and he lives over an hour from me. It didn't go anywhere. The vast majority of your matches won't be anywhere near you, and even if there were more matches near you, you cannot speak to them if they are not also a paid member. I've done better on free sites (MUCH better). I can't prove it, but I feel like most of the profiles are either fake or very old. I tried to look up reviews about this site and kept finding ones where it was listed as one of the top rated sites; wish I'd seen these reviews first.

They charge you up front to use site and once your on and build your profile they sent you matches as usual but you set a range and they feed you people from the whole data base. Lucky if there are a few within your true search. Note they won't refund you for your upfront. Charges either. Criminal they run with your 179 bucks and not even proven results for matches. Would rather use the free sites and put up with catfish and scam accounts

I have used several other online dating sites in the past, very successfully! Now, I'm single again and much older. The Silversingles option seemed right! I was wrong! Hardly ANY responses despite my reaching out- ( and I'm very date-able!)and the process of weeding through the so- called matches is tedious, unnecessary and is NOT SCREENED FOR YOUR PREFERENCES! I will never recommend SilverSingles to anyone!
Oh, and the customer support? Ha! They are in GERMANY, so go figure the time difference and interest in helping you out with the many site frustrations.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone... their requirements for using the site are buried deep in the fine print and they will disable your account without any notification.
What horrible thing did I do you might wonder?
I filled out their questionnaire and wrote some great essays, however, I did not want to post any pictures of myself. I'm on the pretty side and simply wanted to avoid superficial guys. I figured that way any responses I would get were from someone that was looking at the inner me rather than the shell. I certainly thought that was more honest than posting a fake picture, as many on this site do.
Well, it took me weeks to get my money refunded and not only did I have to cancel in writing, but follow up with several phone calls.
